    You cannot "just turn the vent window frame" like that on earlier (pre 1992) F-Series trucks. The '87-91 Trucks have a rigid vent window frame and you have to also remove the two screws on the door frame lip that hold it in place, THEN work the whole vent window frame loose, lift and pull back slightly and THEN carefully rotate it. The later post 92 models were different and much simpler, as shown in this video. Good and very helpful video though, just that us 87-91 owners (and earlier) wont have it quite this easy... still easy though.

    Are power windows different?

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  Před 2 lety +1

      Power windows will be similar. You will need to disconnect the switch from the door panel in order to remove the door panel. However, you will still need to raise and lower the window actuator. So you will need to connect the switches for that. Otherwise, it should be a very similar process.

    hey can you do a video on how to replace a vibrating dampaning pully/ crankshaft Pully

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  Před 6 lety

      Chase Evans It’s funny you as because I want to change my water pump soon and that would be a good time to do it. However, the trick is to clear out as much of the stuff in front of pully (radiator if you can). Once everything is out of the way you can have easy and direct access. Used an impact gun to bust the big bolt holding the pully on or a breaker bar. You have to keep the crank from rotating. Then rent a set of three prong pully pullers and remove the pully. You want to take the serpentine belt pully of the front of the dampening pully in the beginning. That’s pretty much it. Hopefully that helps ya until I can get a video up!👍

    My passenger door got hit by a deer and I've got a new salvage door. My glass is tinted, the salvage is not, so I need to take the glass out of the salvage door to paint it. The glass is all the way up. How do I get the glass down to take it off the regulators with it not being connected to power on the truck? Is there a pin-out diagram I could use to hook a jump box up to the switch or motor to bring it down?

    • @TheMinuteMasters
      @TheMinuteMasters  Před 3 lety

      That's a good question. I don't have an answer for you, but I may be able to point you in the right direction.
      Assuming your driver's side door is powered and I good working order. I would use a test light and figure out the pins on that door. You would use the test light as a jumper wire between the harness and the window controls. If the test light lights up, then you have found at least a power wire. Then you could then use that information to hook your donor door up to the battery and lower the window glass.
      Otherwise if you are on Facebook, join "OBS Revolution" page and post your question there. Someone will be able to help you.
      Crazy idea, you could plug the donor door up to the driver's side harness and lower the window glass that way.

      Chase Evans So apparently the first place to check, if the cruise control doesn’t work is the cruise control deactivation switch underneath the master cylinder. If it stays on it tells the cruise control that the brakes are on all the time which keeps the cruise control off.

      It should. All the window glass for these trucks are the same. F-150 through F350 and broncos are identical.

    Ordered my glass from eBay but it came with no window crank track attached to the bottom of it. Anyone have any idea how to attach that?

      Robert Wesner That’s weird. I’d say try using an epoxy or glass adhesive to attach it.
