This is a SNEAK PEAK of their upcoming Whipped Elderberry Facial treatment launching on August 5th! My model today is my client Taylor who is a dry skin type, with history of acne and wants to continue to lighten her pigmentation that it left behind. We did a series of chemical peels during last winter and she’s had great results. as you know during the summer months we try to keep things less invasive but still effective. So this elderberry protocol is perfect as a maintenance summer facial to brighten her up and rejuvenate her skin. This treatment left her skin supple, hydrated, and radiant. Hi I’m a current esthetician student 🙋🏾♀️, love your content however, aren’t you drying out these clients skin by the constant steam going throughout almost half the service?
she was only using steam throughout the cleansing process and removed it afterwards. I wouldn’t say that’s half the service.
it’s quite common for estheticians to steam the client through the cleansing step. it always depends on your client’s skin and i’m sure since she’s worked on her before, she’s gotten to know what her client’s skin can handle.
@@nessa5250I’ve actually seen her do this on multiple clients. I just know steam can dry out the skin especially if it’s being used excessively like that.
Hi! Thanks for your support and the question 😊 I think It depends on the client’s skin and your own observation during the service but in all the years I’ve done this clients love the steam and I’ve never felt the steam to dry a clients skin too much. If anything I find it helps soften any congestion in the pores and keep the skin moist. The only time I’ve modified steam usage is if the client has rosacea. But yeah I typically only do it during the cleanse and a lot of the skin script enzyme’s can optionally be used with steam. Hope that helps!
