I wondered about Atem's body too but it seemed that he just vanished. When you return to Egypt the characters seem to imply that he disappeared rather than being declared dead or having any kind of burial. I suppose he might've also been disposed of quietly but that would be pretty dark even for Yu-Gi-Oh, plus it doesn't really explain how he came back in the same body.
I had thought the girl that was taken hostage at the beginning was a version of Mana but in hindesight I don't think they actually name her. The similarity is pretty clear though which makes me think she was perhaps a prototype.
Also, Ishizu is named Isis in this game, which is a more accurate translation of her name, and matches Isis from Egyptian mythology (the character she is based on). Her design does seem to be a prototype as it likely predated Battle City.
Lastly, I think it's a shame Heishin never received a voice in any Yu-Gi-Oh media. I always imagined Tony Jay's voice when reading his dialogue, based on his appearance.
P.S. The UK didn't get Forbidden memories as early as 1998. It was in 2002 to coincide with the anime broadcasts.
You didn't want to mention that in the International release that it's impossible to complete the entire 722 card library? That 33 cards are missing. So only 689 cards can be obtained in the original vanilla release.
Wasn't relevant to the video, I believe I briefly mentioned those cards when talking about the mods you can play for FM.
Like I played Forbidden Memories and... it was really rough, really rough. I tried to play the game, epic osts, REALLY HARD (eyes Reshef of Destruction) and ya... really hard to get the cards you need. And yes, Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon is boss monster necessary.
I might play this game with the site you suggested, would be fun to play it again and actually beat it. Anyway, great video! Looking forward when you do the other Yugioh video games!
I can agree, the game has such a learning curve that you need to overcome in order to get any major enjoyment out of it.
