@anwita • Thank you so much for sharing this. Abigail came up with so many suggestions that I could never remember them all. This list will help so I've copied it into my notes app. 😊
@Abigail • For me, the most wonderful aspect of your materials and tools is the way you're willing to embrace bulk. Bulk is something I've always shied away from but seeing the opportunity you've taken to experiment with everyday materials, I'm inspired to give it a try. The pompoms & sheep really caught my eye.
Also, thank you for taking the time to include examples of each of your suggestions. The visuals are so much more helpful for stimulating my imagination than the mere words "you could use them" or "you could do this or that with them."
I realize this must have taken you a lot of preparation time and I want you to know how much I appreciate the time & effort you put into this video. 👍
Awe thank you for your kind comment! I LOVE a maximalist look in all of my art journals, and am glad that I inspired you to try it out:) Good luck!!
Thanks for your great creative ideas!! I could definitely learn to use some of them.
I’ve got a few more to add to the list:
- Paper napkins.
- Decoupage/tissue paper.
- Corrugated cardboard that’s been partially peeled off.
- Clothing tags and labels.
- Used dried teabags.
- Packing tape.
- Cork.
- Small flat game pieces.
- Playing cards/ swap cards.
- Seashells/ sand.
- Old maps.
- Netting / tule.
- Paint sample cards.
- Punched out or die cut shapes.
- Spray ink/ paint.
LOVE these suggestions- thanks!!

Wait! There are books that give you the prompts??? Where, please...🤩
😀❤️👍
How do you come up with your drawing ideas?? I love them my favorite is the CTB when you made the house that opens
Thank you!! I use Pinterest as inspo a lot of the time, or just have random ideas floating around in my head haha
💛💚💙
woah
WOW! What do you use for journals?❤😊
These are all journals that were purchased with prompts already in them!
I have all these stuff but first I need to learn how to draw😅
There are so many options that don't involve drawing!! You got this:)
You listed the supplies you use to art journal which is very helpful, but can you take some time to explain where you get your inspiration from? Is it all from your imagination or do you draw inspiration from the things around you and if you do..what are those things? Do you surf the internet for photos, watch other CZcamsrs, look at Pinterest? There are far too many videos of people who art journal and display their creations or do a “journal with me” kind of video where they show how they created a page but hardly anyone talks about where they get their ideas and for some people who have taken a massive creative detour in their lives and used to be super creative back in the day where things would flow from them and want to get back to that place..it would be helpful to know.
Hey! Thanks for the comment. I used to watch a lot of other art journal-type videos years back, but haven't in a while: I find that they inhibit some of my creative thoughts for the prompts. I typically flip through my book and choose a prompt that sparks interest in that moment, or choose one that I instantly have an idea for. I honestly just go with the first thought that comes into my head, and don't take much time to develop the idea. If I need a reference for a style of art that I want to create, or a photo to reference, I typically head to Pinterest for that! But in general, I just like to go with the flow for most of these art journals, and take it as an opportunity to try new things that randomly pop up in my head. Whether that ends up being successful is debatable, but I think that is the fun in these books:)
@@AbigailJuliann A wonderful reply! Thank you so much :)

Do U have a favorite journal that you prefer using?
I have an entire video comparing all of my art journals if you're interested up on my channel! In summary, though, they all have been great, and I have enjoyed completing all of them- all having different pros and cons. So not a super concrete answer:)
