3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films about poverty in the Philippines is to spread awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppressions, repressions, abuses and exploitations:
1st: We have to be aware.
2nd: We have to pay attention.
3rd: We have to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.

Mark the truth is these people use to nothing good so they will never valued or appreciate what you have done for them how can bathroom look that dirty?
The first bathroom on this video.... That community should have a party thrown for them or something because they are actually taking care of the bathroom you gave them. It was nice and clean and well taken care of. I wish I had the money to send for them to have a food party to be thrown. I got a 7 day notice this week on the 1st my rent is going up $555.00 a month and I am not sure that I will be able to pay it.... Crazy. My rent has always went up every year but only between $30-45.... I don't know what I am going to do. But bravo to that community for keeping their bathroom nice!
@@dawnkeener9836 I agree, first bathroom pride of ownership. Mark should stain the concrete floor, my friend did it and it's CHEAP and long lasting. I've been renting in the same place since 2011. Owner didn't raise me for years but lately it's gone up $275 BUT it's still $800 below current market rents in my condo building. She could raise my rent to current prices but she bought the condo when it was $100,000. They are selling for over $425,000 so she's made her money on price appreciation so she gives me a nice price on rent.

I live outside of Austin Texas and there's so many California people moving here and everyone knows that they had million dollar homes there so now everyone here thinks that their house is worth millions of dollars and it isn't. It's gotten out of hand here. In the last 3 years the percentage of people here from California is 34%. That means out of every 100 people 34 of them moved here from California. Our traffic has gotten crazy too. When it used to take 30 minutes to get toy son's work now it takes over a hour... Sometimes over a hour and a half. Saturday and Sunday used to be easy driving and now the weekend is worse than m-f traffic. SMH.
@@danielhackney7806 oh and I have been here 11 years myself.( In this home).. My rent went from $995 to $1,547. Plus $30 trash fee and plus water. So I was paying right under $1,150 now I will be paying a little over $1,650.... I'm on SSDI and I don't know if I can do it.

I think the single mom with the three boys maintained her house very well . Grandma's house was well maintained also just a bit wear and tear. Her bathroom is what the grandson can help her with. The community bathrooms needed some families to help each other with the cleaning up etc. But one or two were well maintained i must say. May God continue to bless you all🙏👍.
Giving them a house doesn't means we can change their habits and way of thinking. That's why many houses look dirty. But again even tho mark and team helped them, they also couldn't dictate how these families should lives. It beyond their control. Anyways thansk to mark and team also all the contributors too for helping these families
The toilet should be clean up in 5 days to maintain cleanliness.The surrounding of the toilet should be planted with flowers to spruce it up and more pleasing to the environment.
More expensive up front but tile floors are a better option than that cheap roll out decorative floor covering. Its like covering a floor with duct tape.
@Ivan Peressini, I have a friend who lives in an old condo circa 1925 building with concrete flooring. He stained his concrete on the CHEAP and it looks great and easy to maintain.
A waste of money.
That's what you get when you give things to people for free. I am not saying that they do not deserve it, but that is what happens when one is used to living in squalor. I am glad to see that the one bathroom is well taken care of.
First bathroom was spotless. She most certainly appreciates the blessing to her! The communal bathroom looked better than the rest of the in house bathrooms! Bless You Team❤️

It seems like the bathrooms went down quickly from lack of proper cleaning and care. It must be challenging to keep things clean in that environment. Although one family really took good care of their bathroom. It was really clean and well-kept.

the first bathroom was so clean...first thing first is the bathroom should always clean..but others they have no compassion..its filthy and very dirty.
Grandmas house looked good, just flooring. Lady with three little girls kept hers nice. But The lady in green and the community outhouses need cleaning badly 🤮 just seeing the rooms and walls is enough and I’d rather not see inside the toilet.

The double CR is so dirty,They should take turns to clean it.Is it bieng flooded,why is the floor and walls so dirty?They need to build up the front if flood water is going inside of CR.,and wash w add all and floor with soapy bleach water weekly.Let it last longer.

The first bathroom was really nice and clean... You can tell they take care of it. I think that the other one's should clean it daily.... If there's several families using it it should be cleaned daily.... Why can't they pick a day of the week and that is their day to clean. I mean if 7 people or 7 families are using it that's one day a week... That's not hard. SMH.
with the original video i wondered why those cows are on that spot . not good with all the cow dung hence why are they not in a field .

The first bathroom (only bathroom no home) you can tell they keep that one clean and can tell they take care of it.

Hi mark. My advise is you should put the tiles when build the toilet and table top kitchen to make it more durable and clean.
Mark, if you make containers out of amakan and line thep with plastic film, you could film them with shredded dry leaves and maybe use them as an insulated ceiling. Or maybe as roof insulation. Maybe 4' x 4' x 8" or some convenient dimensions.
You can make concrete flooring look GOOD on the cheap. Either Concrete paint or Concrete stain. My friend used Concrete stain on his interior condo concrete floors. He lives downtown Los Angeles in an old 1925 building. Back in those days the flooring was bare concrete. His concrete stained floor was CHEAP but looks GREAT and it's durable and EASY to maintain. Linoleum flooring just isn't going to hold up over time. It's obvious by your video.
Seems whatever was used on the floors were peeling and wore out fast.
but should last a bit longer due to every one taking off their shoes i would have thought .
@@sweeta17 Maybe there was heavy foot traffic, everyone in the community wanted to come over to the new house. That floor covering looked real cheap. A nice concrete stain would hold up much better over time.

In my opinion,about the house build checking....i give 100 points to the one who looked after their CR need and tidy deserved their house. They look after the Bathroom clean,even their toilet has still a cap intact.Others fail. They are not deserving in my mind. Those who kept their Kichen area need and clean,their living area clean plus their CR are the ones who are well civilized and fresh.
Lastly,tell them frankly too clean and look after their house and CR. Its a shame to see like this,too mesy and dirty....just like public toilet...uakkkk...

Next time don't use plastic carpets just leave uncovered so that they can mop everyday n cemented floors shines after regular mopping

Should reward people with help when they care for what's given, whether it's a house, bathroom or what they use money for..You're. Just teaching them to expect handouts.

First toilet is in very good condition, the family were so neat, very appreciative family,it’s a money worth spend for this family, but other toilets wow🤥🤥 very untidy, disgusting, these people thinks money falls from a tree, i will be. Very upset if I was o e of the contributors, that the only family should received a tpreward because they look after their toilet well, it’s not fair to give other family $500, should give them a lesson, just tell them you rewarded a family that look after their houses and toilet well, and that goes to the first family toilet, show in the video, these people r comfortable/used to live in dirty house n toilets, so pls Mark don’t waste more money on them, because they don’t appreciate and be grateful for what you and your team done for them, Olive and Obet that’s the other family that deserved a new toilet and a new house, cos they r very grateful n appreciative family, I like that family

They need to be educated on the fact that if they do not keep their house and themselves clean, they will get sick and this is what causes illness and maybe even death. Perhaps, maybe they will change

It would seem we under estimated ourselves, Mark. Along with giving these people homes we should have also giving classes on hygiene & care to take care of these New Homes.. But, you know its still not to late to give them classes on hygiene & care for their house. Really, they dont know or understand because they only know one way.
And, the houses with the flooring off and holes in the walls and doors the children are being left alone in the houses and are taring them up. They need to be taught and educated as we'll not to tare up their home or they wont have a home again.
The dripping faucet should be fixed as it is wasting water. So de buhos ang toilet.
Praise God sa buhay ni Lola/Nanay 93 years old na pero malakas parin.... maganda parin ang bahay nila kaso yong ibang gamit nasira na 😢 pero naiintidinhan ko dalawang lalaki kasama nya ang anak at apo nya...iba kasi pag lalaki kasama hinde masyado marunong mag alaga ng bahay at si Lola naman matanda na.... but I'm happy to hear na naghahanap na ng trabaho ang apo nya. sana Lord makahanap ng trabaho na matino ang apo ni Lola...

Sometimes, we get a lot of hit and misses, it would seem.we missed the mark. Especially, were the restroom is in the vacinity of the cows. Without proper hegyine they are prone to illness they need to know this information. They come from a different world but through educating them they can began to live a diffrent life and preserve the work you've already done

Mark! Always install a toilet seat with a cover!! It is the second time I saw that such toilet is in a better condition than a toilet with no seat!
There were toilet seats. Mark bought toilet bowls with seats.
For some reason, they broke the toilet seats. But the 2 toilets in this video, you can see the toilet seats (not broken).

The floor covering isn't holding up as it's to thin
The floor covering is not linoleum. It's Mac Tac. We in the Western world use it to line drawers & cupboards. Concrete paint should have been used.
These people’s are used to sleeping like scavengers,it’s ashamed most people’s would take care of their home,but these folks brought shame to Mark and his crew along with viewers donations.

It is just the floor is torned down a bit easily.
Commenters were right. It would be good to have a solid concrete that can be beautiful and hold well but you do did a good job as I see you were having such floor because you care... Only it does not hold much well in most of these houses.
