- Cerium will be gas free and will be equipped with an air fryer. After looking high and low for the right I’ve found this and I’m really happy with my choice.

Suggest you get some silicon spatulas to scape the airfryer metal tray - I imagine it's non stick and a metal spoon will damage quickly... But I love the unit!

But seriously, I love that air fryer! They are SO much quicker than the big oven.
I just got one and its brilliant. I am in FL so turning the big oven on is too hot.

Air fryer's are OK but they are power hungry. they use less energy over time but when the heater is on yours is 1.8 kW region. ok if your on land power.
We use a Remoska in the caravan as it's much lower power, still bakes but takes longer. so much less instantaneous power demand (400W).

air friers are just a rebranding of the old convection ovens that have been around for decades. Clever marketing by someone. If anyone wants a more traditional oven looking air frier you can always just buy a microwave/convection oven combi. the size of a microwave. can be used as a microwave and also is a convection oven (air frier) especially handy if you don't have the room for an air frier but already have allotted space for a microwave.
Really glad you were able to find a good cooking solution. Appliances these days seem to be all made out of plastic and have none of the real function that you need. It might be worthwhile to make a sturdy sling for this so you can pick it up easily from wherever it is being stored like some luggage.
In reality - an "Air Fryer" is just a Marketing name for a Convection Oven..... It's an oven with a fan in it to circulate the hot air.
The drippings from the chicken should make those spuds taste AWESOME!
Air Fryer is not just a marketing name for a convection oven the two types do not remotely operate in the same way and the only similarity is that they have a heating element and fan. A Convection oven is a sealed unit and using the fan it calculates the same air over and over around the food and it does not vent hot air out, an air fryer works differently in that the fan is constantly pulling in fresh cold air from outside the oven blowing it over the heating element instantly bringing that air up to temp then pushing it over the food and then right out the back of the air fryer into the room
Glad you did not get a drawer model. We got one, and I added shelves and pans to make it something that cooked a meal, but hubby, the air fryer user, said that it did not cook evenly enough in layers. We got an oven which is better, but I think we need to look further, after watching this video, toward something that fills the vintage propane oven spot in our camper.
Might need a good extraction fan to eliminate steam and condensation.
You mentioned that your induction hob will be going on your unit. You indicated that it would be positioned at the end of the counter on that bend. There is a potential for someone, a child or adult to walk past and knock a saucepan handle.
I may seem interfering but I would never be able to rest without mentioning it. I hope you don't mind.

That draws the same amount of power as my full size fan oven, James, although I'm sure it will heat up quicker, as it's half the size.
It's always a compromise when you're pushed for space.

I have just ordered the same , should have been here yesterday but item delivered but not here , i had a little basket one but it went pop thats why i brought a new one , i've found if its 15 mins cook time do for 10 and check nearly done to incinerated is very quick , they are great when you get used to them
That big battery bank is gonna be a right ball ache to keep charging might as well just use a generator

I have a small drawer type right now but when I need to replace it I plan to get one of the oven type. I think they are called air fryer toaster ovens and are more versatile. I do love my air fryer and use it just about everyday.

Bought same oven just before christmas pretty good no real issues just need to keep on top of cleaning it

My air fryer is the best thing I've bought in years , I cook most things in 15 minutes , and as I have no interest in cooking ( I just want to eat ASAP ) it's great .

It seems to be a bit power-hungry .how is it going to be in the middle of winter. You are going to need a good power supply.
We had wondered this too. We continually cruise so it all works for our induction hob, convection oven, washing machine and separate fridge and freezer …..but for someone who doesn’t do “ much “ milage ……. One wonders 🧐
Could you build an upright unit for the air fryer ( similar to a conventional upright oven unit )

Forget the inverter rating it's the battery charge capability (or lack of) that's the real issue. 😮
Let me recommend that you cook bacon in the air fryer. You will not be sorry.
Convect bake 200c for about 15-20 min

@@alanrichardson1672 can be running for many hours while travelling and not uncommon for boaters to run there engine for a couple of hours while not travelling to charge there batteries
Your videos are really good to watch usually with our young children but we are starting to only watch them later on in the evening as the your choice of words is such that we do not like the children to hear its a shame as they like to watch you building your narrowboat.
We notice you do not swear in front of your children which is correct.
