Steelix as a defender with the option of All-Rounder Onix. You lose mobility as Steelix but gain a massive defensive boost

I've been thinking about Muk as a playable recently. Defender role deff works for it.
New defender should be Wobbuffet. Think about it: he could be entirely based on reflect or revenge damage.
Agree, but based on its appearance and moves i think it is more likely to added as a tank support like wiggly or mime

I want the Lycanrocs as a split evolution in which Midnight form would be defender, Midday a speedster and Dusk an all rounder. A certain pair of abilities would evolve Rockruff to a different Lycanroc. Choosing Accelerock and Sucker punch would evolve it to midday form, Counter and Taunt to midnight form and choosing any other combination would evolve it to dusk form. It would evolve and learn both moves at level 5 or 6. I could explain my delusion further but i think this is enough for a youtube comment.

I would totally love to see Chestnaught as a defender. To complete Kalos trio is cool too
Defender are my fav in pokemon unite, and a big missing one for me is gliscor. Yeah this name gives showdown players some ptsd but think about it, lvl 5 evo, with a high sustainability and great mobility, and instead of focusing on hard CC (like stuns or throw ) it specialized into spreading poisons and others treat like slow and debuff. And a very cool ability in converting ennemi and allies poisons into heal for himself including his own poisoning moves 👍
Ferrothorn defender is needed in Pokémon unite, not only to have a big lump that can just sit still and take damage, punishing physical attackers with some kind of iron barbs passive plus rocky helmet, but also so that we can have a walking animation cycle for the guy.
New defender= Geodude or Rhyhorn. Been waiting to play Golem & Rhydon for too long.
I've always wanted to see if they could make self destruct work as an ability and I think koffing or Geodude would be perfect for it. Give them a ton of health but then make them sacrifice a percentage of it to deal a massive amount of damage in an aoe around them

I’d like to see Tangrowth as a defender. It could utilize its vines as a rooting ability and the move ‘Absorb’ can absorb an attack and store its power to hit them back twice as hard with ‘Power Whip’. Long range ‘Vine Whip’ & i wanna see a Pokémon utilize ‘Leech Seed’

Ferrothorn would be nice~ Some more Gen 5 mons would definitely be lovely to have. I can imagine Ferrothorn having some sort of gimmick about becoming a barrier like Snorlax with its Block skill
I actually really enjoy Curse+Horn Leech, the amount of CC and sustain you have with that build is insane
I love the combo of Horn Leech and then Curse, right before Curse ends Horn Leech again, and then Curse explodes, and then Horn Leech again
Aagron is my pick for a defender but one obscure pick I have thought about as a new defender is Miltank. A kit with Rollout that can hit enemy Pokemon multiple times and deal increased damage with each consecutive hit would be cool. Pair it with a milk drink to heal; the other two moves are Body Slam and Heal Bell/ Rest. It probably won't happen, but it would be sweet.

Technically wiggly's rollout works that eay already, just that you need to hit a wall to get that increased dmg effect lol (it doesn't increse dmg but since it hits more times it kind of does more than if you didn't hit a wall of course).

I think alolan muk is a really good one but I'd also love to see grumpig, we have all rounder/defender hybrids and attacker/defender hybrids but I think grumpig could be kind of a speedster/defender hybrid. Give it a strong movement ability like bounce that you can use to aggressively secure and then maybe introduce psywave as a displacement ability so you can knock people into your team or away from someone they're trying to dive on
I'd love to see golurk in unite! I don't know if he'd be a good defender but a ghost defender could be pretty cool.
You can also use Pain Split on wild mons like Ray to heal as well.
I remember at the end of a match I had 4-5 people trying to ko me as pain split kept me alive longer than I thought it would, for a few seconds. It’s amazing. What would it look like with a comfey late game? Lol
is focus band not needed anymore now on defenders since resguard got added?
loekey torterra would be fire, prob with a cc set with earthquake and wood hammer, and a more speedstery build with shell smash (since he got it recently) and giga drain
Torterra is in my top 5 pokemon of all time and Everytime I raise one I always teach it crunch so I would love to see that in its unite build. Earthquake+wood hammer sounds right but I think it would be so cool for the other build to have crunch and have it play kind of like cho'gath in LOL. Make it a move that executes low health targets and Everytime you get a kill with it you get more max HP and grow in size so by the end of the game you're just this massive land mass walking around the map
Totally need a wobuffet. With a good counter/reflect damage kind of move set.

Torterra would be a great defender option. Id like to see Nidoking but i have a feeling they'd go allrounder with him blegh. Golem or Aggron would be fun defender options too.
I’d like either Magnezone or Probopass as a defender. I think it would be really neat if a Defender used the power of magnetism to group opposing Pokémon together for your team to deal with

I'd love Cradily as a defender. Not sure exactly what to give it in its kit to have it stand out, but it's my favorite pokemon and stats-wise fits the role.

The Nido line where King and Queen are different, but you get male or female randomly at the start of the match. Lol
I want to see a stockpile pokemon. Hippowdon would be cool, Clodsire would be most likely due to its popularity but I think Swalot would be best.
Have a mon that gives itself defenses that stack towards either a massive heal with Swallow or a huge AOE bomb with Spit Up. It could have Toxic or Sludge Wave as move 1. I imagine the playstyle would be based around DOT poison that hinders opponents. Have it synergise with mons like Gengar could be fun too

Forretress might be a fun defender. Maybe do something fun with Spikes as a hazard setter, or Bug Bite for sustain.

i played this build for a month. *one key thing i want point out that* :
your numbers will look so good at the end screen, but you will feel you didn't contribute much in the game
you can't deal death blows, can't stun opponents. i was always dissatisfied playing this build even if my damage numbers were the highest

Qwilfish could be made into a Defender that prevents damage by having enemies second guess their approach, Poison Point inflicts enemies with damage over time when they deal damage to you.
However, As it needs time to rack up damage through poison you'd be vulnerable against multiple enemies and high burst damage, More of a quirky playstyle really.
the snorlax is a teammate i wish i could see more of, good comms, level headed and not too commanding, Also for the question of what defender i want to see, GIVE ME WOBBUFFET
Trevenant is OP. i went 21-3 other day. Pain split when vsing multiple enemies is a game changer
Chesnaught would be an insane defender with spiky shield and bulletproof
80k+ feels unreal, but it is true.
The almost 60k heal is also nothing to scoff at
Chesnaught could be a new defender. Idk maybe put the last of the kalos starters who is also know for being bulletproof.
I want Garbodor as a defender. He could have Weak Armour and drop little piles of debuff garbage when hes hit. Ursaluna would be the obvious choice for next defender though i think. Another good one would be Spiritomb.
It definitely should be politoad as a defender. I might just be wanting this because it is my favorite pokemon 😂. They should put a path evolution of some sort based off if there move they would pick before final evolution. For example, if you pick a certain move it will evolve to poliwrath, and the other moveset would lead to politoad. It would be a cool idea, but it might be too broken.
Ain’t no way you said torterra, it’s my fav mon so it’s definitely on the wish list for me!

Then, we will lose the possibility of a supporter eevee from the game. I mean, flareon or zolteon can't be a supporter. I wish they would have made sylveon as a supporter and then we could make vaporeon as a defender, zolteon as Speedster and flareon as all-rounder.
