I heard this on Seattle’s KING FM and was charmed to the core. I’ve never heard of this composer but kudos to the artists on this album who brought him to light. One of the freshest and most delightful things from the classical era I’ve heard in a long time. You go, Joe!

@@HenkVeenstra666 It is so sad that fine composers like Wolfl basically had their music forgotten not long after their death. It seems that the closer the composer was associated with Beethoven, the more glad people were to forget about that composer. Joseph Wolfl, Ferdinand Ries, J N Hummel, and others were so eclipsed by Beethoven that we are just now starting to appreciate them after a couple of hundred years.

Passava bem sem o cuco. A imitação de animais parece-me um tanto "primitiva". Beethoven fê-lo num contexto absolutamente adequado: a Sinfonia Pastoral.
