Sorry, I tried to explain well! Basically he uses his left arm so much he obsesses over it. He wants that arm to be active and searching for things to hold or mess with constantly. So much that sometimes it keeps him awake, trying to use that arm. (For a typical kid, think of it as taking their toys away at bed time. Once you take the toy away their brain knows it’s not an option to play with anymore so they eventually go to sleep). It’s the same with his arm. Once he knows he can’t use that arm to get to anything it allows his brain to relax and actually fall asleep. I hope that helps!

Oh my goodness!!! How he is progressing!!! His talking and rolling and smiling. If this is what distress looks like, then more people need to b distressed lol. Anyone can see that he is coming more into his own. I believe his p/t is really helping him. Sebastian puts a smile on my face every time I see him. What an absolute joy he is! 💙
I hear happiness! I've noticed a huge change in Sebastian, since he had his surgery, he uses his voice more, he rolls over more and his smile lights up his whole face. I appreciate learning more about Sebastian's syndrome. Sebastian, seems to be a happy little boy and you and Gio are wonderful loving parents. Thank-you for sharing Sebastian with us.
Love hearing Sebastián chatting and singing. And I agree with everyone. He is definitely not in distress. He is getting soooooo strong. It is wonderful watching his progress ❤️❤️❤️
You are to be applauded and praised. Your maturity and attitude is profound. You are not a victim, but a very blessed mommy. When my children were babies,, I don't know how many times I have said, "Oh I wish my babies could stay this small for years." I think of Sebastián as just that. You get to have a small baby around for years. Sebastián is a gift. You, my dear, are a true example of a loving mother. I love you super mommy.
Hopefully him getting stronger thanks to physical therapy and heart surgery I hope he will find other ways to use his body and do things than just his left hand. To me he sounds 100% happy and playing, I don't understand how some think that's a distressed sound, people are so negative and think everyone not perfect is suffering and should not live, it feels like that at least hearing people like that.
I love hearing him talk his talk and sing. Doesn't sound like distress to me. I really loved watching him rolling on the floor. He is really having fun!! Love watching your videos and watching him.. It makes my day.
Thank you for posting again. Don't worry about how long your video's are. As long as you have the time, I can listen to you all day! You're so inspiring. Although, Sebastian is so special and makes me laugh out loud, have you ever thought that he was put here on earth to help YOU shine? I love watching and listening to you talk about Sebastian, but I also love listening to you, love watching you show us how to cook a dish, love the house tours and updates, just admire you very much. So, even though Sabastian is the miracle that brought all of us together, you are the true marvel. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your life with us.
My goodness if anyone knows Sebastian’s sounds it’s his mumma not a key board warrior. Seeing him completely rolling over looks like a determined little man to me . Stephanie you are a ray of sunshine. I’m sure others feel how I do and that is you are a wonderful mumma bear and thank you for sharing you life with us. Love and hugs from Sydney 🇦🇺 xo
Hi Stephanie and Sebastian. It's clear Sebastian's recovery from his surgery is coming along great, him talking and rolling around is proof of that. I laughed out loud seeing him rolling all over the living room. Happy heart here! 💙
When he gets his momentum going he is a "speed rolling boy". I'm so thankful that you will take three time to answer questions and educate your viewers on Sébastien and the life you all live. God bless you all
OMGOSH, what a wonderful service you are doing. I want to thank you for the shout out on your 1st video, I would never want to hurt your feeling or belittle that precious little boy in any way💖 Now that I know more about this syndrome and especially Sebastian’s diagnosis, he is even more remarkable than first thought and a huge testament to the excellent love and care he is given! Boy, he got a triple dose of issues to overcome. He is truly a light source and has come to do a huge job here of educating people to NOT judge by appearance’s and what can be accomplished with love and nurturing. You all are really amazing people and I’m so glad I found your most educating and endearing channel. Hugs, prayers and love to you and your family. 🤗💖👍🙏
Stephanie, bringing awareness to Sebastian's syndrome is awesome. He is a beautiful little boy who is loved beyond measure! I loved seeing him roll over and using his voice. He's looking so much stronger. You are an amazing Mom! You're a family of bright lights that shine on with strength and love. I have so much respect for you and Gio. Love and hugs from PA....
I hear no distress at all! It’s so nice to hear him talking again-his heart surgery has made him so healthy looking and more active. Just wondering if you ever have a chance to show him his own videos and see if he reacts to the sound of his own voice? Could be fun!
Awe Doll, you are such a sweet person and so obviously in love with your little boy. My only concern is how deeply affected you are by comments. I have watched all your videos for months and I think you mention comments almost every time, and always defend yourself, your baby boy and you mothering. I know I could not have a channel because I am too thin skinned to handle the trolls and nasty comments. I hope you eventually can get to a place to let it go, not be so affected by the opinions of uneducated, ignorant, unkind people. I hope you don't feel too badly too often cause you are an amazing person and momma. Sending love!
Believe it or not, I try to use the misunderstood or even “hateful” comments as a means to educate! Often times I like to bring them up because they’re stated in a way that is so out of left field, or just assumptions and I’d rather give people correct information lol. The real ugly comments we just bless block and release now, but the ones that aren’t as bad I like to just use as an opportunity to educate! Lol
The moment I saw Sebastian....my heart was lighter. I don't know what it is...he exudes this vibe. But Steph...you do that as well. Your little family unit is love, light and positivity. I would so love to come out there and meet you all for coffee....it would serve a double purpose as I have a cousin that lives in Carol Stream. God Bless!
One thing to remember that just adds to the "we don't know" aspect of answering these questions is that children can sometimes reassign areas of their brains to work around damaged areas. We see this in aphasia cases, for example. The brain eventually loses that flexibility so adults don't usually do that very well. So Sebastian might end up doing some of that or he might not. Depends on what resources are available in his particular brain. But in general, a variety of activities really is important for any developing child or adolescent. In adolescence, for example, our brains seem to be going through a "use it or lose it" phase, so it's really important to encourage your kids to try different things even when they find those things difficult mentally or physically. They don't have to be good at activity (or in a school subject) to benefit from just trying to do it anyway, at whatever level they can. So stimulating Sebastian in many different ways is not only a way to keep him busy and happy. Like any child, he needs that activity for his brain to develop however far that it can. Our knowledge of how things work is at a primitive level, though. So parents just have to trust their instincts. At the moment, he seems to be making up for lost time when his heart issues interfered. Enjoy!
Hi Stephanie! Aww Sebastian was so cute when he was rolling all around on the floor. I love how vocal he is! Your house is looking beautiful. I’m glad you have your closet now. It’s very nice and big! Thank you for taking the time to answer the questions about Sebastian and about CDLS. You’re doing such a wonderful job with him! I agree, he is a light in this world! I love you guys, sending all my love and hugs to you all. God bless you in Jesus’s Name 🤗❤️🙏🏻🥰💞
Thank you for answering all these questions about Sebastian! I thought you had answered the question about his brain before - thank you for answering it again. I think Sebastian and you are making a big difference. You bring joy to our lives by sharing your sweet little love bug with us and also bringing awareness to CDLS as well as brain and heart issues in little ones. I believe as you do, that this is your mission from God. He has given you the gifts to be a great ambassador for CDLS. God bless you all.
Sebastian is just so adorable all the way around. I look forward to seeing him all the time. Stephanie you are such a great mom. Thank you opening up your life and allowing us to get to know Sebastian. He puts a big smile on my face. He is such a beautiful little boy. Love and blessings to you all.
I just want to say thank you so much for sharing and for opening up about Sebastian and what he goes through and your family. Both of you are such wonderful awesome parents.
Congratulations on your house progress-your rooms are looking terrific. I love Sebastian's chattiness lately, as well as his activity levels-like his rolling. And his smiles! Regardless of the day I have, when I see Sebastian smiling big, I just feel joy wash over me, and I'm sure I'm not the only person to feel that way.
I just love this wonderful, adorable, sweet and funny little boy. It seems like he’s advancing with leaps and bounds lately. I’ve followed you guys for some time, so I’m familiar with Sebastian. The talking I just absolutely love. Since I “know” Sebastian, I know that those sounds aren’t distress. He’s just expressing himself. The rolling just killed me! He’s become quite the athlete! I’m happy to see you guys happy and settled and to see my favorite boy progressing so much. He sure looks tall these days too. ❤
You are an Angel on earth💚You have so much knowledge about Sebastian and are teaching us so much not only about CDLS but about accepting people just the way they are😘. His rolls are exceptional…learning how to get around💙So darn cute! Love that walk in closet and so organized. You are a doer!…and motivator😍Thanks tomorrow I will attack the linen closet😍Look forward in seeing more of you and Sebastian. Love to all and prayers🙏❤️🌻🦋🕊
I watch lil Freya and Sebastian and they both make me smile so much. When you post, it’s the first thing I watch! He’s grown so much, sleeping on his back like such a big boy. He just makes my heart happy and I thank you for sharing him with us! Thank you for sharing your lives with us! ❤
You know, every new post I watch I wonder to myself,” if that were me,could I cope as well as you do.” Your answer about it’s still your baby, says it all. There are no guarantees when we decide to have babies, but the one guarantee is we will love them. God gave me 4 healthy babies but were any of them not “perfect” I would still love them. Thanks Stephanie.
Watching Sebastian rolling around was a beautiful sight to see. I can just imagine how happy it makes your heart. Sebastian has the parents he was meant to have. You are doing awesome.
You handle these Q and As like a pro little momma! I am glad you shared Sebastian rolling, he sure seemed to be amusing himself! I subscribed to Freya's Lucky Arm, what a sweet momma she has. They are doing a great job with sharing her story. I hope both your channels grow...a lot!
I love watching Sebastian rolling and singing, he is such an adorable little guy ❤❤ You are an amazing Mama to Sebastian. Thank you for sharing him with all of us, it really blesses my soul ❤
Go Sebastian. You got your heart fixed and getting your strength back. Look how fast you can roll now. It’s wonderful he knew when he was at the end by the fireplace he had to roll the other way. When he’s talking while trying to get momentum to roll he’s motivating himself. Love to see his smile. ❤️🤗
I cared for a baby man in private care. We had a man sized crib and his feet were huge but shaped like the day he was born never touched the ground because of his disability. It didn't matter to him as long as he was safe and tended to and he was spoiled by his elderly parents so care experience and expectations were high in their home. I absolutely loved working for them. Strange thing was he passed a year before his mother passed. It was a worry she had he would out live them and she was afraid how it would change his care.
Wow!! Sebastian rolling around so much!! I just can't! Between recovery from surgery and his physical therapies and all the love and goodness he is just thriving!! And more talking! And I can't get enough of his little dino growls, so stinking cute!!!! Steph you look more refreshed every day I hope your feeling good 🥰 your home looks great too 😘 really coming along!
Sebastian was really having fun, rolling across the floor. Such a joy to watch and the sound of his little voice is so sweet. The thought of a meet and greet sounds like fun. I live in northwest Indiana and I don't think we are very far. Anyhow, you are a wonderful Mama! Thanks for sharing and God bless.
I've only been watching for a few months- from when he was in hospital last year. This has been the happiest I've seen him! Rolling around and talking in his own little way....
I so love your approach to Sebastian just being Sebastian!! I had a child with special needs (back in the80s) and you learn QUICKLY how to approach other people who do not know how to take a special needs child/person... it is a whole different world than the average baby!!! I love to see parents with a whole 100% hands on approach !!! I feel he is going to go A LONG WAY!! love your vlogs!!! I always thought the same way you do that these children are put here for a reason which we may never know but ENJOY EVERY MINUATE YOU CAN!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That noise is just him finding his voice...zero distress ❤and you touched this mom's heart saying you would be his caregiver no matter the age❤you are a rare gem!!! Priceless! You guys have definitely reached and touched this house in Atlanta...much love from here to you❤❤❤
Hi Stephanie I'm so glad you said that you don't compare Sébastien to other CDLS kids. When my daughter Nicole was young, I sometimes compared her to other kids. I don't anymore. My daughter is 36 now! You are SO right about the facial features. I saw a little boy at Walmart the other day and asked the mom if he has CDLS. She was amazed I knew that. I shared pictures of my beautiful daughter!! It was so nice! God bless!! ❤
Yes stephanie you're right about staring and I raise two boys Autistic one is no longer with us and my other son lives here with us. He's doing very very well. It's got a part time job again. Anyway I learned a long time ago when I see anything on anybody acting. Weird looking strange whatever the case may be if I glance cause. It's in my view after that I absolutely just look away cause. I know Steering is very impolite.
Stephanie, God is using you for His purpose in different ways…you are a wonderful servant of God and never feel like you don’t have a purpose. Your joy and kindness is evident. Thank you for sharing so much of your life and family with us. God bless you and keep you.❤
Sebastian is a cute, sweet little blessing from God. It is a blessing that you and Geo share him with us. I am sooooo glad that he is doing so well after his heart surgery. Love ❤️ and prayers from NC.
I never heard of CDLS until I found your site. I think with the information you have explained and your openness there are a lot of people that know more about what this syndrome is. But they also see what can happen and how a family can deal with a difficult situation and remain optimistic. Sebastian has a great set of parents which you can see when he's with either of you.
Another amazing Q&A video. Thank you so much for sharing so much of Sebastians' story. You are a world-class advocate for your son. You are also doing amazing things to help raise awareness of and advocate for children with special needs of many different kinds, just by talking about Sebastian. I'm sure it means a lot to the parents like, or maybe unlike, Sebastian. Sebastian is becoming quite the little gofer rolling himself round the floor. There's no stopping him. I have no doubts that he is just the happiest little boy. He smiles, he chatters, he engages. You've also told us that he cries even if you don't film it. I'm sure that if he were distressed, he would cry. And you would pick him up and comfort him as we have seen you do many times. I look forward to my regular fix of Stephanie, Sebastian and Gio. I would love to attend a meet and greet but I'm in the UK so I don't think that will be possible for me. But I would just love to cuddle Sebastian and kiss his little cheeks. How could anyone resist. ❤️👨👩👧🐕🦜❤️
I just love you and your amazing family. Sebastian, since his surgery is so much more vocal and energetic. Its just a joy to be able to see his and your journey. Thank you for sharing❤
I love to see my sweet Sebastian smiling, expressing himself vocally, and on the move. I hope you don't mind me saying "my" as I feel such a love for the little fella. Thanks for sharing your and his life with us. Your house is absolutely beautiful. ❤️
Busy, busy, busy boy! Rolling around like that. So happy to see both of you doing well! House is looking great! I just want to say that i look so forward to your vids. Seeing baby boy smile and you teaching us about him fills my heart. Learning about you and Gio as well. Thank you ❤
In a perfect world, we would not compare any children to other children. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and should be accepted for who we are. What a wonderful gift you have given your son by meeting him where he is on any given day. You are great parents.
Lovely video,it’s great to see Sebastian on the move, the physio therapy is really giving him more strength and mobility again. Lots of good info as well. 🙋🏼♀️
All that rolling around was absolutely adorable 🥰 I loved seeing Sebastian having a blast doing that. I also loved hearing him talk so much. He definitely had a lot to tell us, especially on Friday 😂 It was so fun watching him in that video.
BRAVO TO YOU STEPHANIE. So well spoken. I'm so proud of you. I believe Sebastian is an amazing blessing, & you & Gio are the perfect parents for him. I'm so glad I found you on CZcams. I look forward to seeing your videos each time. Sebastian makes me so happy & he is such a light. Thank you so much for sharing Sebastian with all of us. Blessings to you, Gio, & Sebastian. ❤️🙏
Omgosh ! I just loved seeing Sebastian rolling around on the floor , it was so dang cute !!!! The only thing better than that was Friday night sugar high !!! He was sooooo funny and I've laughed though out the weekend off and on over that one . That was just too good lol lol lol can't wait till tomorrow to see what he's up too !
The love a mother has for her child has no time limit. We love our children for eternity. Your a really good mom Stephanie, Sebastian is really lucky❤️💕
Steph…you are such a beautiful young woman…not only in looks, but also in how you beam when talking about your precious Sebastian. Thank you for sharing Sebastian’s journey with us. As always, sending love to you, Gio and Sebastian. BTW, so impressed with all you are accomplishing with your home. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
love love watching him roll! He is so strong! Wonderful to see! I believe God gives his most special angel babies to the most special parents in the world!
Hello Sebastian and mom! Loving Sebastian being so cute on the floor. He's truly a wonderful boy! I love hearing more about him ! Lots of love from Chicago ❤😍
You are an amazing young woman, you handle everything so well and express yourself wonderfully! I know you've had your days as we all do but on the whole you are upbeat, positive and a great mom to Sebastian and take excellent care of him.
It’s great to see Sebastian so vocal and active! He seems so happy. BTW Stephanie I liked the closet and thanks for reminding me to water my plants today. Lol
I enjoy following you and Sebastian! I know you are an extremely dedicated mother who is making a huge difference in the life of Sebastian!❤️🙏My prayers are with you guys daily.
Oh my goodness - this little guy makes my day - I don't comment often but I've watched all of your videos - I've come upon little Freya - Sebastian has come so far and to see him roll all around was awesome to watch - love your new home...
🎶Good Morning 🎶 (trying to send a morning greeting to you...like you give Sebastian...so sweet) What a joyous journal you graced us with today! Sebastian is looking so healthy and strong! Love he is wearing "big" boy shirts! Stephanie 💕, as always, humble thanks for allowing us into your life! Coffee and Sebastian...a blessed way to start my day! Love from Minnesota ☃️!
Go sweet sebastian, he talks and smiles with pride..what a smart boy...distress my toe, he is a very happy boy.. love to you guys. Beautiful family ❤❤❤❤
Hi Stephanie I just in the last few months started following your amazing family. The biggest thing that’s hits me every time I watch is the amazing love and dedication you and Geo have to Sebastian. You include him in everything, you accommodate his needs in daily life. He goes where you go I love that. I love to watch him talk, and roll and interact with everyone. Your son is beautiful. I love his eye lashes. Please keep making the videos, I love seeing Sebastian do new things. The pb&jj with daddy was great. God bless you all. He really is a light to the world. Be safe stay safe. 😇💙🙏
Hi Stephanie. I can believe how much he has come on in the past couple of weeks. He is amazing!!!! Don't worry about the length of your videos. I could watch them all day lol. You're right, Sebastian was put on this earth just to make us all smile and feel happy. You are very lucky parents to have such a beautiful little boy. Sending lots of love your way 💗
You’re such a good person Steph, so wise and positive. Your strength is inspirational. Thank you for sharing bits of your life with us, I always look forward to your videos and seeing gorgeous Sebastian rolling around today was just the cutest! I just love his little face so much, his smile is contagious ❤
It's great to see how Sebastian is getting stronger every day and talking more. As for the rest, most people know that every kid is different whether they're special needs or not. What I heard with Sebastian today was not distress so much as productive struggle. That's important because that's how we all learn and get stronger. That's the teacher in me. Sometimes that voice comes through!
He's really getting around! He may not walk but he will roll his way around like crazy!! Love watching him takes strides ! p.s. I bought a Bissell vacuum like yours. I love my lines also. Watching and sending love from Rochester NY ❤️
I didn’t quite understand what you meant about why you swaddle his left arm you take excellent care of your son.

I just love seeing Sebastian smile, and make his cute noises. That's not a sound of stress at all.I Love, love Sebastian! :)
Aww look at him roll!!! So great to see him feeling good again! House is lookin' wonderful! Love his happy voice too!
Sebastian is absolutely precious and a true gift to our world. May God bless him always. ❤
Oh my gosh, seeing Sebastian rolling around was awesome! You could see the joy on his face😃 Your honesty and outlook is beautiful
Thank you so much!!
Sebastian talking, smiling and rolling ❤ He is amazingly ! So wonderful seeing him healthy and happy ❤❤
You are such a beacon of faith, and pure love. Your family is definitely a wonderful platform for education and lessons of faith.
This was awesome to see Sebastian rolling about so well! ❤ He seems lively and happy!
Oh my gosh!! Those multiple rolls were awesome!! I bet that's great for his core strength! Looks like he has fun when he rolls!
It's been wonderful seeing Sebastian being more active and talking more! He is just the cutest! 🤗❤️
Aww Stephanie, thank you for opening your heart to all of us. You are a remarkable woman and Sebastian is a beautiful child.❤️
I've only been watching for a few months- from when he was in hospital last year. This has been the happiest I've seen him! Rolling around and talking in his own little way....
I just love this kid so much. Love all his smiles and talking.
You are a beautiful example of a loving mother.
Thank you for taking us along on your journey.
I truly enjoyed watching Sebastian rolling around on the floor. Thanks for sharing such an awesome milestone with us. ❤️
Priceless! You guys have definitely reached and touched this house in Atlanta...much love from here to you❤❤❤
Hi Stephanie
I'm so glad you said that you don't compare Sébastien to other CDLS kids. God bless!! ❤
I love this so much!!!
God bless you and keep you.❤
Sebastian rolling across the carpet was too precious! You could see the joy!
Sebastian is a cute, sweet little blessing from God. It is a blessing that you and Geo share him with us. I am sooooo glad that he is doing so well after his heart surgery. Love ❤️ and prayers from NC.
Such clear answers given. You are the best mom for that lil man! Thank you for sharing your lives, challenges and knowledge. 🌷
He enjoys rolling, it's great to see him so happy. He is so adorable.
Omg!!! Sebastian on a roll!! He’s a riot. Love him and you guys too!! ❤️❤️❤️
Awww. He looks so cute rolling around on the floor. It must give such a sense of freedom just to move where he wants.
Well Spoken And Well Taken. Bless You All!
Once again I love watching this little guy. I don't hear any distress! I hear a little boy expressing the best way he knows how and I love it.
He makes me smile everytime. Happy to see him so active. God bless.
Sebastian is just a happy jolly wee boy. Blessings from Northern Ireland

Such a sweet boy. Takes after his mom. Thank you for the Q and A! Blessings. ❤
You are such a great mom.He is such a special little guy he is thriving. Love to you all.
Just look at him roll! The looks he gives you just crack me up sometimes! I love to watch him grow 🥰
