- Today we take a first look at the very special Rolex GMT Master II 126711CHNR aka Root Beer. This is a beautiful watch and is the second Rolex we have added to our collection. This one is Natasha's and it look fantastic. I love the Rolex sport models on a girls wrist and wanted Natasha to get one for a while. The opportunity came up to purchase one from a Rolex AD and we couldn't resist. Hope you enjoy the video where we unbox take a close look at the details and remove the stickers!

My fiance and I are looking into a (New SS Daytona and the Day Just 41, Jubilee, Diamond Blue face) to exchange during our wedding. Fingers crossed we'll have the opportunity to purchase these gorgeous timepieces, in time for the wedding. With that being said, congrats again!

I tried it on at the AD but under those neon lights the rose gold seemed too pink for me. But when I watch videos about the CHNR it never appears this pink.
How would you describe the color under "natural light"?

I'm working towards being able to acquire a 126711 CHNR within the next few years! It's a beautiful watch and I would like for it to be my first Rolex. Also I could not help but notice the Portofino on Natasha's wrist. another beauty of a watch. (if you know what the lugs on the Portofino look like, they're very easy to spot. Quite iconic in my opinion.)

Just got mine yesterday! I love how subtle the Ever rose gold is. It’s a rare piece which is why I waited almost two years for it. I see myself definitely wearing this a lot.

I was actually very lucky and didn’t have to wait. Purchased a SD43 and then was shown the Root Beer.

How was the 4 links removed from the bracelet?
Was it 2 - 2 from each side?
Would either of you consider leaving side 6 (down) with 4 links and side 12 (up) with 4 links?
Or keep it as it is right now: side down 6 with 3 links and side up 12 with 5 links.
Which one it gonna be better in your opinion?
I’m slightly confused now because I guess both side equal by 4 links is more appealing to me however SAs said 5 & 3...
It was 4 links taken out ... i think. Not sure what they did but it was balanced and fits a bit loose. Which is quite nice on a girls wrist.The AD did it in the back room but i would think 2 from each side (?). I guess it depends what is comfortable and balanced so the watch doesn't twist around to one side when wearing. I would trust the AD. Cheers

As some said the prices of Rolex might decrease a little bit as it’s an abnormal scene since the increased prices of the release of new submariner date and discontinued GMT Hulk news last came out.

I think full gold holding its value depends on the market. In the Middle East where I am currently living full gold are hard to obtain and will hold their value. Very dependent on the market. I would not pay above retail for it. Do your best to try and source from a Rolex AD. Think investment wise it will be pretty safe. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful watch, I saw one in the window of Watch Club in Mayfair London a while ok. Cheers

Sorry for the vagueness Micheal. I was referring to James getting a 991 and I’m fairly sure that your new 911 will not be a 997.1? You two guys are my “go to” you tube posters for all things 997. I have the means to pursue a newer model but I don’t want to. I know! I’m an old school holdout. I love my power steering and analog components.

Holy it’s such a beauty.. I like the look of rose gold! But not sure if a man should wear this? What do you guys think? Can a man wear rose gold?
I bloody well hope so as my CHNR is due early next year, my wife reckoned it looked stunning when I tried the watch in the AD and I have to be honest I loved it as well, the look is very subtle not in your face like yellow gold.
It is by far the most attractive Rolex out there.
Solid gold of the blingy type is a definite no no for a man. You will look like a total douchebag. But if it's tastefully done, maybe two-tone? I tried to like this rootbeer again, but both the vintage and the new one just looks off.
Luckily it’s my wife’s watch then 😁
