I still like the base game of Unleashed HD even though it has the crubbier final boss. Dark Gaia’s first phase can go die in the Earth’s core for all I care. I hated that mega laser.

Kind of funny how the less powerful versions of a Sonic game can do the final boss better.
Seriously, the Time Eater was so much better in the 3DS version of Sonic Generations compared to the HD version.

You know, What often makes a countdown for me is the opening portion. And while I've not seen Silver's work so far, this is the first time where I've had to pause the video and breathe 'cause his voicework is so ... honestly I lack the words to describe it! Simply put I've so far enjoyed his presence in the span of a minute and I'll have to stop by his channel to see more of his work. And the editing was as much of a joy that amplifies the humor visually along side the audio.

Considering what Silver Keyblade said about Silver in Generations being a good clone of the Nega Wisp Armor... I hadn't really thought about that.
I think one of the reasons Silver in Generations is a good clone of the Nega Wisp Armor is because it's not as blatant.
I'm so glad the Metal Madness/Overlord boss fight got the credit it deserved! Also its concept discussion is the funniest thing I've seen in a while XD

Surprised you chose Egg Golem over Biolizard. Oh well, still a good choice. And it IS your list.
Le Dapper Greninja While I like the Biolizard fight, the Dreamcast version could get kinda bullshit at times with the two pits and the sheer constant projectiles from the boss itself can get overwhelming.
I was more surprised sonic vs shadow round 2 didn't make it
Biolizard's problem is honestly the glitchiness of the fight, for some reason, your attacks can fail to hit, and for some reason no one can figure out why

This video left me with such a smile on my face that a like couldn't be avoided. The humor was outstanding here and the countdown was a joy as always. Didn't watch it on Christmas Eve because I was gone all day at a NFL FOOTBALL GAME (my team lost D':) but this was a great Christmas present for me. Merry Christmas you two, and God Bless!

I was confused when I saw dark Gaia, having played the PS3 version and all, but yeah, the Wii and ps2 versions seem, a lot better

5 Reasons why sonic unleashed HD boss Is better than the underpowered version
1. Big hub to attack
2. Dark gaia isn’t the size of the screen
3. Super sonic is more fast
4. the the graphics are more fun to look at
5. The shield Makes the HD version more playable

As much as this video was made a year ago, it shows how...underrated Sonic Rider: Zero Gravity actually *IS*. The ABIS fight is actually one of my favorite boss fights, especially for someone that hasn't played many Sonic titles, as it was the game that made me love the Sonic Riders series (except Free Riders, that piece of sh*t can die in a god damn fire.). Seriously, to this day I love the humor here as well as the most recent video of Maverick's for the Top Ten Worst Sonic Bosses. Seriously, one of my favorite lists from you, Maverick.

This got me thinking of the final boss in Sonic 3&Knuckles. It was a pretty tense gauntlet made even more memorable by the Doomsday Zone. Perhaps it may be dated, but that epic theme gets me pumped even to this day.

Rewatching the Metal Sonic segment, it actually makes me really miss the original Metal Sonic fight in Mania.
it's been HOW many times that I've rewatched this and I JUST NOTICED that the summoning spell in the beginning is the same one I came up with for that one tri-op commentary, I have to eliminate your entire bloodline now

The Music is Shadow the Hedgehog is not forgettable, not gonna lie, getting tired of hearing that criticism when I feel it's not exactly true. Sure, not every track hits home, but they're mostly all great, like Cosmic Fall, G.U.N. Fortress, Digital Circuit, the list goes on.
Also, while on the topic of unpopular opinions that will get me flamed, Sonic Mania is just "Okay".
ALSO, completely disagree with the Metal Sonic fight in Mania. It's cool for the first 2 minutes, but then it GREATLY overstays its welcome imo.

I haven’t been enjoying Mania as much as other Sonic titles.
If it A) Had an actual plot instead of just a setup and characters with no personalities, B) All original Zones and C) Maybe included characters like Classic Amy or hell, maybe Shadow, I would've called it the best Sonic game in a while.
But I'm also not a huge fan of 2D Sonic, so it might just be me as well

Character battles in sonic, the ones where you fight a fellow anthropomorphic animal rather than a giant monster or a machine, have always had a pretty bad rep. Most of them are pathetically easy, some of them are flat out annoying, and all of them tend to have way overused meme-able voice clips like "Oh no", " It's no use" and my personal favorite, "I'm the coolest". But all that really helps the occasional good ones shine more. Sonic Generations especially nailed this with its Shadow and Silver boss fights which remain my favorite character battles to this day

I think that special mentions should go to the Act 2 Marble Garden Zone Boss on Tales' path. First of all, it's one of the few fights in the game that you can't cheese by constantly bouncing on the enemy and collecting your rings again. If you lose rings, you aren't getting them back so you have a max of 3 hits making it pretty difficult. You also have to fly into Eggman with your Tales, making you have to attack from the bottom since the left and right are rigged with drills and fire respectively, making it a challenging and fair fight.
I heard Engage the Enemy is the background a few times.
i didn't have the regular metal sonic fight from mania because i got mania plus and had my second phase be a phantom ruby powered giant metal sonic chasing me launching bombs and lasers.

Yo, why does everyone hate demon characters in sonic games? Just because Sonic is colorful and cute doesn't mean everything and every environment has to be too. You really going to tell me that Dark Gaia is not one of the most badass looking characters in the franchise's history?!...
The SA2B egg golem was my least favourite boss, there is a glitch that would make sonic homing attack when you only press jump once. It made the battle so long and by the end of it u never want to have to deal with the thing again.
Fun fact, the olympic games are all Sonic games with Mario models imported
