To anwnser your thought on how Ikit claw and the members of the council of thirteenen live so long, it is because they are able to drain the life source of shaven slaves through a machine: The reference is in the black library book “rise of the horned rat” where lord gnawdwell explains to queek how he has lived so long and telling him how he could aswell as long as he successfully captured Karnak eight peaks for clan mors

Took nearly a whole year after this video, two new factions who all got four LL and got regiments of renown, plus several campaign updates to old races for Ikit to FINALLY find his way into the game as the fourth skaven lord. And alog with him much needed additions to the skaven and a much needed update to the skaven campaign mechanics.

Hi inept general, just wanted to save I absolutely love your videos. You are by far my favorite total war Warhammer more CZcamsr! You always bring so much energy when you read and make it very easy for me to visualize the battles and happenings in the lore. You also manage to keep it casual and not be over the top serious. Keep up the videos man, I’ve proudly been watching them for ages now.

Something I just realized. Assuming the Council of Thirteen has remained the same since the Horned Rat appeared, then Ikkit Claw is (unless there’s some other lore I’m missing) one of only 13 Skaven still alive who has actually SEEN the Horned Rat. Which is interesting to note. Also, if we see Ikkit as a legendary lord, maybe we’ll get his automatons as regiment of renown. Just have them be a special unit of Stormvermin that are unbreakable and have high armor values. That would be pretty cool, right?

The rat who made a nuke, only in warhammer. I was expecting thanqol as next skaven lord given his popularity
The biggest issue with introducing Thanquol is that there isn't a great set of units to introduce. Ikit would be amazing because he fits naturally into an introduction of numerous Skyre units. I still want my *Jezzails*.

I think thanquol, gotrick and felix if they are introduced will be with a dogs of war DLC.
Thanquol obviously would be a shaven lord but the other two could be dogs of war to allow for accuratish lore as they fought with so many differing races and units.
It's fairly amusing how well Ikit can actually fight in melee. He employs a bunch of tricks, sure, but it says a lot about his ingenuity.
Ikit would make for such an interesting Legendary lord in TW Warhammer. They could actually make him the only lord to have a standard ranged attack, a lore of magic and also decent melee capabilities. He'd probably be expensive af to pick in multiplayer but there's always some stuff you can cut, spells like cracks call for example.

I’d love if there was a quest where you have to go out and gather resources to make the doomsphere, maybe if he is included in vortex, he would be like the tomb kings, not interested in the vortex but scouring the map for resources to build the doomsphere hopefully with custom cutscenes and ikkit narrating his creation: I’d love CA to do that

I love how in depth your videos are, most lore channels like arch warhammer or loremaster of sotek dont usually go so far in depth which is perfectly fine but I feel like I get a better feel for the characters from your videos.
Could you please do a lengthy lore video on thanquol and bone ripper? I can't find any good ones anywhere and your narrations are some of my favorites.

foggy9900 To be fair based on how the running trend of all the other races the starting pairs of lords are a Melee lord and a caster lord or a melee lord and a monstrous lord, and Queek is the Skaven's best melee lord.

many don't realize that master splinter from tmnt fought with the great vermintide including the skaven civil war he was young once and indeed like many of his kind thick headed he at certain points clashed with pickle rick the two formed a bitter rivalry they never could quite finish their feud they would both eventually retire never telling those who asked for the horrors they had seen time passed... and eventually they faded into legend...

The skaven remind me of grunts from halo.. they both reproduce extremely fast and never seem to end plues they also have low leadership. I think that's why the skaven are my favorite race in WH2

I think ikit had greenskin spells back in 4th as well as the 8 lores along with shaven and other lores to choose from

"Count as level 3 wizard?" Are yo usure of that? He was nerfed then, because he used to be level 4 in earlier editions (and that's far more logical with his lore than a mere level 3). I still have the WH army for skaven, and just checked, it's written as level 4.

hey inept, are skaven actually short lived, or do they just not make it to an old age do to getting murdered?
I read a short story that strongly implied that Skaven have roughly human-like lifepspans, though a few of them have found ways to prolong their lives. That may not be canon these days, though.
I remember he mention Sleek's age around 12 years old before getting slain by Queek in Queek's video. he's really old.
Skaven are fully adult by the age own 18 to 24 months, and can live in that adult state naturally for a few decades at best.
There are obviously some methods to pass this weakness, though.
The white-furred grey seers, a mutation of the standard skaven, have longer life-spans, perhaps able to reach 40 or 50 before they peter out. Unless of course they find other means to prolong themselves.. Some of the plague priests of Pestilens are actually horned grey seer whelps that the disease worshipping heretics refused to turn over to the Order of Grey Seers.
