  • Are you a copper collector? If so then congratulations! The following tool is very much needed for you! In the next video I made I will show you an easy and quick way to build a tool for peeling copper wires easily. To facilitate the process of building the tool, I avoided using welding and tools that are not available to anyone. Of course, I have tried to use the materials that everyone has in their workshop or home. Certainly as a considered collector, this tool has made my life a lot better and that is why I decided to build it. So if you were looking for an easy and quick way to build such a tool watch the video and tell me what you think about it in the comments here.

In the process of making one of these for larger cable. I have tons of 350 and 4/0 GGC cable to strip which is difficult with just a razor knife... I have an electric stripper for the individual wires, just not the entire cable diameter. Going to figure out a way to drive it with the same motor as the electric stripper I already have.

No it is not practical and easy to build for the average beginners. Where do you get those gear rollers, and if you don't have a vise how you keep this stripper unit steady? I bet you this stripper can not peel small stranded soft wire like the one that comes from extention cord or power cord from devices....

For those wondering what those gears are called. Those are Bevel Gears.
I'll try to make this one myself. Only missing the bearings but I know a local dealer.

They're called "pillow blocks" in the trade and can be purchased at McMaster Carr or Graingers, etc. be sure to get the keyed type.

So this a really cool idea only problem is you haven't mentioned what size of anything you used. Could you put that information in the description or perhaps pin the comment? Thank you.

What I see that there is no any welding works in this idea !!! what a nice job ...But with little of thinking to add hard spring to push down cutting holder instead of balance it Manually
