Yes, let us go down the Evenecence rabbit hole. Good Enough and Call Me When You're Sober would be good reactions also. ✌💜🎶
These two definitely require the lyrics on screen. Because they draw their power completely from the lyrics.
Don't forget Bring Me to Life
Yes!
@@dannythemysterious8221 yes we need to go further, these three and also don't forget broken by Amy Lee (AKA the lead singer of Evanescence) and Seether
Don 't forget my imortal and everybody's fool
Bring me to Life and my Immortal are Evanescence's best songs. Hands down
Geisbag totally agree😭
I reallllllly Like hello along with those songs.
@Whosader I also really like going under. The chorus is incredible. I'd say 3rd for me. But I'm sure we can both agree that she just has an incredible voice
HANDS DOWN.
Don't forget about lithium or Call Me When You're Sober
Do “everybody’s fool” by evanescence! It’s so good and so underrated
I don't think that it's underrated at all but yes it's very good though
YES!!! Everybody's Fool' is amazing!!!
Just an fyi this is a song from 2003. So not really "now a days" lol
lol right??
Wasn't Fallen released in 02?
@@91clarie according to Wikipedia: Released September 9, 2003
@@lisliaer7999 k thanks! But I think certain singles like Bring me to life were released in 02 because I remember listening to them while vacationing in Ireland and that was in 2002. I think. Lol I'm so old 😂🙈
@@91clarie says first single released April 03
I highly suggest that you do lithium or Call Me When You're Sober the emotions of it are simply stunning
Evanescene is my fave band since I was 12 and now I'm 28..... oh, Nightwish and Within Temptation are also great. Amy, Tarja and Sharon are all QUEENS
YES!!! I love all these groups! Though it's not Tarja in Nightwish anymore... I still love their songs!
Floor...
Evanescence - call me when you're sober
Call Me When You're Sober. Please oh, I think that's one of their best
So is Bring Me to Life
Man i remember listening to Evanescence back in the mid 2000s, this brings back so many memories.
"Call Me When You're Sober" and "Everybody's Fool" reactions would be great. They are two of my favorite songs of theirs.
2003 2004 great years I was in my mid 20's I had so much fun!
Man let’s get SEVENDUST. In this reaction!! HED P.E.... !! You wanna go back to the late 90s and early 2000s rock bands I got you !! 🤘🏼
I loved Evanescence back in 2003. My favorite Evanescence song of all time is still "Tourniquet." I got into Within Temptation shortly after and never looked back.
damn!!!! her voice is insane!! I love that song.
Bring Me To Life (Original and Rock version)
Call Me When You're Sober
Everybody's Fool
Haunted
Lithium
"Taking Over Me" - Evanescence
Amy lee is amazing ♡
Evanescence -bring me to life, my heart is broken, sweet sacrifice are good!!
Also she did a duet with Seether in a song called Broken. Another good one to check out
Broken!!!!
I can't believe that I haven't listened to Evanescence in years I used to listen all the time gonna be on the Spotify playlist today.
I saw them last year in concert. She is amazing
If you like this type of song, with a little more of a "FFDP" feel to it, check out the song "Drop Dead Cynical" by Amaranthe. Highly underrated. ✌
God I love Amy Lee her voice is absolutely amazing
Amy Lee has one of the most phenomenal voices to ever grace music. In my opinion, she's one of the most underrated female vocalists ever. Tbh, all their songs are fire lol. Good enough, Call me when you're sober, Lithium Hi-Lo, Hello and Even In death (2016 version) are my top favorites. But yes, let's go down the rabbit hole!
I remember when this came out and I was going through the same thing at the time. I absolutely love this woman.
Evanescence is amazing!! I’m so glad that you reacted to this! I used to listen to their music every day. Still love it.
Got to see Evanescence in concert a few years ago and she literally brought me to tears
i saw her at family values 07...she is amazing
Been my favorite band since I was 15. She got me through a lot of dark days when I wanted to give up in high school. PLEASE react to more of them!
Evanescence- Lithium. Vocals on that song are unreal. An absolute must see
Imperfection, Lost in Paradise and Made of Stone are all excellent Evanescence songs, just to name a few of those not already mentioned.
My dude, you should really check out Imperfection by Evanescence. It's about losing loved ones from suicide from the loved ones perspective. Its powerful, beautiful, moving, and her voice is unreal.
Loved it when you started dancing - it really is a great tune :)
Great reaction Mr L!! Loved it ❤
My Immortal may be their most beautifully crafted song, but damn, Going Under is just hard AF. My favorite Evanescence song ever.
Evanescence is Goth Opera. You have to keep in mind the aspect that she's coming through. Goth, dark, death, love and romance. Blacks, reds, Leather and lace. Roses,
Thats the essence of Goth
If you want a good female lead singer check out halestorm. Lzzy hale is one of my favorite vocalists.
💕💕
I'm glad you asked that question. There's a reason there is such a thing as a 'Starter Wife.' I love this band, because she speaks to emotional abuse, how hurtful language scars worse than physical injury.
Zombies lately? This vid is older than you might think, and zombies are always in lol
One of the best bands ever! They don't make them anymore like they did in this era. I miss it so much
Yes!! Breathe No More reaction please, it's such a deep, beautiful song.
1. As a guy just a little younger than her from Arkansas and seeing her before she blew up, she is the truth. Such an amazing voice.
2. To answer your question about abuse in relationships, it is something that has been around for forever. It is actually getting to be slightly less common, I believe, but before the modern era of women's rights, women were essentially the husband's property to do with as he pleased. Even if not married, it was generally not acceptable for women to speak out about anything, even if they are being mentally, physically, and/or sexually abused.
Unfortunately, there are still women who are scared to speak up against their abusers for fear of retaliation and being abused worse, and even more so, that society will reject their pleas for help.
Abusive relationships have been around as long as people. It's a more recent thing to be able to speak up about it so it seems to be more prevalent than before. I've heard the stories from my parent's time and from early in my own where an abused woman would finally gather the courage or be fearful enough to go to the police. The cops called her husband who came and took her "home" only to subsequently beat her to death or near to it. He was never even charged with a crime. The further away from that culture we get, the more women feel safe to stand up and be heard.
It's the same with LGBTQ+ issues; recent times have allowed us to speak up and be seen. We here in the west have experienced a social/cultural swing from authoritarian, predominantly patriarchal, restrictive, and hidebound towards a more open, eclectic, tolerant, and diverse set of core constructs. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing depends on how one is affected by it. If you are freed from oppression, fear, and allowed to express your true self, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, then it's a good thing. If you have had to give up long cherished and deeply conditioned prejudices and alter your PUBLIC behaviour (speech is a behaviour) to conform to the new social norms, then it may seem a bad thing. For me, if it leads to more freedom for more people and less idiotic oppression, I think it's a net good.
Amy Lee's voice punches harder than a heavyweight world champion! Her voice control is so on point, that she can hold a single note so purely, she can cut glass with it.
Evanescence is an amazing passion filled singer
The zombies and Monster faces represent her fear of the stage and performing in front of thousands of people. Eventually she got over it but at that time that was how she felt.
I hit the like button before you ever started because this song is awesome! My immortal is still my fav. Her voice is incredible! 💕
Evanescence - My Immortal, this is an epic love/heartbreak ballot
Thanks for doing an Evanescence reaction, and hope you will do some more. Love this band. B.T.W. if your still doing Weird Al reactions, please do Headline News,it will crack you up.
i randomly watched this video like an hour ago, definitely still in the mood to watch n hear again🤘🔥🔥🔥 females are killinnn the rock game lately🤘
@AwwwhYyyyeah almost 2 decades old...
@AwwwhYyyyeah yes, females are killinggg it lately. back when this came out they were one of the very few rock bands w a female vocalist, now the other bands i listed are at the top of rock. don't dissect my comment like a prude
You should check out My Immortal or Call me when you're sober, My Immortal is one of the most beautiful song by Evanescence
watch the video again and listen very carefully from the start
Amazing band. love all your reactions. please can you do more werid al reactions missing them please keep up the great work
They’ve been around forever but I still love Evanescence
Evanescence is the definition of theatrical lol they’re a huge chunk of my childhood. The lyrics are about an abusive toxic relationship by the way. Gotta love the conviction in Amy Lee’s voice. Best frontwoman vocalists of all time. Her best vocal work is in her slow, melancholic songs. You gotta react to ‘My Immortal’ and ‘Hello’
L check out broken by seether ft amy lee from evanescence. Great track.
Seen Evanescence/Amy Lee Live, it was a amazing concert.
I literally love her and her voice
I love love love evanescence. Amy Lee's voice is amazing in anything she sings. My fave is good enough and my immortal, also nobody's fool. Give those a try. You might like them.
Thanks for reacting to this one, I completely forgot about this song and haven't heard it in years; not since I used to go out to JFK's night club in Union street back in the day, spray my hair blue (I was 19, that's my excuse), and get drunk to music like this all night on a Friday, lol. My Immortal is a great song of theirs. You'd have to get the towel ready, that you used to wipe tears away in the Queen videos though.
I have already liked your channel with your reactions about Queen and my beloved Freddie (please, don't stop doing it cause there are many more beautiful and underrated songs you might haven't heard yet 🙏🙏🙏) and now with Evanescence! Thanks for the memories! Amy Lee, the lead singer is amazing... And yes, you have to listen to "My Immortal" and "Bring me to life"... Keep on! 👍👌
Evanescence is amazing. I love their newest music from the Synthesis album. I saw them in concert last September and she is just as amazing live. From Synthesis my two favorite songs are Imperfection and Hi-Lo. Both of these songs have awesome music videos. An older favorite is Good Enough, which sends chills up my spine and the music video is On Fire :)
Love this reaction! So glad ypu have an appreciation for everything in this!
Honestly abusive relationships no matter what kind have always been a thing. But now more vocalized and publicized like you pointed out. However I believe that women and men are accepting this a lot more. It's very sad because we as people don't tend to see our own worth, that is an all time low between what we want/deserve and how we let people treat us. It's very sad. And I, myself, have been there.
I'm a year late to this reaction and havent read the comments, but if I recall, she wrote this song to warn her stubborn sister about the demands and pressure of stardom.
Amy was like 18-19 at this time. Not only did she write and perform this great song, but even the modeling and lip synch under water is no easy task at all even for professional models. She's just a natural performer.
My favorite song of theirs was Everybody's Fool.
Amy Lee has one of the most amazing voices in metal. Love me some Evanescence, my fav.
I will like it while I can haha.
Love it!
Yo TMG! Amy Lee was my first love lol. I fan-boyed over her sooo hard 😂 I got to meet her when she played in Atlanta and I’ll never forget it
Amy Lee IMO has one of the most beautiful and haunting voices EVER! If she doesn’t make the hair on your arms stand up you need to make sure you have a pulse.
God bless the amazing Amy Lee. No other voice like hers. Beautiful lady too.
If you do another Evanescence song, consider Made of Stone, The Other Side or What You Want.
If the zombie apocalypse happens you can come chill with me and my family, we can grow our own food and hunt for meat.
Seen them live! Amy can really sing sounds amazing!
Great job!!!
Amy Lee wrote and sang a song for a movie called Voices from the Stone called Spaek to Me. It's about the love of a mother for her child
For the first time women are allowed to be hurt, angry and triumphant all in the same video. It's freeing and empowering.
Her cover of Going to California is worth listening to
Evanescence - sweet sacrifice
This vid REALLY reminds me of the movie the devil's advocate. Creepy.
Zombie apocolypse. Love it lol
Oh man I love Amy lee and I am so glad you are reacting to her songs I’ve been a big fan for years. Oh and I love watching your other videos too my husband gets a big kick out of them as well.
Evanescence "Bring Me To Life"
Axe throwing? Hell yeah. I was the axe thrower for the Ren Fair in my area, then got the chance to travel for about 3-4 years as an axe thrower (kinda like joining the circus, until I had to grow up :) )
I still love to throw, but sadly I seldom have the time and my skills had degraded a LOT, lol. But I can still win some serious prizes when the Fair comes back to town. Axe throwing is a lot of fun, glad to see someone else has enjoyed it as well.
(I think I may be posting under my daughter's name, if so suffice it to say I am her Dad)
Actually L, the Evanescence song you're referring to that got taken down is titled "My Immortal"
Her voice is definitely angelic, but you can't appreciate the full scope of her vocals until you hear her live.
My favorite performance of hers is Tourniquet Live.
Bring Me To Life, Tourniquet (which to me is their darkest song), Whisper, Haunted, pretty much every song on Fallen. Sweet Sacrifice, The Only One, Lies, Understanding, Even In Death, The other side...they have a lot!
Domestic violence has always happened. We now have social media & ways to get the word out about it now.... It's talked about now more than ever.... Video was hot... Love it
Bring me to life!!!
Can you please react to Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of heaven. I know I mentioned it in another video but I would love to now what you think about it. Love your videos
Yeah but then he needs to react to the official video cause the video is just REALLY powerful
@@Metalhammer1993 agreed
I've reacted to this song already but unfortunately it was taken down
@@TheMatthewsFam that's too bad. Your thoughts on it? The video really makes the songs message a thousand times stronger, doesn't it?
@@TheMatthewsFam that's Ok I just wanted to know what you think about it. Thank you for letting me know. Still love your videos so keep up the good work. 😸
Yo L, have ur queen react to My Immortal by evanescence with u. I’d like to hear her take if she wouldn’t mind.
Check out their latest work with Imperfection or Hi-Lo. I gotta say before you check them out, these last 2 songs are from an orchestral/ electronic (trihop/industrial like beats) album that they did called Synthesis, is not their usual hard rock songs but they totally made 2 amazing songs, it has a 30 piece orchestra behind them playing a theremin, electric drums, synth bass and some guitars with synth pedals so it's a great musical experience.
Wait wait wait you're doing Evanescence now???
Oooooh boy do I have suggestions for you :)
What I think would be really cool is if you reacted to some of the songs she did on the Synthesis album - the old vs. the new. It's so interesting how some of them get a totally different feel, and especially for the older ones, how much her voice matured. The Synthesis version of My Immortal is stunning. The End of the Dream and Lacrymosa also get some of my favorite transformations.
I would love to see your reaction to: "Through the fire and the Flames" by DragonForce.
Nate Culver Does anyone listen to Dragonforce these days?
@@taoist32 not really, but his reaction to a first listen would be interesting.
Most definitely worth a reaction to it
I mean, if we're doing this you may as well listen to one of her most underrated songs. It's called "hello". Vocals out of this world. 🎶
I grew up with the lead singer, Amy and her sister in arkansas. Was pretty good friends with her sister but knew Amy too.
Evanescence MVs and Linking Park (especially Meteora album) MVs. Rabbit Holes of Amy Lee and Linkin Park please!!
I'm so glad you like these so far. Evanescence and Linkin Park were the CDs I carried around in middle school along with Eminem, Green Day, and Panic at the Disco!
Dude, have you not checked out Korn's Serenity of Suffering? that is one masterful album.
Love your channel BTW.
A lot of her newer stuff refers to her relationship with the singer of Seether, and he has a few songs about her
Did you know that Evanescence started in my home state of Arkansas they met at a talent show he was playing a Meatloaf song on the piano and she approached him because she liked Meatloaf too
we need more evanescence, skillet, jinjer, uninfected rain n nightwish on the channel bro🤘✊🔥🔥🔥😈
L, my man you also need to react to some Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, My Chemical Romance, And Breaking Benjamin
I miss this band so much..
I would have liked to see that reaction. Damn. Wasn’t My Immortal the song she wrote about a child she lost? It’s been so long since I’ve heard it.
It would be cool to see you React to Linkin Park: Somewhere I Belong or some of there Hybrid Theory album
It's socially acceptable to speak about it more than it used to be but we've always had deep dark breakup songs and we older people need to realize that there's generation of generation after generation following us that are newly broken they haven't been through what we've been through yet so it seems repetitive but love is repetitive? Love your channel & happy 2 B part of the Fam!
Bring back some more FFDP too!!
Wash it all away
Blue on Black
And good enough is excellent
