I hunt the Florida gulf beaches exclusively with an Equinox 800 and agree the machine can run very chirpy. To make it run quietly I usually set sensitivity at 18 in the water and 20 in the wet and dry sand, but some days I have to go down as low as 15. I use factory settings, typically do not ground balance and never use auto tracking. I got a men's 14K wedding band, a 14K pendant and large silver ring (18 inches deep) at sensitivity 18 in the wet sand last week so the lower sensitivities still work well. Happy hunting!
Those statutes underwater were way cool, I've never seen those on anything before tv or picture anyway, super nice place.
No beach is ever hunted out .. and yes salt water hunting is way different to fresh water, specially once the waves start to reach 6tf or more 😅... Thanks for taking us along on your vacation bud ... appreciate it!

Lost my room keys after picking up my towel on an Isla mujeres beach few years ago. Found them without a detector after 2 hours of patience and inference ! The worst!! 😂Great hunt Dogg, brings back good memories!!
