Hi Paul - the reason it goes straight from Hammersmith to Edgware Road is because they're the two termini of the Circle Line. Clicking "Down" cycles through the stations clockwise (as it did for the departure, starting at Hammersmith, then going clockwise through Paddingston, KGX, Liverpool Street e.t.c.), and clicking "up" cycles through the stations anticlockwise. But because Hammersmith is the anti-clockwise terminus, clicking up from Hammersmith goes back to the other end again, i.e. Edgware Road (End, as it's the terminus rather than through) :)

I don't know for London Underground but here in Switzerland there are two timetables. One is the service timetable that is for drivers and the audience timetable for the passenger. The staff need to know both times to close the doors after the scheduled departure on the audience timetable but depending on the line there may be more or less time before they have to move but if they have green signal they move right away to save time for unforseen events.

We had it in Finland too. I remember this from childhood. It was/is called Karhuherra Paddington.
Underneath the announcement thing, there is a list with announcements if you click the corresponding number. For example, one of the numbers says "London Underground apologizes for the delay" and things like that

Squirrel reason for the speed change
when there is 40mph board the 40mph line starts from that board....so by rail simulator entire train has to be on a 40mph line in order to speed up so you need to wait for the entire train to cross the board.
while slowing down as soon as you enter 15mph line your are on 2 different speed lines...when this happens the slower speed gets the preference..so before you enter you need to slow down..
this rule is neglected in subway because there is not much speed difference and you will stop in few meters...while in train sim you has enough time to catch up..
Paddington Station is very realistic! (Accept from the train time boards!) I have been there before it looks exactly like that!
You won't be late if you close the doors at exactly dep. time... You will only lose about 3 seconds, which you would make up during travel. The most likely reason you're late to the other stations is because of the construction (they would probably have lowered the speedlimit so that they doesn't have trains blasting past the workers at 40 mph while they're working)

If you got WoS3 by download go to the game dir. And you'll have a tube map in there where you can print it of or view it on a separate monitor, if you got it boxed you should have a tube map in the box - just a tip, great video :)

Departure time is set when you close the doors, not when you start moving.

I am pretty sure that unlike other railways tube train speed limits apply at the front of the train. I could be wrong but I seem to remember seeing this on CZcams.

You don't have to do a brake test, brakes are tested before leaving the depot.
Can I tell you something? Did you know on the left side of the train were you setup the announcer you can press other bottons to do diffrent things for example if you press 1 it will tell people the door is going to close

World of Subways 4 is ALREADY out, but the reason why he does not play the latest game is becouse World of Subways is I think in Germany (home) but this is in London (his home (close)).

Excellent instructional video, but I've now removed the game from my PC as I found it too fiddly. I much preferred BVE4 which was very entertaining, but unfortunately will not play on Windows 7 and later
When only one track being use and they run a shuttle service, it know as a single track operation.

how do you know when to apply the brakes when approaching a station? is there like, a marker or something?

I've only just noticed this but Britain is really similar to Australia, I knew they were somewhat similar but with the kilometre thing, most people who live in Australia I know of say ke - lometer
except we're a crazy mixed up country that use the metric and imperial system at the same time and even, when communicating, both in the same sentence. in general we've stuck to miles for driving distances and speeds and metric for almost everything else. i wish we'd ditch the imperial all together.
Yeah I can't use mph because I'm so used to kph if I bought a car which had a mph speedo then I would most definitely be fined for speeding
