If u don’t want Rodgers to defend himself don’t criticize him
Always excuses when it comes to this guy year after year, "if if if if if if if" that's all I hear. People forget earlier in his career he had good receivers and was still losing just the same.
@@itshiho What good receivers? Jennings? He was trash with anyone else throwing to him when he left. And he wasn't "losing" when he had those guys - he won the super bowl.

The biggest takeaway from Pat's show should have been...
Aaron Rodgers completely dominated his 7th grade spelling competition.
And he lost in 6th grade because of the word pneumonia. But still, it is what it is.
Everyone needs to understand that Arron Rogers does an interview with Pat Mcafee every Tuesday... they are all on CZcams and you will only get the full context if you watch them in their entirety
max said it was defensive but he was just chilling with his friends talking about stuff
Leave it to Max to make an Aaron Rodgers segment about Mahomes
Give Mahomes Rodger's weapons and he's a bottom 15 quarterback. Rodgers is on a whole different level
Game of Stones Mahomes is simply Rodgers with better weapons, need to see him do it with less talent around him to say he is as talented as Aaron Rodgers
Leave it to Max to make any conversation about Mahomes. The guy never shuts up about him. I still think Rodgers is better than Mahomes, even on Mahomes' best day
Mahomes is a stud, absolutely. He's the face of the league as it stands and he absolutely should be. I say this as a diehard Packers fan. But there wasn't any reason to bring him up in this debate. I'm sure Mahomes would agree.

I’m an eagles fan but my favorite player off my own team for the past 10 years has always been Aaron Rodgers, dudes a straight assassin and one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play id put him top 5 at least
I’ve said this over the last 7 years man. His defense is his offense and have always had to our score opponents when the defense couldn’t help the team out in getting stops.
I don’t blame Rodgers or Russ for promoting themselves. They’re both better than Mahomes! The hype surrounding Mahomes and Jackson is nauseating, and somewhat undeserved.
Yes, they were arguably deserving of their MVP’s (Jackson more than Mahomes), but when you begin to dissect Mahomes’s best year (2018) and compare it to Brees’s 2018 and Russ’s 2018, and control for certain statistics (like pass attempts), Mahomes isn’t killing the league.
*COMPARE ROOKIE AND 2017 YEARS*
In a side-by-side comparison with Russ, what can Mahomes hang his hat on? He sat the bench behind Alex Smith as a rookie in 2017.
Russ started as a true rookie and nearly led his team, which had gone 7-9 each of the two prior seasons (part of a four-year, 24-42 record) to the NFC Championship game, and a possible Super Bowl, that year.
In Russ’s actual 2017, he broke Tom Brady’s NFL record for total offense, accounting for nearly 90% of the Seahawks’ offense. FK Blair Walsh torpedoed what would have been a 13-3 record into a 9-7 record by missing 4 in-range, game-winning FGA’s. In either case, Mahomes loses.
*COMPARE 2018 AND SECOND YEARS*
I know for a fact that the only difference between Mahomes and Russ in 2018 was 11 pass attempts per game. Control for that disparity in pass attempts, and three of Russ’s volume metrics (Yards, TD’s and INT’s) change.
Russ’s 2018 stats: 427 Attempts (26 A/G), *3,448* Yards, *35* TD’s, 12.2 TD’s per Attempt, *7* INT’s, 66.5% Complete%, and a 111+ Passer Rating.
With the additional 11 attempts?
Russ has *4,803* Yards, *49.432* TD’s, *9.8* INT’s, 66.5% Complete%, and a 111+ Passer Rating.
Mahomes’s stat-line: 593 Attempts, 5,093 Yards, 50 TD’s, 12 INT’s, 66.0% Complete%, and a 113 Passer Rating.
If you want the actual calculations I can provide them to you.
Understand what this is telling you. For the number of attempts Russ took, he was every bit as productive and efficient as Mahomes, and he did it with a run-first offense, a porous O-Line, an injured Doug Baldwin, and no DK Metcalf!
Mind you, Russ also schooled Mahomes in a prime-time head-to-head battle - one of four prime-time losses Mahomes suffered in 2018.
So Mahomes’s 2018 MVP year is statistically neutralized by Russ’s performance from that same year, which was completely overlooked because the voters can’t do simple algebra!
Let me remind you that Mahomes walked into a team that had a combined 42-24 record over the prior four years (the exact opposite of Russ’s situation, noted above), and was a Super Bowl contender, taking over for a consensus top-100 player in Alex Smith.
Russ in his own second year led his team to the Super Bowl. People love to credit the LoB and Marshawn Lynch and day that Russ didn’t have to do much.
THATS A LIE!!!
Russ had taken over a team that had twice gone 7-9 with the LoB and a Lynch before he was drafted, and in one of those years, former a Super a Bowl and Pro Bowl QB Matt Hasslebeck was under center.
So this notion that Russ was just along for the ride is ridiculous. Go back and review his performances. He was a game-manager for all of about three games early in his rookie year, and that was by design.
In his first two years he broke Peyton Manning’s rookie TD record, and did it with about 50 fewer pass attempts, and led the league in game-winning drives. He also remained undefeated vs. Super Bowl winning QB’s Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Rothlisberger, and both Manning Brothers, all of whom were in their primes or at least at the top of their games back then.
*COMPARE 2019’s AND THEIR YEAR-3’s*
He won a Super Bowl!
Mahomes sat out for at least two games after struggling against the Colts, who seemed to have found the combination to neutralizing him.
He led his team to the Super Bowl, where he played like garbage for three quarters until waking up in the 4th Brady-style...or Russ-style! 👏🏾
Good for him.
Russ, who has still never missed a single game or start in his entire career, flat outplayed Mahomes on the season.
Russ remained the MVP favorite until late season, when Lamar Jackson began stringing together ridiculous performances against the Patriots, Rams and 49ers.
Russ put together another ridiculously efficient season, and came within a heartbeat of making the NFC title game. His O-Line was still not improved, and in fact ranked as low as #30 in some estimates.
Russ’s actual year-3 was epic for a number of reasons. First, he extended his record vs. Super Bowl winning QB’s to 10-0, and it would have gone to 11-0 if not for one play!
That season, Russ began divorce proceedings against his unfaithful wife, fought through a locker room in discord - including a cancerous Percy Harvin, who had to be shipped out, and inched his way towards becoming the second-highest rated passer in NFL history (behind Aaron Rodgers).
Russ remains in the #2 spot to this day. He also had more game-winning drives over his first three years, and in his third year, than any other active QB at the time.
As if that weren’t enough, he rushed for 849 yards, becoming the first QB since Michael Vick to pass for 2,700 yards and rush for 500+ yards.
Despite the locker room and off-the-field turmoil, Russ led the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl, and outplayed Tom Brady during the game only to have a certain win snatched from him and his entire team by an incompetent Offensive Coordinator and a weak receiver who failed to catch a perfectly thrown pass!
Everyone knows that, if the Seahawks simply hand the ball to Beast Mode, or let Russ throw to the back corners of the end zone, the Seahawks nail their second consecutive Super Bowl.
How would that have changed history? Would Richard Sherman and ET have become bitter and toxic locker room presences?
Would Kam Chancellor and Michael Bennett have tried to hold out at the beginning of the 2015 season, which put Russ behind Cam Newton in the MVP race? Would Beast Mode have faked an injury, sat out, and then come back rusty at the end of 2015-16, only to fake-retire his way out of Seattle? He had some years left in him.
How many more Super Bowl appearances might the Seahawks have racked up before Mahomes even got into the league? My guess is potentially four!
Again, context matters. Russ accomplished all of his feats with a team that relied on an overrated defense prone to late-game letdowns, a poor-to-below-average O-Line at best, an unstable RB position and mostly average receivers.
It’s hilarious how in that same interview Aaron was talking about how the media looks too deeply into quotes and makes things out of nothing, and here max is claiming that this quote shows Aaron’s trying to be overly defensive about his play.
