That's not someone I'd want on my team at all. How do you think that really makes all the other players feel? I mean really? Of course they're going to say he deserves it and show support, but in reality you know what they're really thinking and saying. That's not a team move and these guys are already way overpayed lets just be honest. It's a game. They're getting paid multi millions to catch a friggen ball at the end of the day. He's lucky he didn't get blacklisted by every team to teach him a lesson. At the end of the day, you're an entertainer and you catch footballs. You're not working on the cure for cancer. As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't want someone like that on my team at all. Its a cancer. What did they win with him btw? How many Superbowls did they get after paying him all that money? It's so many I can't even count.
@@Hubcapdiamondstarhalo I think they all understand that professional sports is a business first hand. Not everyone on the team is making millions, only a select few probably 10-15 out of 53. The contracts in the NFL are not guaranteed (besides the signing bonus) meaning the team can cut the player and not have to keep paying them. This is why Revis held out so many times. He had leverage and wanted to make sure he got paid what he felt he deserved. If any other player had the skill he had, they would do the same thing. Gotta capitalize while you can!

Anthony Ramos fullbacks are more common in 2019 than they were in 2010. You just don’t pay attention/only listen to narratives
TheLocalLt Nah, he just plays too much Madden. On Madden, most teams don’t have a fullback listed on the roster, but that’s because they use a backup tight end. Eric Saubert from the Falcons is a good example. He was a solid fullback last year, but he’s listed on Madden as a tight end

Cutting D. Woodhead is like cutting the hardest working person in your company. Just don't do it. Unfortunately, the sports world is more about flash than substance; teams will take a chance on a guy who showed flashes in college or for one season but doesn't do the small things. It's funny that good players get the short end of the stick for so-called "talented" players. I guess it all balances out.

Just imagine you were an NFL coach, you got close to a Super Bowl win but fell short, then years later you have a son who coaches a team to a Super Bowl win and he gives you his ring, and he basically says “I know you got close, but I won this one for you”. You may not want his ring but would still be appreciative of his loving gesture.

He's prickly, has a lot of pride, is a bit embarrassed that he's so low on the totem pole,has a lot of bravado to try to mask his sense of inadequacy. of course he cares and he's embarrassed that he's the way down the depth chart. you could tell the questions (edited out) that they interviewer is asking him, so he's touchy and defensive. I see it, when I saw the interview. I read the comments first, and expected something different. The fact that they did not keep Woodhead shows how flawed their thinking was. In their mind they kept players who had not earned a spot because in their mind Woodhead was never supposed to be a starter even if he earned it.

Mike Westhoff was so underrated as a coach, he called Danny Woodhead and he lead that special teams to greatness. He reminds me of Joe Gibbs when he's speaking to the room too.
Honestly the best special teams coach in history...but nobody knows him because Special Teams.

Of all the fringe players , they cut the guy who had the best career lol. Rex’s biggest flaw was evaluating offense. Respect to Woodhead. From undrafted to playing 8 years in the league. He had a really good 2015 for my Chargers.

His Dad had the same flaw. Buddy was a fantastic talent evaluator but he was never able to build an offense around Cunningham.
You also have to remember the things that motivate a guy.. being cut etc

Danny Fuckin' Woodhead. Jets made a mistake to not keep hold of him just like Nebraska made a mistake to not offer him a scholarship so it's not the first time someone has had his potential greatness within their grasp only to pass on the opportunity. He proceeded to tear it up at Chadron State after Nebraska passed and made a great career for himself in the NFL after the Jets passed. One of the best players the 308 has ever produced.
