    How do they not care about the customer if they let EVERYONE know that they were planning on being bad? The people that went to Sixer games during this process were either die-hard fans of the organization or going to see another team play.
    Fans knew exactly what they were getting out of Philly, there was no hidden agenda

    He keeps talking about losing while charging fans like they're trying to win but the tickets during the tank years were dirt cheap. The bottom line is that we wouldn't have the young talent that we have or the cap space that we have if it wasn't for the process. Now instead of fighting for the 8th seed every year we have a chance to seriously compete. To me it was soooooooooooooo worth it

    • @mrsarcastic87215
      @mrsarcastic87215 Před 6 lety +14

      deharleyva yes compete, maybe you haven't paid attention but we're an Eric Gordon buzzer beater away from a 7 game winning streak. We've been in just about every game this year. Embiid is healthy and if he can play 60-70 games a year we'll be fine. Way better off than we were after the Bynum debacle

    • @kenan-b
      @kenan-b Před 6 lety +14

      Right, there was literally a week in 2015 where you could've gotten a ticket in the nosebleeds for a nickel. A NICKEL. that means a homeless dude could've found a quarter and brought in 4 of his homeless friends to an NBA GAME. but nope, sas stay on this bullshit lmao

      @girthbrooks956 Před 6 lety +9

      @mrsarcastic87215 Před 6 lety +2

      Jross2298 And Fultz's injury I think was an injury that happened before preseason even and it was atrociously mishandled by his agent and the medical staff for the Sixers, so it was just made worse by him playing on it. So he might not even count.

      Okafor is Eddy Curry 2.0. He lacks the mobility to defend in space, he lacks the athleticism/instincts/I.Q. to protect the rim, he has awful positioning when it comes to rebounding, and - above all else - his effort level is pathetic. He has no trade value in today's NBA.

We're a fun team to watch, we have great players and most importantly, we're winning! In this case, I think the end justifies the means. Max Kellerman's the only one up there who has some sense.

    • @eldio2124
      @eldio2124 Před 6 lety +56

      Remy Pearson he’s right, it is terrible for sports. Why should you be allowed to lose games on purpose? That takes the out the whole point of competition. Just imagine being a fan, paying money to watch a team tank games.

    • @RemingtonMK
      @RemingtonMK Před 6 lety +7

      Steve Gerrard I see your point man. & I don't have to imagine going to the games, I actually went. But imagine if we won a few more games because we really tried. Where would the Sixers be now? They would probably still be a mediocre team... not even making the playoffs. But instead, we tanked, and now we're a good team. In my opinion, we'll even make the playoffs this year. So in hindsight, I'm glad we tanked for those 3 or 4 years because now we're a waaaay better team than we would've been if we had not gotten those draft picks due to us losing. As a fan, I can say yeah we suffered, but there was light at the end of the tunnel. And we've reached the end baby. Definitely worth it.

    • @welcometothe4990
      @welcometothe4990 Před 6 lety +5

      Remy Pearson I respect it.. But if y'all don't do nothing big in the next couple of seasons then y'all tank for no reason and just give your fans base something to not look forward to.. You could also trade and pick up free agents but iguess tanking was the best way.

    People are so silly. The NBA incentivises losing! Smaller franchises that don't find a hidden gem late in the draft will never be able to attract or keep star players like teams like the Lakers. The best way for these teams to succeed is to lose and the best players in the draft are most likely at the top. So what they are doing is logical? Rather than spending 10 years in Limbo of not making playoffs and not getting high draft picks. Because tbh the majority of good that has come from those positions have been complete luck.

It's a gift that keeps on giving when it comes to examples of confirmation bias and a lack of critical thinking skills!)

    If SAS wants facts then lets provide facts. The 76ers were a playoff team in 2011 and 2012 and realized that they weren't going to compete for a title so why push for the playoffs. 5 years later and they have a young team that is going to give the league hell. The Lakers followed the same strategy but they didn't publicize it like the 76ers. SAS must have forgot that the Lakers have picked 2nd for 3 straight drafts and 7th the other draft. His favorite team the Knicks are the ones who haven't figured out how to lose with a purpose.
    Maybe your anger and aggression towards the process should be aimed at the Knicks because they don't have one while the 76ers and Lakers are building for the future with a purpose.

Stop hating Stephen because you disagree. Do what Max did and actually look at the big picture for once. The main thing I hate about The Process is they still charged the fans to watch them lose, the mismanagement of player health and Jahlil Okafor being punished for being big...he avg 17 and 7, has made improvements and they are toying with his development to date...the other night they put him in the game and he looked lost, his first game of the season he gave them 10/9/2blks in 22mins...then they ice him
    Meanwhile Al Jefferson, Derick Favors, Lopez Twins, Nurkic, Kyle O'Quinn, and many other bigs with less foot speed and coordination that Jahlil are getting minutes in the league and doing okay for their teams...He is a post scorer, he gets in the game and is pressing to show his worth as he feels he is being pushed out of the league...
    Saying he isn't that good is foolish...He may not be able to start on every team, but as a back up big please...we saw him against the Cavs last year exploit them over and over for not being able to guard the post...that is his strength and this year he came in better ready with fitness and effort and he is being punished for it.
    Negligent and overt sabotage by the Sixers and it will cost them...they are doing the same with Fultz...what other team mismanages a number one pick like this and have his career start off so shaky and terrible off an injury?? Over and over...allow Simmons to pack all this size really fast and surprise foot issue...Embiid pack all this size surprise knee/foot issues...
    With all that 6-4 and still room to grow into a playoff team...Fuck the Process...they fell into something that failed and eventually turned around. Now do better to grow it

    "Can you imagine if they drafted Porzingis instead of Okafor?" I do, Kellerman, every single day.

  • @LegionOfEclaires
    @LegionOfEclaires Před 6 lety

    Why do teams tank? Because teams know that Superstars win championships. How do you get Superstars? 1. Trading. 2. Free Agency. 3. Draft.
    1. High Risk. You often have to give up a lot for a superstar and it's not guaranteed to work. Bad trades can destroy your team.
    2. Have to spend a lot to attract the stars. Hard to do when teams can match an offer and go over the salary cap. Bad teams have a harder time attracting big names. No one wants to be on a bad team unless they're getting paid. If decent-good teams can match offers, why leave. You get your money and you get a decent team. It's not even guaranteed to work. Bad signings can destroy your team.
    3. Safest option. It's a hit or miss. Best players typically go higher in the draft. You don't lose as much for bad picks compared to bad trades/free agency signings. Bad draft picks could hurt but really don't destroy you unless you put all your eggs in one basket and make bad trades.
    So how do we solve the tanking problem? Lower the salary cap and make it a hard cap. Force players/teams to choose between getting paid large or taking a pay cut to play with other good players. In theory, this would create more parity in the league. Smaller market teams have a better chance to improve the roster without resorting to tanking.
    And the haters have their reasons but the bottom line, they are scared. They are afraid because they see the Process working. The Sixers tanked and look at them now: they are one of the most exciting young teams and people believe their future is bright. Compare the Sixers to the Magic, the Hornets, or the Nets. Who do you think have a brighter future, barring injury?

Put him on Cleveland or GSW and he will help them win a Championship with the 2nd Unit. When starters come out the game, Okafor is one of few players that take high percentage shots with his back to the basket (post moves), this can be used to keep leads so starters get more rest. Unlike the majority of the league where bench players just come in game and shoot Wild low percentage 3s like Swaggy P for example lol thats why teams are up by 20 and lose LEADS!!!
