In this video I'm going to show you the process of Electroplating aka Zink coating parts. If you have any questions about this process feel free to reach out for answers.
Using acid to clean small parts is okay. DO NOT USE THIS METHOD on suspension parts (control arms, sway bars, torsion bars, or coil/leaf springs). Hydrogen embrittlement will result weakening the steel and it may fail. The old standby "Easy-Off Oven Cleaner" (not the de-fanged low odor version but the Sodium Hydroxide stuff) is one of the cheapest, most effective degreasers you can buy. Just don't use it on rubber or aluminum.
