    I don’t know if this story is the same circumcision that this video talked about but long time ago I read this story and it really stuck in my head, it’s about a girl that undergo circumcision when she was young because of her parents belief and that actually made her genital hurts really bad during sex (almost not able to have sex) and when she confronted her parents she kinda found out its been done to every girl in her village to purposely make girls not able to enjoy sex so they’ll be loyal to the husband. And the one who demand the girls to get circumcised are usually the man of the family. What a story, I hope they’ll make this illegal worldwide soon.

      FGM effects childbirth a lot! There have been cases where the "cutter" actually sews up INSIDE the vaginal canal so that the "man is really getting a virgin." Because it causes the tissue to grown together, there's no elasticity ( this is true in ALL Type 3 cases) so there is much tearing, babies can get stuck ( both mother and child die), tearing can cause a hole (fistula) between either /or bladder or bowel so there is constant leakage of waste, in many cases, the women, if surviving (!) get SEWN UP AGAIN so that when they heal, the husband ......( you can figure this out) To sum, FGM IS BAD. Please look up FGM in Somalia to begin with because it's the most prevalent country - 98% of all females have been "cut"

    • @fritnat
      @fritnat Před 27 dny

      You hate it because it is so unpleasant for you to be confronted with the objective lens of your own culture's cutting practice. Its perhaps understandable if a Singaporean with the gender inclusive practice meant female circumcision is not damaging as its only a pin prick but how can you possibly think ritual penectomy is not damaging?? How does a pinprick preventy women from having x? Since you believe cutting parts off helps with hygiene why would you think its any different for girls, doesn't it save them from cleaning any parts amputated? Well the Australian High Court has also judged a pinprick to the vul.. to be a mutilation however how can you explain that ritual penectomy is not? Why couldn't woolsheepthree and hawwaeve4421's daughters, in the other comments, not be able to walk away the same? They both say it is only a pinprick and hawwaeve4421 says her daughters didn't even cry. Ritual penectomy has been called mutilation since ancient times, even by those practicing it.

      2) MGM, like FGM, is morally wrong because of consent. You have helpless, defenseless children who are forced to trust their parents, and then their parents permanently mutilate their bodies without consent.
      If an adult consents to having their anatomy changed in anyway, they have the right to do so as it is their body. But because it is being performed on non-consenting children, it’s wrong.

      FGM can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
      The risks out weigh the benefits if there is any. What negative effect happened to male who are circumcised?
      The benefits out way the risk in male circumcision. The reason it should be band doesn’t have much to do with consent. There are procedures where a male may need to be circumcised which is also why it’s wouldn’t be considered mutilation. When would a women ever need to have her clit removed?
      Mutilation
      1. an act or instance of destroying, removing, or severely damaging a limb or other body part of a person or animal.

      Circumcision for boys is mostly encouraged because by removing the foreskin, it prevents genital diseases that coming from the accumulation of microorganisms beneath it.
      But, questions arise on the legitimacy of the effect of girls circumcision that cut either partly or the entirety of clitoris.

    What sickens me is that the parents are celebrating the fact that their daughter gas been brutalised and butchered and slaughtered,theyre so blinded by tradition that they will never understand that what just happened to their daughter is going to affect her for the rest of her life,causing period trouble,marriage consummation trouble,childbirth trouble,marriage trouble,ptsd,flashbacks and sometimes death

    It is definitely practised in Singapore. Saw a post on Facebook Mummies support group and someone posted about this issue. A few Muslim mummies got triggered and said there is absolutely nothing wrong and it had been either done to them and now they are doing it to their own daughters. Shaking my head.

    Barbaric. If religious, then that religion is not deserving of respect. You don't respect every religion especially those violating human rights and female rights and killings.
