Hey Emmie! Here it is November 12th and I just found your channel a few days ago. I learned of your accident earlier this year and wanted to support you, I have watched you entire channel. I am so sad about the accident and your long recovery. I really like you and your content. I'm 73 years old, a widow with stage 4 cancer. When I was in my 20's, I had 8 horses and was raising Appaloosas. I love your Leopard app because the last foal my mare had was bred to a peacock app and her filly was Leopard app too!! I still long to ride but, alas, time has taken it toll and I know I will never mount a horse ever again. The smell of the leather, hay and feed, of the horses while grooming them was something I loved,....still do. I will watch, with anticipation, your progress and pray for a full recovery. Don't give up, stay positive, as I am doing also. You are worthy of love, and I, along with many others, are rooting for you. Now, pony up, girlfriend!! ❤
I love her appy too! Such a pretty one. I had a blue-eyed brown appy once. Named him Chief. I miss my horses also. I have had a few. A palomino named Sugar, she was gorgeous. A 100% Arabian named Natasha, beautiful and loved her gait too. A TB named Bounce.. another horse named Big Boy.. he was so great and wasn’t afraid of nothing. Rifles, mountain lion, or chain saws that I knew of personally. I’m a widow too. My husband told me I’m “ too old” to ride. Right. Lol. I’m a kind of “ horse whisperer “ .. just am. Part NAI too. Cameron’s down in Tx, I’m related to. Guess it’s just in the “ Genetics” … lol . 😉 Miss the horses. A lot.
I still keep their bridle and things… Maybe one day I’ll get some more land in the country. I’d love to just have a few acres to have horse just run wild & free… just to watch them. I’ve taken care of senior horses too. Such beautiful creatures.
Just read about your accident in the local Phoenix news. Hang in there, time will help heal. I was thrown from a horse while riding in the desert at South Mountain Park, it will be 41 years on July 7, I spent a few days in Barrows Neuro, had an open fractured skull and had some long term injuries. Praying for you, hoping your outcome is as good as mine.
South Mountain stables in Phoenix, as you enter the park. I was found unconscious in the desert by my family. I tried to get the stable shut down after learning the horse I was put on had just been beaten by one of the workers. (It took off into the desert before I was fully in the saddle, otherwise I probably could have gotten the horse under control because the week before I had a similar problem at another stable and was able to gain control). I've never ridden a horse I don't know since then!
@@kathy9399❤ glad you made it through and healed up. That's an atrocity that someone beats on a horse. Or any animal for that matter. I don't like riding anymore. A guy was too rough with a horse that was already having a bad day with that guy earlier, and the horse flipped over in broke its neck. Haven't liked bronc riding since. Can't stand to watch it. Glad you're doing good.
Emmie: "I broke x, y, z, got a concussion...but overall it was a good experience!" Damn sure deserved that most grit buckle, way to stick to it, you can do anything you set your mind to.
It's been so neat watching your cowgirl journey! Thanks for always continuing to inspire us women what being independent is and always continue to grow by learning new skills and hobbies. Keep kicking ass girlie! Don't make any decisions now just rest and heal up and keep loving this bad ass life you live! ❤️ we proud of you!
I love your videos! Hope you heal quickly and feel better soon! Thank you for sharing your journey and adventures, seeing a new upload from you in my feed is always super exciting
Yes agree with below, no risk, no reward!! Very brave indeed!! Broke both my hands last year, one was the pinky (5th metacarpal) and needed surgery and several pieces of hardware. Your cast reminds me of how I looked for several months after
Your experience reminds me of he first time I tried to go surfing. I swam out, and that within it'self was a true ordeal. I tried several times to get up on the board. One time I got caught up in the wave and face planted on the bottom of the surf, and then one time I stood up on my board all of one full second and it was the most awesome feeling, like floating on a cloud. Very exhilarating until I fell off the board and one of the water fins made contact to the back of my head and ripped it open. Took a year before I tried again then the next time the very same thing happened only this time the water fin hit the back of my funny bone and cut through the wet suit. Lacerated the skin and I was very lucky that it didn't cut the tendon. So yeah, you have to be careful. Peace!
Don't over think it. Let it come to you. You've been granted time thru your injuries to do just that. I'm an old woman good at giving advice. ;) and probably need to take my own many times. May God show you the way. Just keep your eyes open for signs. It will come.
Ok! Firstly, you are beautiful and a total sweetheart! I rode a bit when I was much younger! For the entire time of more than two decades, I never got hurt or even thrown by a horse. Now, granted, I rode only my horses, and I only rode always either bareback or my western saddle. It's what my Daddy taught me. I still think it's a good idea! Not unless you are riding a bronc, or God forbid a bull! But, I have always considered myself to be very lucky and very bless!
I've seen big men go down for far less... mercy me. Idk how this channel popped up on my feed but that reminds my big expensive dogs are waiting on my 10pm walkthrough.
I contemplate every day the +/- of being a horse gal as I run a business and my family depends on me. The reality is, livestock is the great unknown. Are we really ever in control or just doing the best we can with animals. Do you Em. It’s the best version.
I feel like another school will give you time to settle into the way of things while giving you time to decide what you really want. Youve been through alot recently and that probably has alot to do with the mistakes you made at school. That got you hurt. Pluss i think youll find alot of what you learned more of a reflex the second time around. You gatta do what keeps your fire lit. 🌹💜🔥
Incredible amazing fabulous , you videos are so interesting . No matter what decession you make please know you videos are genuine. Thank you for sharing your journey an skills.
Keep ranching, that's tough enough. Rodeo is for kids, you're a professional cowgirl and you're content would suck if you were laid up on your mom's couch. Maybe if there's a women's ranch bronc in the next couple years, you can get a couple rodeos under you belt to say you did it. I rode some steers as a kid and... ironically, day two of my first rodeo I get stepped on, my spleen crushed, emergency surgery, and my 15th birthday in the hospital. Welp, I rodeod... just not for long. I went on to become a MTB contest rider, same difference, same injuries. Wish I just started raising beef at 14 instead of going rodeoing, because today I'd have a lot more experience and be a lot further along.
Hey Emmie, maybe you should try that using a contest bronc riders association saddle or a Balanced Ride saddle. There is a difference. They are different from a regular riding saddle.
Practice more to help your confidence but with a team you aim to join one day. You have to focus on your muscle memory and falling correctly. It’s so natural to want to stay safe but also push or limits! Practice til you’re certain of your final choice. There’s no harm in building those skills.
Super rad! Great vid. Is there any other rodeo activities that are less risky you’d be interested in? I would try everything and dabble before committing. Also, I’m not a rodeo gal but I am a mountain bike gal and I would never do a sport like that without a helmet. Is it not customary to wear a helmet? It looks like that vest has a neck guard on it; similar to what I use for downhill. I’m excited to see what direction you take. Heal up💕
I know that there is a learning curve and it is a progressive thing but you are already so amazing at what you do that it would be a real shame to risk injury and/ or messing up that beautiful smile by losing a few teeth. I say, lesson learned and move on.
Bronc is way more dangerous than riding bull. We use to ride bull for fun when I was younger we just had to feed and water the bulls and pull gate, clown ourselves but I never ever wanted on those dammed ponies. They'll break your arm, leg and bite the crap out of before you hit the ground.
Hola Moly soy muy hermosa cuidá tu esencia femenina .. regalate una buena conexión con nuestra madre tierra eso es bueno para tu cuerpo lastimado. Saludos desde América del Sur 🇺🇾👍🏼☮️
hi i have not follow you much but i find you inspiring and i would like to know if i can because its a age thing ... this a question that you don't have answer what the average age for women doing the rodeo thing ... seriously don't know your world but i find your story compelling, thanks
I don't care how damn ridiculous I'll look wearing a English style or a western style helmet I'm wearing a freaking helmet i would like to still be alive doing what i love to do over a few people laughing at me vs loosing my life sorry about my ranting lol it just my thought
She had a terrible accident where a horse flipped ontop of her and her skull fractured in 2 places and they might be taking her bison calf back to the Montana breeder, they sold her tack already I think so I don't think so
Girl starting colts should not ever be simular to a Bronc 😂 effort put into better colt starting would definitely benefit her better if that was the goal
I don't understand who's taking care of your pets back home this is my first video so I'm going to have to go back and watch but you didn't say nothing about who's taking care of them

There’s no business in Arizona called “South Mountain Stables”. - Do you mean Ponderosa?
@@dalenderocha2561 it was at a stable near the entrance of south mtn park, I have no idea what the name was...it happened in 1982

This video shows how supportive and awsome the rodeo community can be!!!
I know this is an older filmstrip but you are as tough as you can be cowgirl. You rock !
Holy moly! You’re a champ. I honestly don’t think I could do that. Much respect. I hope you heal up well. Stay safe....
We need a long long update! hope you're healing alright, sending love your way!
I love your videos! Hope you heal quickly and feel better soon! Thank you for sharing your journey and adventures, seeing a new upload from you in my feed is always super exciting
I feel ya, I went to a school in Texas and I’m in that inner battle !! Risk vs Reward and I’m here for it!!
So cool to see your progress with each ride 🙌
The class seemed like there was so much support and guidance, which is super cool.
Hang in there!
This is the coolest video I’ve ever seen🥹🫶🏻 you’re my hero!!! Thank you for sharing your experience🙏🏻
How supportive everyone was made me grin. You did amazing! Now I wanna try…

Wow! Seems like an awesome time. Glad you’re okay. What a tough decision. What ever decision you choose, it’ll be the right one.

Yay! Good job! I want to try this so bad! I did bull riding once but that’s is ❤ do you know how old you have to be to do it?

Just saw this. Get up, dust off, get back on. Asi es.(just like that).
You did a helluva lot better than Idid on that mechanical bronc! I was a bit “ lubricated”, and was very sore the next day!
Hell yeah 🤙🏼
And you fell on your back, hard ! You tough, women ! Wooah !
This looks like so much fun but I hope you went to a chiro after this 😅
Hi. I just came across your channel. Chin up. You're doing great. You should be very proud of yourself. I'm from Alberta Canada.

Damn girl, you goy way more balls than most of my friends. All guys by the way.
Why don’t you wear helmets while riding broncos? I don’t know anything about this sport fyi lol. Just wondering
Why happened to you

Your from Arizona ! That is hot ! Your so beautiful !
I believe bronc riding is cruel.
rodeo is overrated
