Just got my first coaching job as the o line coach at my old high school. We’re running the wing t this year which I haven’t ran since I was a sophomore in high school. Your videos are awesome.

My high school ran this in the 90s to 2012 ish. Set the Arkansas state record for rushing yards in a season 5,879.

Awesome Offense!! Glad your bringing attention and detail to it. I coached it for 4 years in youth football. The first year from base or 32 ans aome 30and 31. Each consecutive year, I modified to pistol formation with QB and different back field formations i.e., base, bull, bear, wishbone, ans stack I. I used Severe Angle Blocking on play side and sometimes unbalanced line pulling over a tackle or rarely a Guard & Tackle to play side. You talking about a D scratching its head wondering what to do! Its ground and pound, but you can pass once you lull them to sleep with the run.

The Flexbone. It's army, navy, air force. I wish teams used this formation like the Houston Gamblers did in the USFL. Good stuff Coach thanks for giving me a another nugget to add to my playbook

The Flexbone that Army & Navy run is an entirely different animal. There is a little crossover on Belly and Counters, but they really aren't similar at all.

Double wing is very easy to teach and can be a headache for defensive coordinators, especially when you add overloads and false pulls/ wham blocks.

How would you run these formations up against a youth 6-2 defense? I had some problems with the pulling back side G &T and blocking assignments up front. Any info would be great thanks!

You have to secure the LOS.
Tackle down on the B gap, guard down on the A gap, center on backside A gap, fullback b gap, QB C gap defender chasing.
You also want to attack the perimeter which takes away the usefulness of the 6 down linemen.

A six man front would require the backside tight end to cut the linman inside who is in a 4 or a 5 technique. The center needs to block back to the first man outside the center, the front side guard has one on one the first man outside the center on the playside. The Tight end and tackle double the man on the frontside offensive tackle and the Fullback kicks the Dend frontside.

Jet sweep will get you outside fast. You can down block the playside wing or fold him inside through C gap and have the TE ride the DE out or deep, depending on how wide the DE is. Fullback goes backside DE.
