Stewart Golf: Coming soon!
Best of luck to Phillip on his journey to become a pilot. Seems like a quiet, unassuming and likeable chap.
That what you you want your pilot to be if you have serious problems up in the sky!
Obviously rich as well, cost about 50,000 to train as an airline pilot 👍
@@gregknowsbest Many pilots have their training costs covered by their employers
@@jdmansec name them then
@@gregknowsbest It's free in some European countries, idk about Ireland though
11:30 "Gets easier from here, doesn't it?" "Yeah, yeah....not really." LOL
That course looked amazing. The video quality and those drone shots put a lot of tv productions to shame. Best of luck to Philip on his journey.
My late grandfather would tell me stories of playing here, that would’ve been for him, in the 80’s I imagine.. a few years back he gave me his course ball-marker he had kept all those years.. He said he played horribly and that it was a hard course lol.. I enjoyed watching this and picturing him out there hacking away..
Nice comment - good memories
Looks like a great course…too bad we didn’t get to see it!
I played Enniscrone a few years ago in the month of April. We got sun , clouds, wind, rain, hail , sleet and snow and THEN, we moved on to the second hole😂😂😂. And I’m actually not even joking . My two favorite links courses are Waterville and Enniscrone, both on the Wild Atlantic Way but miles apart. Love the videos
I played college golf at Illinois State in the early 90s. My Junior year we took our Spring Break trip to the SW coast of Ireland. The day after shooting 74 at Waterville in 30mph winds, we played Ballybunion... Constant sideways rain in 40-50mph gusts. Truly unplayable conditions. My foursome had to make a 3 man wall to block the wind on the elevated 13th tee to just be able to stand up to hit our drives. We decided to skip 14-17 and walked to 18 to finish. If I'd kept score and finished the round I don't think I would have broken 110. Such a gorgeous course and a nightmare playing memory. Thank you so much for sharing this video so I could look back at the true beauty of this magnificent golf course. Tom Watson says it's his favorite course in the world.
First thing I noticed was the Irish colors off the drive tracer on the first tee box. love those little details. Keep up the amazing content Pete
My Dad had life membership of Ballybunion from early 70s and i have been privileged to play there many times over the years its such a special place that any golfer should really try and visit atleast once in their lifetime.
@@Johnobrien27 If you tried to play that track without a caddy you would spend hours looking for your golf ball . Phillip was a great walking talking GPS.
Best golf content on You Tube bar none, can’t understand why you don’t get many times the likes and subscribers… keep up the great work guys 👏🏼
Least you didn’t shank it on the 18th and hit the pro shop window 😂😂😂 I’ll never forget it 🙈
Peter wanting a hug from his caddie after his excellent drive on the 13th was really funny. Phillip was a good sport.
These videos are so well done. Very enjoyable.
Must have been one of the only days it didn’t rain at Ballybunion in 2024, I’ve played it 11 times and it was driving rain every-time. A links course doesn’t get that green without copious amounts of agua
It was funny watching the panic set in at the start of the round when the realisation hit that it could end up as a cricket score. But, fair play, it was a good battle to get it back on track and post a respectable score on what is a proper track. Great video. The whole Irish series has been a superb watch.
It's funny. I thought this was like more of the 'old Pete' not playing wise, just how he was mentally and his reactions to the shots. Lately I thought he's been way more chilled and probably more importantly golf wise going along a shot at a time. I know content creators have to talk as they play but it's gotta be a distraction. It's as if the more shots go astray the longer the next shot description gets. Can't be easy to play savage at same time always too.
What a track tho🤩
Best advice an old golfer can give you Peter: If you have the time to do a run, or to do stretching and flexibility work, do the latter. Also: My lower back was a problem until I really worked on lengthening my hamstrings.
Good Advice
31:32 underrated hilarious exchange 😂
I must say Peter, you and your crew do THE BEST job of presenting each hole of a course. The aerials are just wonderful every course. Cheers to you all and hope that back loosens up.
Ok, you've done Lahinch, Old Head, and Ballybunion. All I need to see is Waterville and you've replicated my Irish tour! Love your videos as they capture the courses way better than any of my camera shots could.
good luck Phil, have a blast. What another beautiful course in Ireland
The tip you gave at 46:08 is genius so simple but makes so much sense watches every minute of it and the bromance was exquisite 👌⛳️
One of my greatest golf experiences in my life! Played it 2016. Amazing views, That’s what Links Golf is all about. I enjoyed every second of this video!
...I'm diggin' this funky music.....
Another fantastic vid Pete. Imagine being a member at a place like this and being able to play it whenever you want!
I had a complimentary round here, after not playing for about 5 years at least. Rekindled my love for the game, been playing regular ever since.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning - I LOVE the 80s vibe music for both record breakers and like, during the drone footage, etc. I don't know where you guys find this stuff bit it's excellent haha keep it up
Pete posesses a beautifully smooth swing. Same as the video - beautifully shot and produced. This channel is top notch
Your videos are so great Pete! You and your team do the highest quality content and editing. The drone and camera work, the graphics and overlays, it's all just top notch stuff.
Hope you enjoy The Open this week! You're killing it, Pete! 💪🏼
Edit: If I were you, I wouldn't worry myself too much with trying to diagnose swing troubles here. As others have mentioned, you just seemed like you were trying to deal with quite a bit of tightness in your back. Looked like it maybe kept you from committing all the way on certain shot types this round. Still a solid round, nothing to apologize for here.
Peter - I love the change in your game this year! Thank our Lord and Savior of Golf Mr. Padrick Harrington for stepping in!
Wow. Didn’t think a course could be better than Old Head, but BB has done it. Nice round, Pete and well done and good luck to young Phillip!
I played here just last weekend in a local interclub match.. What an amazing course, some unbelievable shots.. It's a mental and physical test. Breathtaking experience all the same.
Class video 🇮🇪
Congratulations on a fantastic edit of an unbelievable vlog . Humour, drama, dialogue and mind blowing scenery. Thank you ❤
Played here this morning my father in law is a member and I'm waiting myself for a call for membership. Best of luck Phillip on your journey and the you yourself peter your video did do this course justice
37:00 The most deserved hug
Ballybunion GC is gorgeous even in the rain. The town has pubs that are old style, bringing you back in time. Go if you can.❤
Really enjoyed you pushing the ball out to the rough so we could get better views of the water as your shot hit the greens. Way to take one for the team Pete😊
With a swing that pure it is amazing you are always under par. Of course you never seem to place the same course twice. That’s not easy either . Love to watch 🎉
Golf is hard and thank you
Played here in March 1990. 3 of us with handicaps of 5, 11 and 13 had one par between us. The starter couldn’t believe we went out and played. Despite that it was probably one of the most enjoyable rounds we’ve ever played
Truly amazing looking course with some of the most astounding views ever seen. Best wishes philip the sky is not the limit it is just the beginning.
26:56 “huge amount of pain killers” 😂😂
Great to see you in Ireland again, Pete. Hope you enjoyed your stay beyond the course too. Ballybunion looks tremendous in that video.
What a beautiful looking golf course! Immaculate! And when it comes to the lower back pain Peter, I can absolutely relate. Every round I struggle to keep it together with every swing. May be time to go get it seriously checked out my man.
Production values are next level. Well done, Peter and team. It's like watching golf Top Gear (that's intended as a compliment lol)
What an absolutely amazing looking course. I'm only at hole 7 and this is already bucket-list worthy!!!
Gd luck Phillip. Tough course Pete but I've seen u play soooooo much better
Pete, I gotta say that all my best rounds start with pars, birdies, or eagles.
My last skins game on our little executive course started with an eagle in fact. It didn't win the skin, but it saved it. I shot 8 under with just a single bogie on the card.
The moral of the story is play a shorter course. 😂
Wow, those coastline holes are remarkable. Get your physical wellness in check so you can enjoy these places.
What a stunning course
Love Petes, Joey moment...."Hand twins!"
Love it Pete..loved this ireland trek, smashing golfer and more importantly a smashing bloke 👏 ❤
You’re playing way better than you give yourself credit for especially around not just difficult tests in Irish courses but on a global level , Ballybunion is a tricky tough but wonderful experience well done
Great series of videos from Ireland, not enough yt golfers come over, I'm curious if you noticed any kind of a spike in subscriber's. I know a few lads that subscribed after I recommended the Padraig Harrington vid? I'm assuming they weren't the only ones
Phillip, I'm a commercial pilot for the last 13 years. Did my training out of Waterford...any advice at all or questions on your mind, please get in touch! Would be a pleasure to help you get into the best job there is 👍
I'd be happy with 6 over, well played on a beautiful but difficult course.
Great video, been lucky enough to play it twice in a strong wind. Seemed like it was quite still in the video but hard to tell . The long par 3s and holes 2,4,5 & 6 are proper brutes in a strong wind.
Your caddy kicks ass. Very cool.
The best part of this video was the drone footage of the course which looks spectacular! We hardly saw any of it during this round....LOL!! I do feel like an expert on the Ballybunion rough ! 😂
Hi PeterI subscribed to your channel because I love golf
I love that you took the time to truly appreciate the views!
Well Peter let’s hope Phillip lands his planes on his runways better than you found fairways otherwise he will be in trouble. What a course fantastic views . Good luck Phillip on your ventures 👍🏻😊
How does this channel not have a million subscribers already?!
I know right!
Played BallyBunion 16 years ago with my son. Wonderful course and hospitality.
Peter - may I offer you some constructive criticism in the nicest way which was
given to my son from Gary Player at one of his classes in Hawaii -
Lose some weight to help the back. Well done on the video.
i love petes AURA in this video
Always quality, can't beat Kerry for golf and a quite a few other things 😀
Suffering is the need for things to be different to the way they are. A double bogey cannot be anything other than a double bogey. That is the perfection you're looking for. It has always been this way.
After 4 holes,that 74cwas looking good!
sir you seem to be a very good golfer. thank you for helping me with my game!!!
What a fantastic looking course
I feel your pain on the 4th. I was willing it in but it stopped the rot.
Get to Tralee Golf Club
The course was amazing !!
Where did chopper Finch come from for the 1st 4 or 5 holes lol😂
Good job Sky didn't view them shots before giving you a job on the range...ha ha ha🤣🤣🤣👍⛳️
Well done Pete, thanks for making me homesick, yet again! :)
Played here about a decade ago. Memorable to say the least!
Gutted I missed this , I'm a member and live across the road, if I knew you were schedules to play I would have taken the day off 😢
Same FFS
I played there in 1992 and it was 5 Irish pounds if you played with a member. Never saw my mum and dad the whole holiday!!!!!
"Really happy with that shot, but at the same time, hugely disappointed"!. Sums up golf perfectly.
Irish tracers are just top notch.
Beautiful Course. Wow. Quite sure I'll never play a course like it, so thank you for showing it to me Pete. Great content.
If i only knew you were coming. Literally looking at the course as i type this...
Beautiful golf course
Yes it was
On the range but still posting vids
The grind never stops
That intro 🔥
This dudes videos are brilliant! Hope u enjoyed ur Ireland trip mate, ur welcome back anytime 👍🏻
Why thank you
Your my favorite golf youtuber
Pete's production team.....geez!
Fabolous looking course - hope someday to get a chance to play it...
Try thermal heat wraps for your back!
Spectacular course. Another great vid. Just watching you walk looks painful 😣 Take some time and get that back sorted
I'm pretty sure if that caddie wasn't already leaving he would have after witnessing that round 😂🤦😂
To be fair to you Pete you played really well considering you were in a lot of pain so fair play to you 🙏🏌️⛳💪
The game may not have been on point but that course is beautiful
Loving the tracer ❤🍀
Looks awesome Pete however it’s obvious your back is in tatters so not surprising this run up lead to the result at open qualifying. You need to rest it for a week or so, get the Pilates and stretching in and then go again when it’s loosened up
I played that course as well. Did way better there than at Old Head, but you can't beat the views at Old Head, imo.
Excellent as always. Go and play Carne at Belmullet.
Great looper
Bring back the consistent fade Pete.
gl to your caddy
Not sure about that LAB putter. Sorry Pete but you miss more than your old 2-ball with that thing.
Four over thru three holes … thought I’d tuned into a Rick Shiels Break 75 video
The 17th is one of the best holes in golf..
I believe Tom Watson once said BB was his favourite course anywhere.
The question is... was it the best course you have played in Ireland? Looks amazing. What a day for it.
