Your husband is really a very good person which always reflects in his face and smile.
Rumela u did the right thing...getting hitched to an American guy was the best decision of your life. Had you gotten married to an Indian guy again, you would have been knee-deep in despair. He would have reminded you day in and day out what a huge favor he had done to you. A marriage that is not based on equality and unconditional positive regard is not marriage at all. Not all good marriages are based on unconditional love but unconditional positive regard has to be there between a husband and wife, which Indian men really don't practice in real life. Very few do but they are a handful few. The fact that you can go back to school to fulfill your dreams and raise all your kids with so much love has only been possible because of your wise decision. So rock on. Work hard and achieve your goals. Live life to the fullest. Equally lucky is Richard to have you in his life. May this marriage never get stale.
