If you like the design of the tilta, might i suggest searching NEEWER’s version it combines both of what you showed on here, NEEWER A7C II A7CR Camera Cage, Aluminum Video Rig with QR Base Arca Type Anti Slip Compatible with Sony DJI RS Gimbal, HDMI Cable Clamp, NATO Rail, Cold Shoe 3/8" ARRI 1/4" Thread, CA050 Silver
Being fair to tilta, a camera cage is only really practical for a camera rig. If you're only really using the A7C ii for simple vlogging and photo, there's no point in making a compact camera heavier with a big cage like that, for my use case though, the tilta cage is perfect for a big rig setup
Definitely understandable wish I could use it for long periods hand holding but I think it would work better with a handle attachment. Just wish they added that little piece so it would be comfortable hand holding and with handle attachment.
Falcam is better, you can convert the full cage to half or to just base plate. The pinky problem is to open the cover, like the Smallrig you need to remove that part to open it.
The thing I like about the small rig the opening part has a hinge so it can open and close. Falcam should of done that also that's such a easy solution.
