Starcrawler is a really young band that throws it back. its funny tho...i see a lot of older people at their shows, some with their kids. kids are stupid with music these days. i cant really understand what causes it.

This was the only concert I was waiting for! The best female band ever kicking ass in Wacken 2023 and Im so happy I wasnt the band to follow up! Vixen ruled and truly conquered Wacken this year!

@@ontherunjgthat’s actually a guy that is playing the keyboard in the band. . He actually is really good and blend the songs well for the band when they play . When I first saw vixen the day in ct where I live I was like wow a dude in vixen but he knows his stuff playing the keyboard .

I saw Lorraine Lewis years ago at a real small club/hall in New Mexico Before Femme Fatale was signed. it's so good to still hear her sing and doing what she's so good at!

@@RasslinRelicsJanet Gardner was the original singer. Look up the songs Cryin, and Edge of a broken heart. Obviously watch the official videos. They were in their primes and gorgeous.. they still look great now but Janet I do miss performing with them. Just good to see these ladies still rocking though.
I saw Vixen a few years ago in a little concert hall in Wendover, Utah. They came with Slaughter. I was fully expecting Slaughter to just be the better band. Boy did these amazing ladies put me in my place. Not only were they absolutely amazing, they destroyed Slaughter in every way possible. Sound, vocals, stage presence, everything. Made me a life long fan after that show.
Vixen was the first all female rock group I watched in concert when they opened for Ozzy Osbourne in Irvine, CA. It was a great show specially Roxy Petrucci's drum solo. Their first 2 albums are my favorites.These days my favorite group is LOVEBITES. They are from Japan and perform all the songs in english. All the five musicians in the group are super talented. I anxiously wait for them to tour America hopefully next year. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
noone can touch lovebites but they must have bad mgmt to not be in the festivals i love them but they should be on iron maiden tour at least the best band in the world lovebites that noone has heard of
I was more on the softer side. I was a fan of the Donnas and now my new favourite is BAND-MAID, also from Japan. Neverless I saw Fate Gear last month and tomorrow it is Hanabie's turn in Frankfurt, but that is really hard stuff, both from Japan as well. Apropos LOVEBITES: played Wacken 2018 and grows on me.
I too love Lovebites, one of the currently best powermetal bands - and no one here in germany seems to know them !

Never saw the original lineup back in the day but am familiar with their singles/videos. This lineup sounds really good, the guitarist and bass player are really killing it.
Awesome Vocals without any pitch correction (no TC Helicon, no Antares/Tascam Autotune)! All voice is natural. I'm Lovin' It!
This performance sounds great. I am willing to bet in was recorded in Pro Tools, fixed and mixed in the studio. And I hate to say this --- pitch correction applied.
@@ajfedzit’s broadcast live mate…. recorded in hard disk arrays not DAW. I heard a ton of mistakes and pitchy vocals. Live albums generally only use the drums, but on this occasion you are wrong to suggest the performance has been altered…

@@thomasanderson9202 You got that wrong the drummer is the original member presence here at this concert. The singer i think is from another hair metal band back in the 80s i think. The two younger ladies the bass and guitar player i really don't know but i think if i'm correct the girl playing the lead guitar is the lead guitarist for Alice cooper. Its Vixen so what if not all original members are not in the band. They sound good and they stick with the original sound all it matters. Not all original members can't be there maybe because they have family, health issues or they have other careers to tend to that's outside the music business. As you know the original lead guitarist passed away awhile back so their are only three of them left and the drummer is still kicking ass on the drums till this day and holding the band together. They are all in their 60s already what do you expect and still kicking it live!
The band has gone through a lot of changes since the beginning but all the ladies have been very talented and the songs classics that will never die. Seen numerous shows since the 80's and plan to see numerous shows in the future. Keep rocking ladies!

I am Japanese. In a Japanese program, SHOW-YA introduced vixen as a female band that had an impact on me. I was also shocked when I learned about vixen through that. Since then, I have loved vixen. It is sad to see that there is only one original member left. The vocalist is the singer of Femme Fatale, right?

Saw the original lineup back around 1983 when they played a college dance. I had no idea they would get famous but I’m glad they did.

Saw Vixen in 1992 and they were excellent. It's hard to reconcile this band as Vixen, but they still sound good. My favourite female band these days (and possibly my favourite band of all) is Lovebites, from Japan, playing European-style metal with English lyrics. Anyone here who hasn't heard of them should check them out.
Don't forget Band-Maid. Went looking for some decent new hard rock/metal....and it's the ladies in Japan leading the way.

I grew up listening to the ORIGINAL Vixen line up of Roxy, Janet, Sher, and Jan. Loved em! This is really just Roxy with some new friends. BUT, that lead guitar player is an absolute power house!! Excellent playing!

That lead guitar player is Share, the bass player of the original line-up. ;)

Only just found this after watching "Red", how awesome to see Vixen back on the stage and in HD. I love how Wacken always create these amazing videos, they are a credit to the industry and these recordings help keep rock and metal alive. As for Vixen's performance... well, I mean... just brilliant. No tapes, all live and I was bracing myself for the "When It's Over" high note but sensibly handed out to the crowd... :) Lorraine's voice still sounds properly crisp and is a testament to a strong work/health ethic. Long may it continue... P.S. Definitely easier on the eye than watching Bon Jovi. Lol!
