I’m a mom of 3,and just started with Valentine’s Day and sold 12 gift baskets made $365. We were excited!!I’m now working on Mother’s Day and trying to save, so I can invest $1500 in products to get ready for the big day.
I have been in Sales for 15+ years. No matter what you're selling, keeping positive energy and remaining emotionally unaffected when things don't go your way (big or small) is critical. Everything works out for your good!

Yes ma’am you absolutely right! Because I had to take my baskets to a whole nother City 50 miles from my home to sale my baskets this year!! And I’ll be going back to that city for Easter, I’m not fooling with this nonsupporting people in my hometown!! Giving up ain’t in Me!!

I was thinking the same thing. This is reality. This is exactly how my room looks right now collecting all my mothers day supplies. Hopefully one day I'll have a separate space.
Girllll, my first day going out was that Saturday before Valentine's day and I didn't sell one thing. I felt really discouraged, but God is good. I heard this coming in my spirit "dust yourself off and try again" and even then I still wasn't feeling it. Went to church that Sunday, confirmed some orders from some prospects. Monday I woke up with a different attitude, I made up in my mind I was going to go back out if anything left over it will roll over to Mother's day.
I spent the day Monday buying more stuff to make more baskets because I felt I didn't have enough to go back out with after talking to those at my church who ordered. Tuesday and Wednesday I went out there praying Lord send me some customers and I sold most of my basket except for 3.The profit was looking kinda slim maybe because I bought everything full price or what I'm not sure, but I plan to approach Mother's day with a different strategy on spending vs profits.

You certainly know your stuff, and even though you don't get on much you have many followers, and that speaks volumes, because when you come, you come with it, and many continue to subscribe, sometimes not being on all the time gives people something to wait for. After we finsh all that work of selling we have to settle down, and take some time for ourselves, and assess our sales. I personally decided not to share anymore on how my sales went, because this can cause many especially first timers to feel like they also have to share, and if things didn't go well for some it could make them feel they're not keeping up with everyone else causing them to feel a certain kind of way, and.or give up like we see some here in the comments, and that you're encouraging to stick with it. Sometimes just encouraging one another, and having fun in what we're doing is all that's needed, because sales can lead to competetion. I appreciate all you do in this community. Keep doing what you're doing!! 😊😊
Girl you should buy shelves so you can organized. You will be more efficient. And you won't buy things you don't need or you can see what you do need.
If you look at my last year videos, I had shelves, but they don’t work for me. Organization ain’t my way I guess.😂 and I didn’t buy stuff I don’t need I buy in bulk so everything I got. I got hundreds of like my house shoes I got 150 house shoes the teddy bears I got 200 teddy bears so I buy in bulk that way I get the best price and that way the next holiday I don’t have to buy anything

Congrats on sales. For those that want to quit please don’t. This was my first time doing full on baskets and I didn’t sell out but I made a profit in comparison to my spending including my no sales but I made more money selling just valentine baskets 1time than I made in 3 years worth of pop ups. So I will keep pushing onward, I’m not full time but I’m willing to push all the spare time I have to grow this business.never quit!!!
I watched a video earlier that purdy much said "we" basket makers cannot compete with Walmart's cheap baskets ya da ya da ya da! So glad I came back here to watch this video again - its uplifting! As a Newbie to the business, "inventory" basket making videos are boring & a waste of time. It's refreshing to know that you start anew with every occasion like a Newbie since many of us do not have "inventory" or luck in catching sales/deals. Your interest in asking how we're doing shows that you are very caring as well as listens to the "wants" of customers. Love your tips, positive attitude & non-preachy style! Keep it up! 🎉❤
I’m marketing by giving some free basket/gifts around town to my medical team and placing gift sets outside the holiday on a separate table under my tents to show what all occasions I do to increase interest and sales for other than holidays. Getting my name out there!!!❤

Basket making is a skill and everyone is on different skill levels depending on their background experience. You have to put in the work to improve your skill levels. It should be something that you really love doing because it requires a lot of time and patience to design, stage and produce quality work. Presentation is everything!. Now if you are a Newbie thinking about selling baskets before you go buy one item. You really need to do your homework and figure out a strategy for where you live and your target audience. What someone else is able to do in terms of hustling their baskets may work for them, but not apply to you depending on where you live. Only you can answer those questions. You have to do the work conduct your market analysis and create a strategy. For example; What type of baskets are you selling? Who are you trying to sell your baskets to? What age group? Are your baskets for all demographics? What are the income medians for your area? Do you need permits in your area to sell on the street? Google vending events in your city that you can go to. Think of all the ways that you can sell your baskets. You have to have a hustle mentality to sell baskets. It is a business and it is up to you to do your homework. Don't forget to use your social media platforms. There are so many ways to market your business. I did it for many years and was very successful because I created a strategy for my area and my work did the rest. Please stop comparing your success by what someone else is doing it doesn't work that way.

Keep the other ladies that didn't sell out keep them in prayer and yes make as many baskets ahead as you can men basket Easter baskets just make a lot of baskets and if you want to put your your moisture packets in them that's good since you've already bought them you know try to not have your baskets in direct sun and make sure your your house stays at a a cool temperature a comfortable temperature

I’m insulating my shed and installing heat and air as well as wiring for full electrical. I have a refrigerator for it and am getting counters put in. That’s what I plan to do for my business it’s in the works now.
Starting back this Mother’s Day 😅 took care of my kid’s selling basket they grown and gone now.. One when to Heaven. So adding baskets to my treat business. Prays

Beautiful job my beloved I've been selling baskets over 30 years I think it's all about demographics I have a lot of friends who make baskets and most who are doing very well are in the south I don't know why up north we have kind of reached our peak and over the years the generations & money flow has changed still love watching you guys get the bag 🥰
When I first started I sold 4 baskets. A year later I'm selling over 200 baskets. The next goal is 300 baskets for Mother's Day.

Hey I’m a new subbie and I have been following you, LBE, and Boss lady Fe since January and you all have motivated and inspired me to start selling baskets. I have always loved crafts and my love language is gift giving so it just fits so well!!!! Y’all also gave me great ideas and tips to think outside the box which designing my baskets so with Easter instead of doing all baskets in making Easter display now I just have to get my pricing together because all you teach about not low balling yourself and I’m trying to make sure I do t do that. This is my first year making baskets
Hey sis. I glad to see you back. I have been super busy even while recovering from knee replacement surgery. I sell baskets through the year by orders. I have never done street sales because I am so busy with orders from treats, event decorating and balloon installs with different sororities , schools, churches etc. I also rent wooden letters which is great for my business. I made about 50 baskets went out about a week before or so and didn’t sale one basket (didn’t get discouraged) then we waited until it got closer to Valentine’s and then sells were better. My husband came home from work and said the guys all want baskets and he sold quite a few it was amazing 👏🏽👏🏽 not sure how much I’m making for Easter and Mother’s Day just going to make and see what the outcome will be, but glad your sells was great too ❤ it girl much love 💕
