    Good video...thanks for the tip about cooking the dough first. I always thought it would be hard getting it out after the pizza is finished, but will try it. I laughed with the banter back and forth...makes the video more real and fun...

      Thanks Steve. Like Amy said. She messed up a few "pizzas', if you could call them that. The dough was just too raw and the toppings were killed. Plus you can't get raw dough out of the basket without making a mess. She finished them in the "real" oven. LOL. But as you saw, a pre-cooked crust works much better. Glad you enjoyed the video. We appreciate your comments. We tried to make it fun. It's an air fryer (fun?) and pizza (fun). but can't take it too serious.

      Thanks DiDi. I hate most pizza chains because they are garbage. We have some local places that aren't bad. But we just don't eat out much anymore, and especially since COVID raised his ugly head. So once he's slayed, we might go back to eating out. There's some new places that might be nice to try. Yes, anytime you can cook for yourself and add whatever topping you want and as much as you want and not get nickel and dimed for each one.....then yup. Gotta do it yourself. Glad you enjoyed. Take care and God Bless!!!!!

    Hey Amy & Eric! Loved the video! And especially the recipe! I love making homemade pizza, but I make the dough in the Breville. It just makes it so much easier. I forgot what recipe I use, it’s like the Food Network or Williams-Sonoma, idk. Well Lawdy that Cosori are fryer does sound like a tornado from inside a shelter! It brings back nightmares of good ol’ Dixie Alley.😂🤣 Well, I’ve been using the Instant Pot Egg Bite Mold that I got at BB&B for everything! It’s so useful! You should really use yours. I have one tip though, if yours has a silicone lid, than go ahead and use the lid in the IP. But if it has a plastic lid, than you want to cover it with foil or it will melt. Happy Cooking & God Bless Y’all!

      You know Cash, if I didn't know any better, I'd guess your age is like 40 or 50 based on your cooking experience. You rattle off some of the things you cook. It's amazing. Keep it up. So you're saying plastic is not good. LOL. Yeah, you'd hope the manufacturer would think of that. We did the pizza from scratch to see how hard it would be. Some people LOVE their air fryer, and at least one person I know doesn't use his house appliances (stove and oven) at all. So it 'can' be useful. LOL.

    Why don't pizza restaurants precook their dough? Some do. And then they can put it on a chain conveyor oven like you see at warehouse clubs. But how do pizza restaurants use fresh dough they don't precook? It's the oven. Industrial pizza ovens use a heated metal sheet and the pizza sits right on that sheet, so it gets cooked from every direction. Home ovens can't do that. Also, home ovens are much colder. A restaurant pizza oven is running up to 1000 degrees.

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook Před 3 lety +1

      Good points. Or a brick oven can also be very hot. An air fryer is good at heating up frozen food and crisping some food. Not all that great when it comes to baking from underneath the food. But a home oven can still do a decent job, if cooked on a pizza stone. I wonder if they'll make one for air fryers? LOL. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it.

    If you use a block of cheese, and shred/grate it yourself, you will have a "cleaner" product. The shredded cheeses you buy from the store, are filled with anti-caking-agents and whatnot. I have a shredding/slicing attachment (3 different options) for my Kitchen Aid mixer, which I use to shred cheese, carrots, cucumber etc. all the time.

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook Před 3 lety +2

      Yes, you are 100% correct. I use a box grater if I have a block of cheese. I used to use a Salad Shooter, which I loved for years. Was my "goto" tool. If I'm shredding a lot, i'll bust out the Cuisinart food processor because that's what I'm used to. Amy might have something for her mixer. Seems like KA makes something to do everything. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it.

      Cj Smart to be honest with you, I wouldn’t. Maybe if you have the Pro Line 7 or the Commercial 8. Possibly the Pro 600, but definitely not the Artisan. It would tear the motor the pieces. I make mine in my food processor. If you have one, I would suggest making it in that. Glad I could help.😁😁😁

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook Před 3 lety

      I don't think Amy's used the bread machine recipe with a mixer. But as long as you can make some tasty dough, then that is preferred over the dough in a tube. Which mixer you getting?

    • @EricLearnstoCook
      @EricLearnstoCook Před 3 lety

      We usually recommend the bread machine. Probably for the same reason Cash brought up. A Pro 600 can probably handle it, but it's too easy to just toss the ingredients in the bread machine and not worry about it.

      Eric Learns to Cook Maybe either the Classic Plus, Artisan, or maybe Ultra Power Plus.
      I’m not writing off the Bowl Lift models like that Pro 600 model. I’ll be surprised if I find a Bowl Lift Model at an affordable price.
      But right now, I just want to start off with a KitchenAid Tilt Head Stand Mixer.
