Wet Molding A Leather Credit Card Wallet
Wet molding is a super fun way to work with leather - and you don't need to make a mold! We use found materials to wet mold a leather wallet which holds 20 credit cards. We used Vegetable Tanned Leather from Hermann Oak tannery, as well as simple hand tools from our sponsor Weaver Leather to create a beautiful DIY Credit Card wallet from wet molded leather. Enjoy! - Jak na to + styl
It is so refreshing to find a channel that i can watch a craftsman work and hear the sounds he makes without annoying elevator music.

Amen to that.
Yes! That's why I also like Little King Goods
You are the real deal when it come's to hand made leather crafting . NO talk just get it done
Some while ago, the BBC had a series of programmes on craftspeople at work; no commentary, no music, just the sounds of the craft... this had the same quiet, soothing, hypnotic quality. Thank you for a lovely piece - both the vid & the wallet. Wonderful!
Hypnotic?
You make that look so easy, which indicates a hidden investment of many years to get good enough to make extraordinary craftsmanship appear so ordinary.
I've only recently discovered your channel and I love it. Craftsmanship and silence. It reminds me a lot of the Ishitani Furniture channel.
It really inspires me to give leatherwork a try.
that's one of my favorite channels too
When I grow up I want to be just like this person. You are insanely gifted and patient, may god always bless your skills and hands.
I love the wood thread spool for tracing corners☺
Turning raw material into a thing of beauty.... magnificent...
Outstanding,no music to hinder your skills .Thank you👍
It must be therapy but I love watching your videos.. My favorite tools are the edger and the hand held little wooden thingy that you use to smooth the edges. You didn't use it but I look forward to see you do! Oh one more thing to be a good leather craftsman you HAVE to have a steady hand !!
A work of art. It's so beautiful, what a precious thing to have.
That is so beautiful. And I love the quietude.
This is just a handy skill for a multitude of designs, I see cosplay utility belts through to pouches for tradesmen.
Nice!!
The camera angles and editing are on a scale that I don't see often. Great work and lots of content. I say this may well be a perfect video. Thank you for all your effort ❤️
I cannot understood why some people pressing the dislike button. It was so great to share this with us
There is something so relaxing about watching you go about your work, to create a functional and attractive object. Thanks
The only problem I've had with these is when I put the snap there it groves into the cards below it. So I started making under strap closures.
Love the simple no nonsense approach to your hand stitching.
No words, what a pleasure, very often images speak by themselves!
you did it again. beautiful.

Beautiful.
I'm going to use this for my business cards.
Been working with leather for a long time, love your videos because there is always something new to see + learn. For sure want to try this molded technique, curious what temperature was the water?
just normal tap water - temp doesn't matter much you just don't want it too hot because hot water will shrink leather. that being said if you're looking to make leather armor you want to use hot water or boil your piece to harden it!
This is zen as fuck.
Love your work. So inspiring. Moore videos please.
Amazing like Louis Vuitton
Exelente trabajo. Me gusta lo que haces amigo.

Very nice product ,I do wet molding as well ,however it always amazes me how much leather some folks waste with their projects,
Might be something you want to work on .
I'm intrigued that you guys trim to finished size at the beginning of your project before sewing. I always leave it to almost the last thing. Is there a reason you do that which I am missing? Perhaps it's a confidence thing. I always like to leave margins for error in case my sewing goes awry, my measuring is off, or any number of other things goes wrong. Also I don't like measuring , so I offer things up to their partner for size, then trim at the end so they are identical before burnishing.
I've always kept very trim borders while I work so that I can use wing dividers to mark an even stitch line that is parallel to the edge of the work - but there are many ways to do all of it, that's the beauty of leatherwork! I'm sure your way works great too :)
Very nice.
Hi! I really liked the video. Thank you! Can you please get me which leather it was? Was it cow TC?
What a fantastic tutorial...and quite meditative with just the sounds of the work. 2 questions:
1. What brand/kind of glue or cement are you using and what kind of container are you storing it in? Every thing I’ve tried as an airtight glue pot - even the traditional one from Italy - allows the glue to harden.
2. What are you using to burnish the edges? Sandpaper and water?
I’ve been working with a combo veg/chrome tanned leather for a few years now and hoping this method will work for that. Like you say, it’ll just depend on how much water the hide will absorb.
Many thanks for any additional tips you can share!

Well i subscribed. Gonna try to make me one tonight cheers
HOLA TE ESCRIBO DESDE CHILE,,,,ME PUEDES DECIR QUE ES LO QUE LE PONES DESPUES DE PULIR PARA QUE QUEDE SELLADO EN LOS BORDES ?
What kind of leather and the thickness
Luv it
Every video nice! I will learn))
lovely sir
They make awesome gift card pouches
Love this. I wonder if it would spoil the craftsmanship if one used metal/aluminum foil as protection against shady-types scanning cards?
