  • Stacer Outlaw 449 packages start at around $25,000 AUD, however Andrew Stephens and the team from Melbourne Marine Centre have optioned up this one to within an inch of its life. Powered by a Mercury 60HP 4-stroke, it's fitted with StressFree anchor winch, MotorGuide Xi5 electric Motor, Fusion stereo package, Garmin sounder, twin livewells and some killer LED lights.
Steve Morgan checks it out on Port Phillip Bay in Victoria.

What was the length on the motor guide? I've picked one of these up with tiller steer (yes, from Melbourne Marine Center), but thinking about adding a trolling motor.
I will add, the fit out from the shop is excellent compared to other places - full safety kit (including 5 lifejackets and everything you need to have for the bays), the rod locker, casting deck, the two live wells, and the alloy trailer. Could have gotten something equivalent elsewhere cheaper, but without all the stuff MMC includes and I'd be adding later.
Only thing that might make life easier is an expandable switch panel and fuse box, but that's not too hard to add if you know what you are doing.

nice boat, but why would you put the freshwater Xi5 on that and then take it into saltwater?? It looks good but...

Hi Matt, the only difference between the SW and FW other than colour is the sacrificial anode, which we have fitted to the Motorguide to allow for salt water use.
