I worked at indigo (essentially Canada’s B&N) and it was some of the happiest months of my life. There’s something so comforting about being in a bookstore so working in one was a dream come true! Time travels differently when you’re in a bookstore I swear
When I started getting into manga and anime, I begged my parents to take me to the bookstore constantly. But sometimes I was bummed out because a manga issue would be missing that I needed, and stupid kid me thought I had to wait until it just showed up to have it. My tiny mind nearly EXPLODED when the woman behind the counter told me "We can just order more books for you if your parents want to pay for them." Mind. Blown.
This was posted on the perfect day. I helped my girlfriend of 2 years move into college today. It was really hard because this will be the farthest we have ever lived from each other. This really helped as a distraction for me 🤍 I hope she's doing well
Man. I love Barnes and nobles. That's the best place to find some books to read. Usually when I shop there, I buy sci-fi fantasy books to keep myself busy.
I absolutely adore Barnes and Noble. It's such a relaxing place, and also the only store where I can 100% guarantee I won't walk out without buying something.

I've never been to the US but based on what I know, the UK equivalent to Barnes and Noble is Waterstones. The one in my town used to be a chapel and it looks absolutely magical. It gives me very much Harry Potter vibes whenever I go. Bookstores are such wonderful places.

Barnes and Noble, Chapters, small book stores, book sections of thrift stores and libraries bring me much joy. They are my happy places and nothing beats going in, looking through the books, picking them out yourself and smelling the wonderful aroma of books. I have an ereader which I LOVE, but I still prefer the old fashioned way of getting my hands on good reads.

it's super fun, but make sure you try and set up stuff beforehand because making characters when you don't know what you're doing is very hard and probably not what you want to do when wanting to sit down and actually play an adventure
I finally started watching My Hero Academia after watching Gibi shill it for years, and hory shet it's so good! Two weeks in and I'm already on season 5. And I don't even like anime. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
I remember my Barnes and Noble days growing up and going into college. Excellent memories. I'm now a Books-a-Million member as the selection seems more vast than B&N but when I'm not looking for any specific book or manga, I hit up a couple local bookstores in my area instead to just get lost in the shelves of used books, and to support the businesses. Have found some excellent gems over the years. This is lovely, as always, and now back to my own books I go. I've got like 7+ I wanna get through. 📖

Every year my hs librarian would take the book club to Barnes and Nobles to pick out books for the library (requested and then left over money we could use to choose books). Afterwards we would have get something to eat, return to the school and have a lock-in in the library, but we were allowed to roam the rest of the school as well (for flashlight tag, hide-and-seek, etc). Its one of my few fondest memories from hs, cause my school sucked, so I really have a sentimental feel towards B&N :)

I don't read much, but I like to go to libraries and book stores. The atmosphere is so relaxing and I love how the books smell and feel. Especially, I like older books when you can see that many people have read it. I like to think what kind of people they were and what were their thoughts and where were they reading it. It seems that someone speaking about books is also relaxing.

I don't read much, but I like to go to libraries and book stores. The atmosphere is so relaxing and I love how the books smell and feel. Especially, I like older books when you can see that many people have read it. I like to think what kind of people they were and what were their thoughts and where were they reading it. It seems that someone speaking about books is also relaxing.

Another good Barnes and Noble video could be a roleplay as another customer who's really into book and helps you pick out books. Could do a clerk too but i like the idea of just some random person helping...and then turn it into a series because that person is always there. Could even do one with Daisy.
The Song of Achilles made me cryyyyyyyy it was such a beautifully written story from a unique perspective.
