I remember the first time I played this game. It was on a demo disc. God I miss those wonderful times. Couldn't buy a freaking demo disc without getting glued to the screen for the rest of the day. Today's games... it's a wonder if they can keep my attention for over two hours.

It's not about the games lol...now you have this wide variety of multimedia devices for gaming ,you lost the interest in gaming al together....today we have goated level games and stories but it isn't fun and curious as much as the older days when gaming was only possible Via PS devices

Even on PS2 it looks grand. TRL is definetly my childhood, but I played it on PC and later to this day on PS3.
just remembering that the emulator improve the graphics, it means that playing it in a real PS2, the graphics aren't that good.

@@GustavoMdeOliveira No it still looks great on the ps2, it’s more colourful and Lara looks better especially. And the ps2 version has more dynamic effects not seen in any of the other versions, which this emulator is missing. They made her look like plastic on the next gen versions.

@@PS2GAMER100 I’m not entirely sure, but I know that emulators can miss certain things that the original console had 🤓 emulating doesn’t always translate what properly

There's always the PC version, or PCSX2.
You can always buy one cheap PS2 hack it and play games with USB

Playing on PlayStation 2 was amazing . I still love and play the game . This is what made me love Lara croft l hope the other Lara croft games are amazing like this one . Personally l have never watched Lara croft movie but this game totally made me know Lara croft and she is amazing as heck . I wish they were still selling play station 2 games cause they would make lots of money from it . I would just buy play station 2 games but because there are no longer selling them l am forced to buy PlayStation 4 or 3 games .

How did you manage to upscale it without any screen glitch issue ? No matter what I do whenever I upscale graphics I can't see anything on screen cuz I see weird screen glitch that covers whole screen
I've just tried it on the latest PCSX2 and it looks so bad mate...
You need to use older version PCSX2 1.7.0 to fix that mate. In this video, im using 1.7.0 (dev1259).

@@xTimelessGaming I'm using pcsx2 nightly latest version 1.7.5506 with Vulkan render which is most stable from other renders. I can switch to openGL but it's still doesn't fix this weird glitch. Glitch only disappears when I set native ps2 low resolution

@@GRGCompletionist The ps2 emulator has a lot of issues. I'll suggest you to play the PC version or if you want something similar to the ps2, try the dolphin emulator.
@@Neoproxy_ yeah i know, only reason i'm playing it on ps2 is for the retroachievements and to increase my pcsx2 nostalgia library. Upscaling the game looks like it causes issues but fortunately you can still run it through software mode with no problems. It may look low res but at least it feels like the original, i may start playing it on my steam deck just so i can get used to the resolution because most if not all of the games upscale quite well with pcsx2

@@lukass7756Sorry for being late. I've done a bit of research and it seems that nightly version "v1.7.4482" doesn't have this issue in HW mode. If you want you can download that and have it alongside your library for this game in particular until they're able to resolve the issue, cheers!
