If you are driving MC an hour away and then returning home and then doing it again in the evening to pick her up - that’s 4 hours. And you are pushing yourself to do it when you are not feeling well. I hope now that the week has passed that you will take yourself a personal day and rest, take I nice relaxing bath, lounge in bed, eat and drink anti-inflammatory teas and nap. EVERY NIGHT I fall asleep watching other creators lives!! I myself have fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease & scoliosis. Pain disorders & autoimmune diseases are so very hard to deal with on a daily basis. One day of doing something simple, like cleaning house, just a day of fun shopping or a fun relaxing trip can take a toll. I’ve started planning that if today I’m going to do something fun or work of some kind I’ll be down at least a week afterward. It helps hearing from others who understand what you’re going through. So you don’t “owe” us to tell about your health. However as a community there are those of us who understand what you’re going through want to know how you are & are here to support you ❤
I have degenerative disc disease and had an automobile accident in 1996 and have nerve pain....you are so right....When I "do" things, I have to decide if it's worth dealing with the pain.
Oh Miss Brooke, I have lived my entire life with a chronic illness. I have a neurological disorder, it’s not autoimmune. But the one thing that we have in common is TRYING to learn to live life in moderation. I know that when I over do, I won’t feel well. So I’ve learned to either say no or to limit my participation. Other times it may be worth it to me to fully participate, even knowing that I am not going to be well afterwards. You just learn to make those choices. The other things that affect me (they may or may not affect you) are emotions, and the weather. Keeping these things in mind, I’m certain that you will be able to adjust the things that you enjoy doing in order to balance how you feel. Best wishes and praying for you!
Brooke I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and stress can cause a flair, food can trigger flair, change in bariatric pressure changes. Any health changes can trigger. Connective Tissue Diseases are tough. Some times you may have a flair up and you cannot figure out what the trigger is. You speak of learning to limit yourself, and sadly that is true. You just learn to not cave with the flair ups. Some days you are yourself and then by end of day you may feel 100% different. The fatigue drives me crazy, but I just keep on trucking. I may not be speedy Gonzalez but I just keep going. You will also learn what food triggers flairs and you will avoid them. My prayers are with you. 🙏🙏🙏
I'm so happy to hear about MaryCarls camp. It's so nice she found something she was interested in. People used to tell me homeschooling wasn't good for my kids because they didn't have the social they needed. I didn't listen. My grandson that I raised tells me he learned more in homeschool than he learned in high school. Because he wanted to try school. But he says he wouldn't do over. Brook, I admire your determination. I know a person with an auto immune disease and she "doctor shops" and relies on a multitude of drugs. I try to avoid her and her mother because they irritate me. My 10 year old great gr'daughter has a rare form of juvenile arthritis and had weekly infusions for over 3 years. She has improved so much this year and she NEVER complains. She shows the same determination as you.
So glad MC enjoyed her week at camp. Before I retired, I was a prop person for many years. Sounds like she learned skills she will use in all areas of her life forever. Learning to see objects and use them in clever ways will only expand her creativity and give her confidence in her abilities.

My sister is a holistic nurse. She says the only way to cure autoimmune desease is to find a good holistic Dr. YES they are expensive but your health is the most important thing. If you don't have good health, you won't be able to help others. Medications are made from chemicals. On long term regimen of medicine always causes a secondary problem that they then want to give you another medicine for. Doesn't take long for a body to break down completely if you're taking multiple medications. Just thought I would mention this. I am certainly praying for you Brooke. Much love from Wisconsin ❤

Great statement! I've tried many alternative or holistic meds. People also need to realize they do take longer to work. But they are so natural & easy on your body. So if anyone tries something, don't quit and say "they don't work"! They aren't usually an immediate fix, like taking an aspirin, more like a long term correction. 👍🏻
We like health updates because we care about you and not only does it if we know that you're hanging in there and try and stuff but other people that are out there that are having the same problems then they can maybe learn from what you're doing and you always have a positive attitude when you're doing that if you were a family member we want to know how you're feeling and that's how we feel about you guys we have learned a lot dehydrated because Jason only has one kidney so always do what makes you feel comfortable but as far as we're concerned yes we like to know if you're doing okay I'm so glad Mary Carl had a good time and I'm glad you gave us an update on Snow White aloha from Hawaii

There was a time in my life where I justr couldn't combat anythiong that was happening to my body; I wasn't sick, just tired and rundown to the point of sleeping most of my days, whenever I ciould. Someone told me about ACV, to which I scoffed at, at first. Then really looked into it and started a regime that suited my body type and frame...it didn't take long, and I made an incredible recovery. I continue to dose myself with ACV every few months, straight from the mother...

The heat and humidity has a big effect on a persons health. My age is a little more advanced but I work outside in the mornings and if I over do, my energy is completely depleted. There are days all I can do is sleep, then other days are much better. Hope your down time gets better and to a minimum.

You will need to put netting over your figs, fog down into the dirt put yhe netting down into the trough around the plant and cover with dirt. Do that with all the figs. Hopefully that will help 😊
I'm glad Mary Carol had fun at the tech camp! My four boys went to a six week theatre camp during the summer for three years. I graduated with a Fine Arts degree and a Theatre minor. I worked professionally as a technician director for three years. The school my boys graduated from had more kids go on to work professionally in theatre than all the sports combined in the school. The sun affects me with my. auto diseases. I have Ra fibromyalgia and Lupus. I can not over do it and stay out of the sun. I want to lay in bed too. But I get up and get going. But u feel better. Ur positive about urself ur body feels that. Keep pushing. One day at a time
My 7 yr old grandson has done theater camp for 2 years. His past performance was as the deputy sheriff of Gravity Falls. One of his favorite tv shows. He has become so much more outgoing. He’s the smallest one in his school class but he stood right in with the other actors from 6-16. Lexington Children’s Theater does multiple theater camps at Morehead State University in the summers. So blessed to have in our rural area!
Jason , remember that old vehicles are used to " real " gas. Try emptying the gas tank and put in " recreational gas." New stuff is too sticky. Just saying, doesn't hurt to try.
I hope you’re feeling better Brooke. I feel your pain. I was up all night with pain in my legs, I put a roll on cream that’s supposed to hep the aching, didn’t work. I tried the pain cream the pain management Dr. prescribed, didn’t work, Tylenol every four hours. I finally went to the room with my heating pad for my back. I have to use my c ac machine so many hours. It took two heating pads to get two hours sleep. This happens 2 to3 days a sleep. No one seems to know the problem. Neurologist ran test said I do need back surgery. Yeah. Still have pain in my left side, across my lower back and from my knees to my knees. Now what. Pain management. I don’t want to live on pain pills the rest of my lives.😢😢😢😢😢😢
I had 4 back surgeries in 6 yrs. 3 in 6 wks and i stil! Suffer. All kinds of pain mgmt and creams. I feel your pain. Think seriously before surgery. It is tough

My son-in-law has that car, it is gold, has a history folder of oil changes, all upkeep, all original! He loves cars, is son is 14, and is knowledgeable about cars more than his dad, so amazing ❤❤
Brooke, you have to learn to pace yourself, and that you can't be everything to everyone. You have to learn to say no when you are not up to doing something. I didn't sleep well for a few nights because of pain and today I slept 14 hrs. I'm eating breakfast at 2 pm.
Been there, done that! I drove 2600 miles in 6 days, and spent two entire days resting up. Didn’t even want to look at my car!

Having been living with autoimmune for 30 plus years, I try so hard to eat what I can grow or as fresh as I can get but would love a better storage and out of the bag eats with freeze drying! The heat and humidity has a big effect on a persons health. My age is a little more advanced but I work outside in the mornings and if I over do, my energy is completely depleted. There are days all I can do is sleep, then other days are much better.

You will need to put netting over your figs, fog down into the dirt put yhe netting down into the trough around the plant and cover with dirt. Do that with all the figs. Hopefully that will help

My four boys went to a six week theatre camp during the summer for three years. I graduated with a Fine Arts degree and a Theatre minor. I worked professionally as a technician director for three years.
The school my boys graduated from had more kids go on to work professionally in theatre than all the sports combined in the school.

The sun affects me with my. auto diseases. I have Ra fibromyalgia and Lupus. I can not over do it and stay out of the sun. I want to lay in bed too. But I get up and get going. But u feel better. Ur positive about urself ur body feels that. Keep pushing. One day at a time

My 7 yr old grandson has done theater camp for 2 years. His past performance was as the deputy sheriff of Gravity Falls. One of his favorite tv shows. He has become so much more outgoing. He’s the smallest one in his school class but he stood right in with the other actors from 6-16. Lexington Children’s Theater does multiple theater camps at Morehead State University in the summers. So blessed to have in our rural area!

I hope you’re feeling better Brooke. I feel your pain. I was up all night with pain in my legs, I put a roll on cream that’s supposed to hep the aching, didn’t work. I tried the pain cream the pain management Dr. prescribed, didn’t work, Tylenol every four hours. I finally went to the room with my heating pad for my back. I have to use my c ac machine so many hours. It took two heating pads to get two hours sleep. This happens 2 to3 days a sleep. No one seems to know the problem. Neurologist ran test said I do need back surgery. Yeah. Still have pain in my left side, across my lower back and from my knees to my knees. Now what. Pain management. I don’t want to live on pain pills the rest of my lives.😢😢😢😢😢😢
I had 4 back surgeries in 6 yrs. 3 in 6 wks and i stil! Suffer. All kinds of pain mgmt and creams. I feel your pain. Think seriously before surgery. It is tough

My son started in high school doing tek theater, and he learned so much. He then signed up for the Childrens Theater in Charlotte, where he learned even more. This a kid who knew what he wanted to do and did not change his mind from 9 years old. Fast forward, hw orks at Sony Studio's. Only downside 33:09, I live in Charlotte, N.C. and he lives in California.
