Well if that ain't the truth " somehow I always miss when their wings are broken". Such a metaphor for a great personality trait...not seeing another's "broken" pieces
Loved the hoarder series because the treasures that were found wouldn't be thrown away or placed in a dump somewhere. It was nice to see beautiful things appreciated again.
That house wasn’t nearly as bad as some of the ones I’ve seen on A&E’s “Hoarders” show, despite being abandoned for 20 years. The worst are the animal, food, and urine/feces hoarders. Now THAT’S gross! 🤢 To me, the house Jocelyn was at was just cluttered with a lot of nice things & then left to time & raccoons - nothing that can’t be washed away. Lol
YAY, feel the same….glad someone said it and that I was not the only one! I actually watched the entire hoarder series but after episode 4 I watched the rest without sound and fast forwarded to plow through. I am a completists so my OCD made me finish the series. Had to mute because I was afraid for my sanity if I heard the “BAKELITE!” scream one more time. Love this episode and happy to be back hunting and learning ❤️
I watched one and though it was fascinating it was also anxiety inducing. Made we want to go clean rather than have a relaxing time chilling and youtubing.
Suggestion: Instead of trying to find 40% of $60 and then subtracting, just multiply by 60%. So you can probably do 60% x $60 in your head and arrive at the price of $36. Maybe this is what you already do but having been a math teacher I always try to teach a simpler way.
I always just figure 10% first by moving the decimal over one spot to the left (in the price) and then multiplying that by the first number of the percentage off. Example: 40% of 57.50? 10% of $57.50 is 5.75, and since it's 40% off you just multiply by 4. When I'm really math lazy, I'll estimate (6×4) which tells me it'll be less than $24. Not a math teacher, but I waitressed for years and this was how we'd split tips after our shifts. The best part is: if you know your times tables, you don't even have to multiply because you should have all of the factors memorized.( I hope I explained that right ) Edit: I forgot to mention you still need to subtract your result from the price. $57- 24ish= 33ish. Easier yet, once I know the percent off, I'll just figure out what the remainder is to save a step. 40% leaves you with 60%. So $57.75 becomes 5.75, multiplied by 6 tells you the price is less than $36. I promise it's not as complicated as I just made it sound- this is why I'm a waitress and not a teacher!!! 🤪
I’m so thankful for whatever adventure you post, though I’m still hoping for digging through more of that basement & getting upstairs at the hoarder house. 🤞🏻☺️
Who is this person buying figurines? Oh, wait she found more good stuff too. Loved all the hoarder house videos. Good to see you back in the current day, out doing what you do best.
The most valuable Weller pottery are the early, hand decorated pieces. After 1935, the company made only molded pottery until the company closed in 1948. The later items are considerably less valuable than the older pieces made from the late 1800’s to the early 1930’s.
I really hope that the hoarder house series gave you some time off and breathing space in your video schedule. I enjoyed it, but am very grateful to see a return to shopping. Thank you for all you do! 💙💙💙
Your hair looks very pretty! I really like that colorful small vase, Armorer? Can’t spell the cabinet is beautiful. Love the Angel holding the Candle, man decanter, yellow glass basket in the vase where the carnival bowl was at,pink opalescent bowl, Mexico candlestick
That CARNIVAL BOWL was really cool...I was not into Carnival Glass until just recently. But now I LOVE IT! ...The blue paper mache bird was cute. Too bad they did not have two birds because those normally sell well AS A PAIR.
Wow, I was more claustrophobic in some of those booths than in the hoarder house! 🤣😂 cool stuff. I’m out of practice now, no real surprises. Everything is just sitting there right out in open. Got to get used to this again.
Hello gorgeous!! I'm soi happy to see you're shopping again. Don't get me wrong I absolutely loved the horder house series. But I soo enjoy your shopping trips. How are the kid's? I feel like it's been months since I've seen them. Hi Ashton and Juliette 😊 I hope you're doing well and have been behaving for your Momma. Santa will be here before you know it 🎅☃️
no no no you cut it too short] I was having such a fun time shopping with you there. Nice items and good prices The was a peridot green necklace in a one of the glass cases that I would buy, had I the chance; you couldn't hear me through the screen, but that's all right.
Day of the dead made in Mexico candles are cool I seen some awsome bead work animals and skulls so lovly evan though thought provoking of day of the dead I think its wonderfull
The clean out house was an awesome series! Now back to your original programming... which is always great, too. Since Gus is cataloging everything, is he going to be selling items via auction? TFS all of your adventures!
Hi Jocelyn. Loved seeing all the treasures with you. Sorry I haven't seen your vlog for a couple of weeks but I been down with a really bad chest infection. So I am going to catch up with you. Marie
I have a set of a little Christmas couple from the late 70's. I believe they are a kissing couple if you put them together. They are puckering up for a smooch!
The pink footed bowl is not Duncan Miller. It is Fostoria Seascape. Duncan Miller usually has about 6 circles on the bottom Depending on size of pieces and patterns. See Duncan Miller Canterbury.
to do 40% off price , take 10% of price and multiply by 4, then subtract that amount from the marked selling price OR half the marked price divided by 2 and subtract that amount from marked price. To figure how much 75% off is just divide the marked price by 4 and that will be your price. Voila
@@sheilastewart5662 Of course you can take 10%, multiply by 4 and then subract that from the original price. Works well. But if you take 40% off the original price you only have to pay 60% of it, right? If you just calculate that you don't need to substract and save that step. 2 ways get you the the same result, but one is a tiny bit shorter. :)
@@LWTUA120609 you are correct just didn't write that one down. I just think it is easier with odd numbers if you don't have a calculator on a phone using the 10%. So we are both correct in the whole scheme of it, but thanks for your explanation. I use the 10% most of the time as it is a fast and easy way for me in my mind. Have a good day

I just couldn't get into the hoarder series, so I'm so so glad you're back to shopping in clean places. I love to watch you look for treasures.
I feel the same way. Some good stuff from the house but pretty yucky too!

I just found a 1976 Annalee deer for $3 at a local thrift store and sold it for $32.50 on EBay it was in perfect condition for its age.

Yes, I'm so glad you're back going to stores also. Hoarder houses are not my thing.

I love your hair!
Get your kids a tree they can decorate. They would love that. Let them pick the tree they like too!
I like your dark hair.😃
I see a lot of cobalt blue, red and green depression glass but you never look at it. Is it not worth anything?
Some of it is, but I don’t know it well enough to distinguish between the valuable pieces and the not valuable pieces.
