Hey Phillip, long Time Lucy Thomas follower, but I have never heard of you but welcome to the Lucy Thomas train of Music. Lucy was 16 here when she sang this song she is 20 now, many of my fellow Lucy followers have mentioned other songs and some of her history, I'll not repeat, but I am an old man who had given up on modern "music" as pure crap and then I discovered Lucy and she restored my faith that people can still sing without all the vocal and set gymnastics to detract from their lack of ability. Lucy has about 70 songs recorded, many covers where she has crushed he originals and a bunch of originals written for her by Chris Broom of Cavendish records, in England, yes she is British, and she has about 9 songs recorded with her 5 year 8 month younger sister Martha, who was 14 last nov 4 2023, Martha started recording with Lucy at 10 years old. Lucys recent songs, recorded at her first Public concert in Manchester opened with SOMEWHERE, and closed with an original from her musical ROSIE, WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD, she encored with Hallelujah for her 17th song.Suggest you try those 2 songs !! as well as a couple with Martha and Lucy, PIE JESU, MARY DID YOU KNOW and THE PRAYER and see what a 12 to 14 year old girl can do with her older sister. ooohh yeah.... Where to go from here?? She just had her first live public concert last month in UK & has released 2 songs so far from that event - "We can change the world" & "Somewhere" - or you could check out one of her classic covers "Bridge over troubled water", "Evergreen" or "Whiter shade of pale". Lucy is the best singer I have heard since I first heard Linda Ronstadt in 1967. This as others have said is almost 4 years old and she gets better each time try Evergreen or Bridge Over Troubled Waters or Pie Jesu some of her latest songs. Her duets with her sister Marha are quite epic as well.

This was almost 4 years ago. Just you wait, Lucy is just about to bloom. Young talent like his need time, patience and maturity to handle sudden fame. There are countless 'Murican examples where young talent has ended in disaster - Michael Jackson being one disastrous example. Then there are cases like Lucy and Martha Thomas - and Norwegian Angelina Jordan, child talents that are NOT bartered away, talents that are deliberately allowed to have a normal childhood, with normal friends. By the time they cannot avoid fame any longer, they are already stable and confident youngsters, with a fairly good chance of breezing through all the adolation.

The last one was Karen Carpenter... widely considered the best female voice in the 20th century. NO autotune, no voice manipulation during her day. Good reaction Philip. If you watch more of Lucy you will discover how good she is at keeping songs soft and gentle, before hitting you with the power that you are almost begging her to deliver. Her ability to stretch and hold notes, before adding vibrato at the end of the note, is second to none. All by Myself and Run to You are just two that exhibit her skills. Oh and she does a really great cover of the Aerosmith song I Don’t want to Miss a Thing and a great cover of Etta James’ At Last, that shows her ability to cover different genres.

Both sister have a duet call the "Climb" and more song such as the "Prayer" also the "Pie Jesu" there melodies of voices are sublime beautiful tones of voices. I see that many of Lucy's supporters have provided you with plenty of background about Lucy so I wont repeat that in my comments however can I say that Lucy is a very special talent in that her choice of material always seems to lift one through her warmth and sincerity and her ability to make you believe in the message of the song. The amazing thing is that when you view Lucy in live performances all of that is even stronger than in her numerous videos. In my view the very best vocalist in the world today.
Welcome to the world of Lucy Thomas. You will be captivated by the beauty of Lucy and more importantly the sound of her voice and breath control in extended phrases and notes. I suggest sampling her covers at all ages, from 10 to 20 years of age. Also notable is the variety of styles, from country, jazz, rock and theatre. She also sings with her 5+ years younger sister where the harmonies are just spectacular. You are in for a treat. By the way Hallelujah was used in the ending scenes of the movie "A Wing and a Prayer". It is hard to suggest one of her songs because so many are beautiful, but maybe try "A Brand New Day" or "Evergreen" (spectacular breath control). Philip, Nice to see your appreciation of Lucy Thomas. My first viewing of Lucy was "Memory" (Cats), then this one. Lucy is master class in the use of vibrato. I'm disappointed you didn't mention it. On all 3 verses that beautiful, even, symmetrical vibrato trails off to the next verse. Also, notice that after really kicking it in the 3rd verse she brought that power back down to a beautiful final phrase; which she does a lot. Take a look at Memory. MORE, Philip, welcome to the club of reactors who say "WOW!" on hearing Lucy. Not only that, you were smiling, closing eyes etc. almost all the way through. At the end you smiled more, said WOW again and even brought your hand to your chest (which to me says this performance really affected you). I am a staunch fan of Lucy. (Just FYI, I was born and raised in The San Fernando Valley and began taking music lessons beginning in 1950).

I agree with previous comments as you get a lot of so called Cabot sing but are famous while she who can sing perfectly should be worldwide famous. Maybe showing her singing abilities on line will help as she can reaches millions.
Funny thing...she has a horrible and pronounced British accent when she speaks conversationally. Don't get me wrong she is an amazing and talented singer, she is beautiful, and she seems to be a genuinely sweet girl and kind person. I wish her nothing but the best.

Good reaction Philip. If you watch more of Lucy you will discover how good she is at keeping songs soft and gentle, before hitting you with the power that you are almost begging her to deliver. Her ability to stretch and hold notes, before adding vibrato at the end of the note, is second to none. All by Myself and Run to You are just two that exhibit her skills. Oh and she does a really great cover of the Aerosmith song I Don’t want to Miss a Thing and a great cover of Etta James’ At Last, that shows her ability to cover different genres.

Lucy Thomas the "best" vocalist voices female new artist today. Both sister have a duet call the "Climb" and more song such as the "Prayer" also the "Pie Jesu" there melodies of voices are sublime beautiful tones of voices. There are other cover song can check out like the "Whiter Shades of Pale" any type of classical song makes her own you'll be blown away what her abilities able can do.

I see that many of Lucy's supporters have provided you with plenty of background about Lucy so I wont repeat that in my comments however can I say that Lucy is a very special talent in that her choice of material always seems to lift one through her warmth and sincerity and her ability to make you believe in the message of the song. The amazing thing is that when you view Lucy in live performances all of that is even stronger than in her numerous videos. In my view the very best vocalist in the world today.
Welcome to the world of Lucy Thomas. You will be captivated by the beauty of Lucy and more importantly the sound of her voice and breath control in extended phrases and notes. I suggest sampling her covers at all ages, from 10 to 20 years of age. Also notable is the variety of styles, from country, jazz, rock and theatre. She also sings with her 5+ years younger sister where the harmonies are just spectacular. You are in for a treat. By the way Hallelujah was used in the ending scenes of the movie "A Wing and a Prayer". It is hard to suggest one of her songs because so many are beautiful, but maybe try "A Brand New Day" or "Evergreen" (spectacular breath control). She has just done her first full-fledged live concert so you may try "You Can Change the World" from the upcoming musical "Rosie" (located on the "Rosie - The Musical" CZcams page).

I want to visit the UK and hear this angel in person. She is 20 years old now and I have followed her since age 11 when she appeared on the Voice kids. If you listen to her on CZcams her family members accompany her. her singing 'pie jesu' is phenomenal. i'm 70 but if I were her age I would ask her for a date...lol
Philip, Nice to see your appreciation of Lucy Thomas. My first viewing of Lucy was "Memory" (Cats), then this one. Lucy is master class in the use of vibrato. I'm disappointed you didn't mention it. On all 3 verses that beautiful, even, symmetrical vibrato trails off to the next verse. Also, notice that after really kicking it in the 3rd verse she brought that power back down to a beautiful final phrase; which she does a lot. Take a look at Memory. MORE, Philip, welcome to the club of reactors who say "WOW!" on hearing Lucy. Not only that, you were smiling, closing eyes etc. almost all the way through. At the end you smiled more, said WOW again and even brought your hand to your chest (which to me says this performance really affected you). I am a staunch fan of Lucy. (Just FYI, I was born and raised in The San Fernando Valley and began taking music lessons beginning in 1950).

Funny thing...she has a horrible and pronounced British accent when she speaks conversationally. Don't get me wrong she is an amazing and talented singer, she is beautiful, and she seems to be a genuinely sweet girl and kind person. I wish her nothing but the best.
