people need to realize that if your getting fomo on something then you have already missed out, the ship has left the harbor and if you swim after it chances are you will just drown. its almost always a better idea to just wait for the next ship to pull up and jump on it before it leaves the harbor.
I never pay that much for any one thing, ever. If something has gone over $150 I consider it lost to me forever and I move on. I don't like to stress about my investments, and the singles market fluctuates too wildly for me to even consider spending that much on one card, if I spent $500 on a PSA 10 alt art and then saw that card drop to $250 a month later I'd probably cry. I only collect booster boxes and the occasional ETB and I have never to this day lost money on any of them, ever.

I bought so much battle styles about a month ago.. hahaha people thought I was tripping but the value was there at 100$ a box… 3 years old… I really didn’t think too hard about it. I really appreciate you bringing up alt arts crashing because it was a reality check for a lot of folks who’ve since forgotten. Great vid 😎
The video was very entertaining. I laughed a lot lol. You guys all warned us not to purchase as these prices boomed. I didn’t have the money to make the play so I was safe. People don’t fomo and buy when things are low and not when they sky rocket. Eh this is another lesson for collectors to remember.

I've been buying swsh alt arts since the start, then grading my best copies, want to get all of them in a psa 10 if possible. The only expensive ones im missing now is the Rayquaza vmax and Blaziken vmax, should have pulled the trigger earlier but im happy to wait

Slabs always riskier than sealed. That being said probs still well up vs the lows
im still up on moonbreons. they were 700-800 for psa10s when I was buying in the winter
. Try finding even a raw for that price im not in panic one bit. But very glad I bought alot of different cards as it seems like one of them is always running. From swsh, to sv, now sm.

Crazy because I saw the alt art for Sylveon Vmax from Evo skies go UP by $60 in one day… guess micro analyzing small graph changes on a low liquidity item like Pokémon cards means you can extrapolate LESS info than you would like to. Cool video idea but this kind of analysis is usually baseless if you know how monetary graphs work

This channel is a hobby for me. Anyone who knows how to read a chart knows these charts are mickey mouse. There's just so much info you don't have. There are cycles and clear trends, though. The freaking out when prices drop is just as bad as the people who bought high…they will make their money back and more eventually. I personally have only been buying sealed product for the last 2 months. I paid pretty high for some evolving skies ETBs but I am very confident I’ll make my money back. Also don’t like how we don’t talk about real world stuff affecting the market. When Ukraine was being invaded or the stuff in the Middle East was going down, nobody was buying pokemon. Plus the economy was just bad for over a year.
Little kids are going crazy for pokemon seen it at target 🎯. 10 years from now these will be unobtainable

It's actually not at all, it's a mid as hell set with one heavy hitter. I'm not sure why he brought it up like it's doing something, I'm looking at prices right now and it's still only going for around $240 AUD, I paid $169 for mine when it came out over three years ago. That aint any kind of gains I'd be happy about in more than three years, better off buying brilliant stars or lost origin, even fusion strike those sets are definitely shooting upwards.
