We stopped talking because of a misunderstanding that happened so quickly & because of it unfortunately they're not talking to me anymore. It's been a year. I chose pile two, and it accurately reflects my relationship with a friend who I turned away from when I realised that I was more emotionally invested than she was. Our friendship appeared to be very much focused on her and her needs. I found myself constantly having to pick up the pieces of her life with seemingly endless drama and issues. My hurt is that at no point during this four year period has she ever fully acknowledged or realised how much she hurt me or betrayed my trust. We are friendly but it will never be the way it was before- certainly not for me and based on her behaviour now - probably not for her either.
