Really enjoyed that! Don't know how many times ive been on on test track. that truck comes out and frightens me every single time... even on this video!
this ride kicks, it's not all that extreme but it's just the sheer depth and detail of the theming that make it fun. i remember how freaking hot it is inside that part with the heat lamps
I got to finally see the VIP room at this ride when I went this year (a perk of being a GM Employee), along with getting a free fast pass to get right on the ride. It's pretty neat watching the cars go all over the place inside and getting an excellent view of the fastest part of the ride on the other end. the only thing I wish it had was a view of the back loop. Next time I come back I have to take pictures of area from above. (Hopefully GM is still sponsoring the ride then)
You're right, many people don't realize this; however, I have to correct one small thing. You don't get one Fastpass per day; you actually get one Fastpass per time. At the bottom of each Fastpass it says "Another FASTPASS ticket will be available after [time]." For example, if you get a fastpass for Tower of Terror for a 12:00-1:00 return, it might say that you can get another fastpass at 11:30am (hypothetically speaking). You can usually get another fastpass at the 1st return time or earlier.
Epcot used to be boring to go to until this ride was built, followed by Soaring and Mission to Space in which none of those rides were there until the early 90's on up.
that happen when I was in line for rocken roller coaster, also tower of terror broke too, Disney has alot of their rides break. One time when I was it at Animal Kingdom I looked up at the Everest ride and it was stuck on the lift hill with people on it. When the rocken roller coaster broke it was out for the whole day, I think they have poor maintenance on these rides or somthing.
that's what i was wondering, because at cedar point, i know all the rides have attendants make sure no one has a cam. on wicked twister, a train got launched and then stopped halfway down the track because they saw someone with a camera, it took like 20mins to get the whole thing reset
You can only use one Fastpass at a time, but you can get multiple Fastpasses in one day. At the bottom of your Fastpass ticket it will say "Another FASTPASS ticket will be available after [some time]". The time listed will be the time that you can go to get another Fastpass; however, before that time (to the second) you cannot receive another Fastpass. You can usually get a Fastpass every couple of hours (depending on the attendance and wait times that day). Hope that helps!
This looks like an AWSOME ride. Its nicely themed and pretty long. I didnt expect that going outside! Theres no that kind of nice themed rides where I live so I can only watch these videos on youtube :/
when we went to Disney two years ago we went on this ride 5 times, we loved the outside! Have they done anything different ti the ride since then? Please Respond
GREAT video and EXTREMELY cool ride! I was always chicken but rode it for the first time this weekend!! don't know why I was chicken - it's GREAT!!!! Well worth the wait (but get a fast pass!!). Thanks for sharing.
I remember this ride. I was like 6. The first time I rode it it had like just come out. My uncle worked for GM so we got to skip the line. Unfortuneately, i had a lot of problems when it first came out and broke down a lot. And it decided to brake down while we were on it. At about 4:04 is where we stopped and theyu came around and took us off the ride.
waiting in single rider can still have a wait. Fastpass is usually the guaranteed shortest wait. Honestly, I would just wait in Standby for this ride. It's wait time is always up until you get onto the car itself, but there's a preshow before that so you're really waiting 10 minutes less than it says. Usually you wait about 30 minutes, go into the preshow, and 10 minutes later are on the ride. I'd save my fastpass for Soarin
My answer: DEFINITELY! I know exactly the feeling he's talking about, and you never experience that feeling on this ride. The most intense part is the banked turn at the very end of the ride at 65MPH, but that feeling isn't as intense as a roller coaster and only lasts a few seconds. Besides that, he should be absolutely fine. My dad gets really motion sick, and he never has a problem on this ride. Just tell your son that it's just like driving in a car through Manhattan lol
i've been to florida 3 times, its brilliant time i go the weather is fine and the queues wow, i think the most i had to wait was Expedition everst 30mins-ish everything else like Tower of terror rock'n'roller coaster just says 10mins but its bassicaly straight on, this there's usaly about 35mins wait for not single, and 5 for single SOARIN is the worst for queues lol!! its brilliant - but the queues are always seem to be there
if you see this ride has a 4 hour wait something is REALLY wrong. i'll put it to you this way, the longest you should ever wait for any disney ride is 3 hours, and that's ONLY during the holidays (busiest time of the year). For the rest of the year, the most you sould wait is about 120min for Soarin (and now Toy Story Midway Mania), 90min for Rock'n Roller Coaster and Splash Mountain, 60min for Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, etc. You can gauge the rest of the rides on that =)
realized that 1. that wait should never be 2 hours unless it's peak season or broken. 2. if it was 2 hours, you should have gotten a fastpass or waited in the single rider line if you didn't care about your group being separated. 3. it's the longest and fastest attraction at walt disney world.
i've been twice at late september, (not 2 late) and just before thanksgiving, i was there on thanksgiving that was quite bad queues but after that, and before was fine! september was probarly the best weather/queues! ........Soarin has queues all the time though
229095 is a Cast Member, too. we take offense sometimes when people don't like disney rides. i try to be more understanding but it's still upsetting to hear when somebody doesnt like something.
to each his own. i used to work at disney and most people who i discussed test track with say they loved the whole thing. it's all a matter of opinion. you just know not to ride it next time unless you have the time and the patience to wait in line for it. otherwise just enjoy mission:space twice... make your disney trip your own =)
thanks for the compliments! and yeah i guess working in an office isn't as exciting as working out in the parks, but at least indoors you're away from the heat. i worked in florida during the summer... you sweat SO much! lol =)
i love the part where u guys go in the cold everyone screams i find tht soo funny and alse the part when u went outside and wen u did the banking each time someone wou;d scream it was funny
A hidden mickey is a reprensentation of mickey mouse added to a themed area. Most hidden mickeys appear as a big circle with two smaller circles. If you look hard enough you will see them in many of Disney's attractions!
@WhiteLioness100 Radiator Springs Racers, part of the new Cars Land, will use the next-generation Test Track technology. It is expected to open in Summer 2012.
summer is really hot and really busy between July 1 and mid-august. The winter is empty ONLY between Halloween and thanksgiving, thanksgiving and Christmas, and early January through president's week. Christmas time is by far the busiest time of year, followed closely by Spring break, followed closely by the summer. September and October are pretty busy too. Pretty much, most of the year is busy, and that definitely includes the winter, ESPECIALLY December 23 through January 3.
i was once stopped at the barrier test (i wouldve been the car in front of u lol). that would be funy if it was the same day and breakdown but doubtful =P
Thanks. Your version of this ride on video captures the true feel of the ride without filming everyone else in the car. Thanks again!
Really enjoyed that! Don't know how many times ive been on on test track. that truck comes out and frightens me every single time... even on this video!
This is truly a great ride.. especially once you get outside..and the break part.. epic. I just love meeting the people I sit with when I ride single.
Test Track was so much fun,my kids loved it!! We live in England, wish we lived in America. Great weather Great theme parks Great life!
this ride kicks, it's not all that extreme but it's just the sheer depth and detail of the theming that make it fun. i remember how freaking hot it is inside that part with the heat lamps
Absolutely! This ride really is for most ages. At 12 years old you'll absolutely love it!
I like the guy who says "have you ever been on it, your gonna love it" Thats me when I ride. I have met some lifelong friends on Disney attractions.
Honestly one of my favorite rides of all the parks. Very good ride footage.
I got to finally see the VIP room at this ride when I went this year (a perk of being a GM Employee), along with getting a free fast pass to get right on the ride. You did an excellent job on this video! Thank you for sharing this!
This ride is beyond amazing. I rode it three or four times in a row when i went to Florida for the first time.

Test Track is off the chain, if you ever go back make sure you ride this one at least twice and soaring too.
I luv it !!
@sharonboggi Theres a GM showroom type area just after the ride. They direct you to local dealerships where you live.

My Facebook page is once again active and running! Click the link in the video description and "like" Steamboat Productions today!

i've never waited longer than an hour for test track. the average time i've waited throughout the year was 30-40min
great vid!!
waited about 1:30 min and it was so worth it
I wonder, are the heat and cold room actually hot and cold, or is it just red lights and fake ice?
Best ride at EPCOT and I get to cut everyone in line since my dad works at G.M. haha!!!
i cant beleive you got it on tape
also what's that stuff (reportedly smelling like bacon) which comes out of those nozzles?
wow nice track design
Does it ever go to track course B?
thats a sweet job, i live in canada so i rarely get to go to disney parks
oh i was there in 2005. too bad the ride wasnt there and I was only 6 or 5-7 somewhere in there.
i was once stopped at the barrier test (i wouldve been the car in front of u lol). that would be funy if it was the same day and breakdown but doubtful =P
@atalexchopperrocks it's actually scarier when your on. Especially the turning. It's also just fun to scream.
