Ben Beckman is holding the gun like that because the only time we have seen him use his gun is as a club all the way back in the beginning of the series against the mountain bandits, he's never actually fired it
You're correct on the Sabo/Teach interaction. Teach only locks effects, meaning anything within the effect text box. It does not lock effects of an effect already in effect. However, this does mean Nami dies in the Teach meta from decking out.
@@TheGreatPewpyOne yes it’s not an effect so it doesn’t lock down nami’s win condition, not even the new shanks gets locked. They’re both conditions of them being on the field not an effect.
The 7c/7k SR cycle seems to be second-in-commands for their respective leaders. Beckham for Shanks, Croc (likely Mihawk too?) for Buggy, Sanji (and Zoro?) for Luffy. BB and Robin both have cards for themselves. Most of BB's main crew has already been leaked and none have been SRs, and Robin doesn't really have a second, so they might miss out on this cycle.
Blackbeard effect says only on the turn you play just for the sentence about leader effect nullification. We may be able to use the character nullification every turn since it’s activate main and says “after this” without any restriction in a different sentence.
@@cardkaizokuman I kept re-watching to see if you mentioned it. Either way its really interesting that they showed just a rare for Robin instead of an SR
it kinda feels on brand for Robin too. Even though she is such an important character, she isnt a big fighter, so saving that SR slot for a big impact character makes sense
I think You got it wrong with the black beard. It negates the effect of an opponent leader and a character UNTIL THE END OF THE OPPONENTS NEXT TURN, so activate main and when attacking abilities are also negated
The text states "相手のリーダー1枚までを、このターン中、効果を無効にする" 相手のリーダー1枚までを = 1 of your opponent's leader このターン中 = For this turn 効果を無効にする = Effect is nullified The part that talks about characters is prefixed with 次の相手のターン終了時まで, which means until the end of your opponent's next turn. It reference leaders and characters separately
the first effect on the leader is only till the end of bb's turn, the character card on the field negation effect is till the end of your opponent's turn. The leader effect negation also can only be used when bb is dropped, sort of a cheeky way to have an on play effect.
I don't know if it has been already confirmed or not, but from the wording alone I think Shanks Leader ability can actually be activated on both your enemy's turn and yours. After the first part of the ability there is a dot that separates it from the actual effect that is giving -1k, and I guess that's why the ability has the "Once per turn" keyword instead of the "When opponent attacks", meaning that you may activate it on your turn. Anyway, I'm gonna play him anyway, just because.
The new Robin is extremely good in the new robin leader. You can use katakuri and 9c mom to put stuff in their life on curve to then keep playing out new 6c robin. Example of an odd curve: 3 don: dereshii+ swing and force a counter. Ramp 6 don: new robin + swing to force another counter. Ramp if you have 9 mom cause they would only have 6 don on their turn as well. 8-9: drop katakuri or 9 mom for board control or another 6 drop robin to force trash a life+ big leader swing. You're basically making it so your opponent has to give up on their life cards completely, you'd never swing with board unless it's to clear enemy board or you have onami to give your characters banish. Sounds very oppressive on paper. Even blackbeard couldn't actually stop your on plays every turn cause he would just run out of cards unless he gets an insane draw engine.
Why is the wording for croc so bad ? Almost sounds like he plays 1 cross guild and 1 5cost, otherwise it would be play a 5 cost or less with cross guild type or do I miss something ?
I like that these good cards also have counter, less bricks in hand. Croc plus miss all Sunday gonna be interesting. On 7 don turn can play Robin draw one and ramp to 8, getting to 10 don a turn earlier
@@colemandepretis4199 with buggy you cant play Ms All Sunday and ramp a don 😅. Your Only choices are Mr. 1 (Draw 2 and discard 1) or vanilla Crocodile. Both are "former Baroque works" so they arent searchable in a pure blue deck. Thats give you poor chances of have the combo at turn 3 in hand. We must see the other cards in the set, but it seems pretty bad.
After seeing the new Benn Beckman, the wording on the leader Shanks ability makes me think that it might be usable on both your turn and on the opponent's turn if they attack. It would let you give -1k to a 7k character to let Benn KO it, but it seems crazy if he could make the opponent's leader 4k during Shanks' turn. But it also doesn't have the blue "On opponent's attack" text like the Baroque Works cards, so....
Isn't Shanks active on your turn as well? Due to the wording and lack of 'On Opponent's Attack', leads me to believe you can both activate this on your turn at any time, *and* exclusively on your opponent's attack, if you decide to do so. Please correct me if I'm missing something

Ah, so he ate the club club fruit allowing him to turn any object into a blunt weapon.
Sanji works on Reiju and matches perfectly with the Germa Suit Sanji

But isn't Nami's "when your deck hits 0 card you win" more like a condition than an actual effect/ability?
@@TheGreatPewpyOne yes it’s not an effect so it doesn’t lock down nami’s win condition, not even the new shanks gets locked. They’re both conditions of them being on the field not an effect.

I played op01 baroque works at the time so seeing that new croc made me think of my double finger antics
I will always take new support for OG Croc
Robin trigger can bring olivia down and your leader is 8k

There's another part of the ability that limits it only to the turn you play it. Similarly to the 9c Kaido from OP08.
@cardkaizoku I noticed what I believe is a very small, but significant error. The yellow 6c Robin looks like just a rare, not an SR

Crocodile's effect plays 2 from hand! Thats crazy
With black maria from op08, shanks sr looks viable in RP Law
That's if they don't ban him

blackbeard completly kill nami and enel like it's nothing
That 10c Shanks + rp luffy or Whitebeard could be wild
So the only "Black Beard Pirates" event card from OP08 was prep for OP09 😂😂😂
This entire game is a spoiler if you arent caught up with the manga or anime so idk how people play this if they are that concerned.
That sanji can fit to Kaido in exchange to King 🤣

They might as well should've used 'Active: Main // On Opponent's Turn'
I'm sure they wouldn't allow you to just make your opponent's leader permanently -1k on your turn for free.
Doesn’t it literally say when your opponent attacks
