Went there yesterday & this video does not do it justice. They fountains were packed with kids having the best of fun. The seating area had a free cinema with comfy bean bags. The square (where the mini golf was) had loads of deck chairs to chill in. Just by there is a nice be flowered path running along the canel & a cafe with small nature reserve run by London Wildlife where you can really feel that you've escaped the city. Quite an astonishing transformation. Very family friendly, a hundred eateries & well worth a visit.
What a beautiful shopping and green space area!! Would love to spend a day there. And relax along the water way and have a coffee and watch the ducks, geese, and swans. This is a special place indeed. I agree with you that the regeneration is just beautifully and smartly done. They have made it a beautiful space. Love the mini golf! Wonderful iconic history in Coal Drops as once being the central energy source for London back in the day when we were not afraid of coal! Fab!

Oh yes the coffee shops and places to see are lovely and so well done for an area that was so run down once upon a time, thanks as always Luana :)
If you like wildlife, visit Camley Street Natural Park. It's right next to Coal Drops Yard.
