Yessss! "Danger" and "Boy in Luv" are my favorite of their early dance practices. The synchronization is so satisfying.

6:27 - That's J-hope our sunshine right there. His set when he headlined at Lollapalooza was crazyyyy. He owned that stage!
This song is from their anthology album "Proof", released June 2022. Being an anthology, it contains a distillation of their discography over 9 years, plus three new songs. The title track "Yet to Come" was nominated for a Grammy for Best MV. "For Youth" is an R&B song dedicated to their fans.
And then there's this one. It quickly became a fan favorite. Unfortunately, the song was banned from TV (I think because of some swear words), so we initially never got to see it performed. During album promotions, they sang "Yet to Come" and "For Youth", which had no choreography. (I recommend watching their Proof Live performance, with these two songs and "Born Singer", a rework of J. Cole's "Born Sinner". You can skip the talking section in the middle if you want.)
Then came the free Busan concert in October. We hoped and prayed that they will perform this song. When the instrumental came after the opening number ("Mic Drop"), we collectively lost our minds. The choreography was so good!
Between June and October, they were already focusing on solo work, but when they came together to practice this, they were still putting their all into it. Suga commented on this on his talk show, that he was happy to see that all members are still of the same mind when it comes to their performance.
jhope’s verse is everything. he was basically telling the whole team they have done so well.

Jhope's parts are the best. I don't know if it's because he is my bias, or because he's a great performer, but he always catches my attention.
I think this was their last choreo as a group. As the biggest group out there, They don't even need to go this hard anymore but no they are pros in the game. They give you 110% no matter what.
One of the reasons why this is shot so cinematically is because there is NO music video for this song. There is only the live performance done at the concert @Busan, which caused much shock and awe amongst the ARMY. And then one day, randomly, they dropped this dance practice on us, which only freaked us out more. I've lost count of the times I have watched this! Thanks for sharing this.

I don't know if you're aware but what I love about the last chorus is the line-up. They have all worked hard, J-Hope just told them so and when they line up next it's the youngest 3 (maknae line) on the left, the oldest 3 (hyung line) on the right, with RM standing in back but center as the leader watching over his boys. That line-up gets me every time. 🙂

Talking about the camera angles during the dance practice reminded me of the reason for them making “Intro Performance Trailer”. BTS was performing at a music festival in like 2014 & the camera man was either drunk or paid off to mess up the camera angles during their performance. As a way to call it out BigHit released the above mentioned video which was the performance at different angles.

They shared that in their early years Bang PD would monitor their practice videos frame-by-frame if their limbs were synchronized and at the same angle!
What gets me about the toxic internet. There were calls to Get rid of Hobie & Jin saying both cant dance or looks bringing down BTS. Which kudos to the team & RM fighting how BTS is not BTS w/o all 7. Death treats against Jimin, RM & V imagine all that and still bringing it hard & scuffing floors.

They are such a great underdog story and again shows they were not an overnight success, that they didn't get a Korean music show win for 2 YEARS and that they didn't start to really grow in the US until about 2017-18 so that took 4-5 years!.💜

About camera angles... When they had their first stage at an american award show (Billboard 2017), Jimin especially voiced their concerns that the cameramen didn't know where they would be exactly, so BTS couldn't synchronize with them in order to get the best angles and all that. BTS knows the rehearsal is particularly important to make sure they would be looking at the correct camera when needed, and so on. It was really stressful for them bc they felt it was amateur how they wouldn't be able to portray the story they wanted to show. They are used to interacting with the camera

The dance practice for when JHope did an award show performance of the song is awesome, as well. The choreography of the backup dancers is amazing and JHope can't even walk while seemingly dancing. I've seen plenty of musical shows on Broadway, in Vegas, and in the London theaters - but the BTS shows are the best of them all! I'm smoking with you and enjoying your reactions. I love the Dance Practices the most as well. You really must watch them (mostly teenagers then) backstage dancing to Run DMC's "It's tricky"! You'll love it!

Yeah the dance practices are always amazing to watch. You definitely get a higher energy level and sharper movements than the MV or live shows sometimes. For live shows, what you see for a song is often the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or could be even the 10th song they performed in a set. Sometimes with other super high energy songs so they go a hard as you can expect while singing under hot stage lights for several songs in a row. For example, the live you saw for this song came immediately after Mic Drop's live performance with about 3 seconds for them to take a breath in between and they needed to conserve energy for another high impact song after. So it makes sense that them getting to only focus on one song for a dance practice would be more lively. Same with MVs. They often have to do hours upon hours of takes for not only acting and other strenuous scenes, but they have to perform the dance over and over again until it's perfect on camera because it's usually the first look fans will ever have of the music's visuals. That's the beauty of dance practices. They don't need to worry about all of the extra stuff just the dance.
Danger Dance Practice is my favorite dance practice. This one is my second fav.

Your write up has a lot of misinformation in the first section. V was never intended as a rapper. He just insist he wants to rap for fun and even ask the rapline to give him a verse. Which they joyously never do😁. And jhope was picked because of his dance skills and he later learned rap from RM and Suga, and he also sometimes sing with the vocal lines.
But truthfully like your second section said. Alot of stupid army's said they wanted jhope out and even started a trend about it on Twitter. I'm glad bighit didn't listen to them and I'm glad our boys stuck with him till the end. Like bts always say, there is no bts without one member. They are bts cos they are 7'
