I am using a trimmer with a four stroke engine, this just reinforces the reasons to be using one.Plus its quieter, It might be a little heavier but not having to mix and store 2-stroke gas - plus the clogged carburator issues, deterioated fuel lines makes it work for me.

Nonsense. 4 stroke can suffer from deteriorated fuel lines and clogged carburetors just the same.
2 stroke is easier to repair and service than 4 stroke. You sound like a vegan.

Just get rid of the spark arrestor.
