I just gave up. It's pointless. I bought a holy stone hs720g in July. It is on the FAA declaration of compliance list, but it's 100% not compliant. Holy Stone says putting their RID module on it makes it compliant. So the FAA can F all the way off. I'm going to keep flying my non compliant drone that's on the compliance list lol.
I truly know how that gentleman felt by wanting a picture with Ken Dono....... I mean @Ken Heron..... 🤡❤ Can't wait for April 2024 in Florida.... to see the wonderful family again!!! SpinUp, unfortunately, wasn't possible but it looked like a GREAT time....

I called it the second the AMA caved into the FAA restrictions back in 2015-16. The FAA will continue to require more hoops and fees to fly until only commercial pilots can afford it. This used to be a very fun hobby but not anymore.
may I ask you about this Remote ID? Is this something expressly for Drone flyers? This is over my head but I know it's important. Can you direct me to a link to better understand this? thanks for your time
oldguyFPV; As applied to a US Citizen, RID, part 107, and any other FAA regulation that attempts control personal and/ or privately owned air space, is unconstitutional! Fly safe, fly free!
one of the reasons, cost another, no registration a third, is why sub 250 gram drones will be the top sellers. Therefore, going forward, most drones won't be broadcasting RID.
@@RebelByNature it's not that I don't want to be compliant. It's just a broken system that isn't getting fixed. Non compliant drones are still being sold. Even though they aren't supposed to be.
@@mattalford3932 Ok, my point is that most people, most drones being sold (recreational fliers buying sub 250g drones) do not *need* to comply. Even DJI Mini 4 stopped broadcasting RID when used with the standard batteries as of the Dec firmware update. Stated another way, what percentage of recreational fliers, the vast majority of fliers, will be buying the relatively more expensive, bigger heavier drones?
