More people are finally reacting to this criminally underrated movie! Great reation! 👏👏👏 Paul Verhoven was inspired by Hitchcock's *Vertigo* ! And the music score from the fenomenal Jerry Goldsmith is one of the best ever! He once said "Basic Instinct was probably the most difficult [score] I've ever done."
It s one of the best movie of the 90's. Verhoeven is a master. All his movies have this rough european sensibility. The nudity in his movies always have a signification, like you said. The violence is always present too. Great cinematography, musicn and editing, great acting. The critics, in 1992 , complitely missed the smartnes of this movie. I love all Verhoeven movies.
24:07 This guy here who's playing the Sheriff has a bit part in a small diner in a movie called 'Breakdown' from 1997 starring Kurt Russell. It's a very good suspense/thriller that I believe you'd enjoy. There is a scene though that has one of the dumbest cops in movie history in it and if you ever do watch it, I'm sure you'll get what I mean. Another good thriller would be also starring Kurt Russell called 'Executive Decision' that came out a year prior in 1996.
Great reaction, don't know why you don't have more followers. Sharon Stone was fantastic here. But the film probably destroyed her career; she appeared in more roles but could never escape being the shameless harpy associated with that one scene. It's a shame because she is a superb actress. Also highly intelligent and once dated comedic actor Garry Shandling (lucky bastard and also RIP). So she also possesses a great sense of humor. You might say I'm a fan.
I may be biased cause i live here in the city but theres just something about San Francisco that just makes the neo noir vibes too notch. The Fincher film The Game is a a good rec of u haven't seen it. It's got also got Michael Douglas and San Francisco.
I see someone in the comments mentioned the movie 'Leave her to heaven' with Gene Tierney. That's an amazing movie, I think you'll really enjoy it. Worth checking out and react to.
Still love this movie, a masterpiece.👌❤️🙏
Love this movie, fell in love with Sharon Stone after this.
Would be composers should pay attention to an absolute masterclass in composition. Jerry Goldsmith was a genius composer.

My favorite movie of all time!
Great reaction, Shandor
Another modern noir you need to watch is Body Heat (1981) with William Hurt and Kathleen Turner. Has one of the best screenplays ever.
YES!!
Shandor! I agree with the other guy. Do BODY HEAT!

*Cruel Intentions* (1999)
_My favorite_
What makes this so great is an Alfred Hitchcock type thriller mystery.

Fun fact: Rob Bottin ( the guy who did the practical fx for The Thing) did the fx for this film, hence why this shit look real brutal.

Newman and Mr. Kroger from "Seinfeld" branch out from comedy into drama here. Skinner from "The X-files" keeps investigating crimes.
Great intro to Sharon Stone if you've never saw her before.
Once again, your review was great!
Sliver is a good Sharon stone movie as well!
Another Beth Michael Douglas wife on Fatel Attraction was called beth .
Shandor what Abt some comedies other than Woody. Any Buster Keaton or What About Bob
I'vebeen thinking about some Buster Keaton stuff. I think I've seen What About Bob unfortunately.
Binge watching your movies.. where are you from I can't figure out your accent? 🤔
Please consider reacting to the 1945 movie ‘Leave her To Heaven’ starring Gene Tierney.

I'll see what I can do!
Police shoots 🔫 to this day like that and ask questions later
Movies knew how to cast women back then.
Enjoyed your reaction 👍🏾 Check out another psychological thriller from 2004“Taking Lives” starring Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke.
