    I respect you greatly DR. can you please try it on BMW (test DISA or EGR) or connect to F-series, sorry to say I made the mistake and bought this tool 4 months ago it doesn't work not on BMW or most Australian cars, sent and called the tech help over 40 times (China)no help (sorry for your inconvenient) is the answer we get, called US helpline to upgrade to pro-level to work on DISA and EGR active test or programing and still waiting, I had Autel 808 it gave me more functions for half the price ( I hope you have a better service in the UK than what we get in Australia)

    BMW V50.70, same as that on my Launch. I'd like to see a list of the maintenance items for my particular car from the manufacturer. I just tried to do an Oil Reset and my Launch provides instructions to press the odometer reset on my dash, then switch to the Accessory mode, then press the odometer reset again and all of that did not work. I had to get my Durametric scanner out to do the reset. I am skeptical about anything high-priced without seeing what it can actually do and how compatible it is with my vehicles. I see that all Updates are Free, is that for life or for a year or two?

  • @MatthewTaylor3

    This looks BASIC like it doesn't seem to do immobiliser work when all keys are lost, or software version updates to the various components on the vehicle. It does NOT do Guided Fault Finding or have any wiring diagrams like ODIS does for VAG vehicles. This tool is not as sophisticated as this guy says, but it is an affordable alternative for doing everything else.

      They're very similar, as there isn't much else you can do with them. The phoenix plus is similar with the snap on, launch, autel models (the big 1k ones) just pricing differs. The software is the same essentially
      Going cheaper, the artidiag 800bt is essentially a launch/thinkdiag unit again pricing differs.
      And then the bluetooth VCI and apps, again. The software is literally the exact same just the branding, pricing and VCI are different
      You can't do much when the same buttons do the same thing, just promoting them for the company.
      That said, I'd be very happy with a phoenix plus as it'll do everything the snap-on/autels will do for much cheaper, and the subscription is cheaper too. £80 a year for everything vs what £150 vs £50 per manufacturer/or car make/brand

    AUTEL is an unethical company that takes advantage of its consumers. I acquired a maxisys pro in 2015 and had no reason to upgrade its software because it was compatible with all of my vehicles. A free update released an application that works like ransomware and installs a timer that prevents you from accessing the diagnostic part of the tool. Now, all I get is a “Software is not authorized!” message when I try to use the diagnostic part of my tool The only available option is to purchase an upgrade from Autel for $1400.00. Product knotting is illegal in the United States, and this corporation should be severely punished for what they're doing to their customers in order to create cash flow due to the recent lawsuit Autel settled.

    As cool as the topology feature on ALL of these Chinese aftermarket scanners is. They ARE NOT accurate and shouldn't be a key selling point. Not for their price. Trusting the topology feature of these scanners can lead you on a wild goose chase and cost you precious time and money. Remember it is not comparable to OEM topology that in most cases knows the as built equipment. Thus can accurately tell you what equipped modules have a communication fault. These aftermarket scanners just send out a call for communication and tell you who reported back. If no response, it says "Not equipped". That's is not accurate and is miss leading. Not worth the steep price these companies are asking for this half baked feature. No aftermarket scanner is comparable to OEM and no aftermarket does everything well. Know their strengths and weaknesses. They are cheaper than OEM for a reason.

    • @jorgemat8080
      @jorgemat8080 Před rokem +5

      Funny as you said that about oem tools and aftermarket tools. So you saying g that you should invest about a million dollars on oem tools to work as a mechanic and don't waste 1000 dollars to get %75 of all coverage. Tell that to any mechanic and see what their answers are lmao 🤣. No kidding oem is oem for a reason only works with that specific make so you would have to buy a oem tool for all the brands you work with wowowowowowowoeo not worth being a mechanic if you can only work with one or maybe 2 brands as oem tools and their subscriptions would bankrupt any small mechanic shop. Should I keep going. Hahahahahah. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
