Actually I find it funny how the main three Frankie, Draculaura, and Clawdeen have all been the main character. Well… Across the generations at least.

G1 will and forever be ICONIC
Imo that as a result of producing things that are more child-friendly, many of the things that we (2014 and older) grew up on are now "something that wouldn't work anymore". Somehow, no one had ever been bothered by a scary witch scaring children with a stove or a villain jumping out of nowhere. now, if you have such a witch, all you need to do is meet for tea because she won't do anything to you
We learned thanks to such productions what is good and what is bad, and now even new cartoons do not teach us, nothing stands out in them and everything is either too simple or very sweet.
Frankies dad in g1 wasnt victor , victor is the doctor who made her dad
The frankenstein monster doesnt have a name but in the book it did mention the name “adam” so i personally call him that
Also i really think people still believe the writers made lagoona latina cause of the black lagoon monster dont realise the amazon isnt in honduras - i doubt even the creators for g3 knew his from the amazon
I do think its weird they even made her a pirhania because im pretty sure those arent native to honduras but thats my personal pet peeve
Yea! In the freaky fusion movie he literally said “I have a granddaughter!” Which is Frankie!
Please do Toralei next in part 2, she has now become a fan favorite for many, from school bully to brave friend of the boo ( especially g3 series )

I wanna clarify that G3 Clawdeen's mother is also a werewolf, but she can turn human using the moonclaw talisman me thinks

I found Monster High in 2012. I was 11. I still love the uniqueness of it !!

I'm biased for G1, but G3 looks like fun. The change in lore/characters has me hesitant to embrace it, though (Draculaura wanting to be a witch, Clawdeen being half-werewolf, Howleen not being her sister, Clawd being her younger brother, etc).
no it's not fun, anything else you say is INVALID. because gen 3 is terrible, ugly and lost all of the soul of the original works. main message of the franchise: "Be monster, be unique". Now they look so basic and uninspired, I wanna throw up when I look at them.
For what it’s worth, howleen is supposedly going to be revealed to be her cousin I heard from a leak but that leak was before season 2 production so some stuff has changed. Clawdeen x toralei in g3 was going to be in season 2 but isn’t anymore (apparently idk maybe it will be as it’s still on production at the time of writing). Also It actually makes sense for them to be together in g3 and tbh I am not a big fan of them being together in g1 haha. G3 Tor is like kinda Cleo in g1 kinda. She’s a frenemy but a bit more antagonistic than Cleo. Tor in g1 is a professional fucking hater.
I think it's odd that you mentioned Lagoona's new nationality and Ghoulia talking but not Draculaura and her father not having Romanian accents anymore.
does abby still have a russian accent?

Also I think that G3 Clawdeen isn’t clumsy as she’s actually the most athletic were-creature in school (with the help of her moonclaw Talisman). Looking forward to the other character comparisons and also to know your opinion or preference of the generations :)

Honestly, g2's animation was so pretty.
I will say: Some changes are good. Some are... kinda dumb. Like, they are being less inclusive by trying to be inclusive. (Like making Ghoulia verbal*.)
The most disturbing part to me, is that Frankie decided to make a sister. And *somehow* found enough pre-teen kid parts within 30 minutes on the school ground to make Alivia... Like... they just have those laying around I guess.

I think the thing that bothers me most for G3, despite my love of its dolls, is how they handled some of the lgbt stuff and character changes. There were so many cool ideas for duece being trans since he's got medusa hair, draculaura and clawdeen dating, ghoulia and cleo, all of those were such good ideas that I woulda loved to see, tho maybe since fans went with them it meant they couldnt use them? idk how that works. non binary frankie rocks tho, it fits really well with the many people brain thing, to turn down the op tho they coulda had it that it takes them some time to remember past stuff or get headaches from using old knowledge
also clawdeen's new style just doesnt feel like it fits her, I loved clawdeen and her fashion so much and i just dont get how everyone is monsters but witchcraft is the limit? like actual dang monsters!
i guess because witchcraft is a spiritual, (typically) human practice? they say that monsters live in an alternate, semi-parallel universe so maybe witchcraft isnt a monster universe thing?
@@coatimundi69 as someone who is a witch- they made witchcraft into this supernatrual power then a spirtuality, which isnt at all how witchcraft is like
Not to mention the mere fact monsters hate witches make no sense-witchcraft was often part of the origin for many monsters like werewolves & vampires
Its obv they just saw how trendy witchcraft is & stopped all their research at that, i highly doubt they even know what witchcraft actually is and just base it off stereotypes

G1 will always have a special place in my heart, but G2 had a better storyline and G3 has both a better story and better rounded characters
I prefer the style of g1, but in my opinion g3 is better than g1 in terms of characters (at least for being so new)

G3 just happens to have the additional budget to put in the extra effort that was lacking in G1. The characters feel like actual monsters instead of just having monstrous traits, not to mention the LGBT, disability and diversity G3 has in spades in comparison to G1 to the point of even putting the extra work to cast actors that are nonbinary, disabled and whose race matches said character. Never forget what a mess G1 Abbey was and how Howleen was whitewashed.

To be honest I actually like that G3 Frankie is non-binary. I even named my Silvally after them in Pokemon Shield. You know, cuz Silvally is a gender-neutral simulacrum Pokemon.

I think gen 1 has better movies but gen 3 has a more interesting story line in the series. Though I love the characters in both generations I think Cleo, Lagoona and Ghoulia were best in gen 1.
Say what you will about G2, but at least they weren’t up their own butts changing/erasing characters’ identities to feel like they actually did something. Example: Moanica was only supposed to be Ghoulia’s replacement, not Ghoulia herself, she had her own role and background.
G1 ghoulia has to be my favourite and they kind of ruined her in g3. But I feel the opposite about lagoona. I don’t care much for her in g1 and her relationship with Gil is so frustrating. She is so funny, unhinged and interesting in g3, her VA brings unprecedented charisma to every scene she is in.

Seeing the changes from gen 1 to gen 3 have just been saddening amd its not because I'm biased towards gen 1. The transformation has just been to accommodate how real life has currently become and therefore have made the characters seem less like the monsters from the story books🤦♀️for example why tf did they make ghoulia able to talk. Like no, I appreciated that gen 1 ghoulish spoke with moans. Lil details like that. Another on is Cleo's lack of bandages. She's a mummy for goodness sakes🤦♀️ give her some more god damn bandages. And Frankie is a lil too freaky in my opinion. They just did too much with her
I don't get the thing witches in Gen 3

I honestly have mixed feelings about G3. I loke that we are actually trying to give the characters more to do but some of the things that they went with, I just really dont like. For example, what they did with the changes to Deuce and Ghoulia, honestly doesnt sit right. We got rid of cleo and ghoulia's friendship and got rid of her talking in zombie. Why? Also, I dont like Deuce's snakes part in the storytelling; some of the plotlines they use them for could easily still work if they showed his friendships with the other cast members more.
I didn't watch any of the new gen, but as soon as I saw new design I barfed. And MH died for me

My opinions on each generation:
Based on the show:
G1-Great show and movies,can feel a bit childish at times but it's still has great media.
G2-Barbified version of monster high
G3-Better than G2 based on the plot,like the body representation but some things:like Cleo and Frankie being in a love relationship I really hate.
Based on the dolls:
G1-Classics back when Mattel made their dolls with love and quality.
G2-Most of the time they look too budget-ty or knock-offs
G3-The dolls of this gen have become better and better(looking at G3 Venus and Abby)

The new gen monster high sucks booty and no one van convince me other wise. The fashion is gone the Gothic style is gone the ACTUALLY GOOD BACK STORY IS GONE they've done all the ghouls dirty giving them cankles and ugly clothes😭😭
i completely agree with you, i even call the g3 Monster High as Barbie High sometimes,, since they're literally like barbie, but if barbie decided to turn their dolls into monster. They're even racist now and race swapped character. They turned Headless Headmistress Bloodgood from white to black, which is disgusting and they tuned Lagoona BLUE to pink which is also disgusting, so they should have named Lagoona Blue to Lagoona Pink now. And theres so much other stuff too, but it will just end up being too long

tbh i hate g3 they ruined every character like whats with lagoona cleo and frankie having feelings with each other?? and they ruined deuce and cleos relationship everyone like loved them. and clawdeen is so different from before she doesnt have her badass personality . and look at lagoona shes pink and way different from before and deuce havin feelings for clawdeen is crazy
Thank you! Omg I felt like I was the only one who didn't like the fact that Cleo and frankie are like a thing now? Like they have NEVER showed any liking towards eachother in all the past generations and tbh they're friends but like just barely and now they're suddenly together like what was even the point of that? If they had to have a lgbt couple couldn't they have chosen other ghouls? I'm so upset they broke up Cleo and Deuce. THEY WERE LITERALLY THE POSTER COUPLE OF MONSTER HIGH
