Corruption boyfriend isn’t that strong. The fan base just makes him look powerful, when in reality it’s just a skin.
Kinda. The fan base does make him look strong but he actually is strong. Being able to fully corrupt whitty but he had a insane amount of help. Corrupted bf is just a skin that was just made as a scary character but people took it to the point where they gave it a warm greeting and made alot of good corruption mode

it took him a entire rap battle to corrupt a pumpkin cosplayer and skeleton cosplayer.
I mean, even aside from the corruption of other things, being corrupted does just inherently amp you and give you something of a healing factor (Pico literally shot himself in the head and it did nothing to stop his corrupted self). Tentacles are also now at least partially canon due to corrupted Girlfriend. And let's not get into what a potential Nexus form for Boyfriend could do.

If I’m being honest I’m pretty sure Cuphead(from his game, not his show) could beat Nightmare Bf even in base form, nightmare bf seems to have the ability to rapidly attack and take damage. But that’s the thing about cuphead, he can and has dodged much more difficult things than Bfs attack, laser beams, fire balls, lightning. You name it, cuphead has dodged it. So dodging Bfs attacks wouldn’t be that difficult. Cuphead may lose a Hitpoint or two, but that’s about it. Not to mention cuphead’s LANDSLIDE of options for attacks, he can smoke dash past nightmare Bfs attacks. Parry unreactable attacks with the P.Sugar. Take extra damage with the health charms.
His charge blast is much stronger than whatever bf can put out. He can make undodgable chaser shots, the roundabout allows for the option for many surprise attacks, the peashooter is a great pressure weapon along with the Lobber. The spread could put cuphead to a massive advantage whenever up close as it’s BUILT for tanks(like nightmare bf)
Don’t even get me STARTED on the options that open up with EX attacks.
Super arts also tend to open up the options to an extreme bit.
Any ultimate attacks nightmare bf want to do? That cuphead simply can’t dodge? Use the invincibility art. Allows for him to even get up close with spread after the attack span. Super art three allows for a h great barrage to keep bf on his toes! Super art one is a huge blast likely to overwhelm bf as it’s one that can take out the freaking devil!
As shown in Nightmare cuphead Vs the devil, nightmare forms can and DO make mistakes and take damage. Though they give you a paralyzing recoil when you do land a hit, that’s only for melee. And what do you know? Cuphead is not only entirely ranged based but only has ONE non ranged attack. Which he can only do during parrying!
So let’s round up some stats. Huh?
STR=Bf>>>Cuphead(admittedly giving this stat to bf. As he can hold gf with one hand in base while we haven’t seen cuphead do anything)
Speed=cuphead>>>>nightmare bf(he’s reacted to much more attacking him much more fluently. Even using mod canon bf usually stands in place while dodging a single attack while cuphead has to dodge endless varieties.)
Experience=Cuphead>>>>>>>Nightmare Bf(bf rap battles for a living, RAP BATTLES. Meanwhile cuphead did deeds for the devil and has fought every variety of boss you can fight. Which puts him way up there as he has experience in every field)
Intelligence-Cuphead>>>>Nightmare Bf(cuphead is greedy. Not dumb, greedy. And while his intelligence seems on a basic level. It’s much more than Bf, who’s stupidity and confidence makes it to where he cannot process fear unless it’s lightning and doesn’t back out of fights he’s gonna lose)
Battle IQ-Cuphead>Nightmare bf(while bf has little to no battle IQ, nightmare forms bring it up almost an indescribable amount. But I still give the slight edge to cuphead due to how much his battle IQ has been sharpened from having to constantly adapt to every type of attack in order to survive.he had to be nearly flawless to defeat the devil. And someone as stupid and inexperienced with bf, even with such an indescribably huge boost from nightmare forms, would still slip just below what cuphead has.)
Arsenal-Cuphead>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Nightmare bf
(Nightmare bf has a mic throw and maybe a few new attacks from the form. That’s cool! Way better than base bf. But it will never come CLOSE to the HUGE arsenal cuphead has. He has so many abilities to cover so many situations it’s overwhelming. And that’s not even gonna include his arsenal basically doubling when the delicious last course releases. Which will have already released for everyone reading this a bit later)
Durability-Nightmare bf>>>>>>Cuphead
(Cuphead can only take 3 hits, 5 with charms. Meanwhile nightmares have such an unbelievable amount of durability!
But you know what’s the funny part? Cuphead, the entire GAME is about dealing with bosses with 10x more durability and strength! Cuphead is practically BUILT to fight someone like this!)
So that rounds it out
Nightmare BF is stronger and can take more hits
Cuphead has a bigger arsenal, more IQ, more battle IQ, is faster, and is much more experienced.

So can cuphead, and it’s even in the BASE GAME lore.
Cupheads retry’s are canon to the story due to the pool in inkwell isle two. An actual character in the franchise!(i remember him even being in the show.) tells cuphead his deaths. That’s right, that makes his retry’s actually canon.
It would be a constant retry battle, if anything. And considering an average cuphead player’s drive to retry a boss hundreds if not thousands of times. And how cuphead is gonna make bf retry dozens of times before bf can make cuphead retry. I give the victory to cuphead
