oh yes the 2008 version from the Mythes & Legendes EPOK IV DVD is deffo the definitive live version. Personally my favourite is the studio-recorded one from 2020: it's smoother, slower, more classical (has the Prague Orchestra playing strings). A lot of their best live versions come from those DVD's (and the 2000 Trianon sessions too). Many of these vintage-era performances are a little messy, performance-wise. Tho' I've got a massive soft spot for the Bobino video-version of Retrovision, it's much tighter than the other ones about.

I love the Bobino concert recording, but feel the version of Zëss presented in the Trianon DVDs is closer to Vander's true vision. A masterpiece!

@@dhollsynthmusic I always felt the 80s recordings are more intense but the Trianon recordings from the 2000s are much better quality and tighter.
I agree. Antoine Paganotti's drumming and James MacGaw's guitar are more in touch with Vander (I think).
