    . There have been a lot of new ceramic and graphene infused tire dressings over the past year, and they are putting the traditional tire shines to shame. Each one of these here is a great option and won't wash away after water or chemical exposure. Which one is your favorite?

    I've only used the TW Graphene out all of these products. What I've enjoyed about it is that once the initial satin gloss is washed, the tires stay nice and black. I suspect the black pigments assist with that. It seems to give a solid 3-4 week duration.
    As Martin mentioned, it drys quickly. Satisfying product. 👍

    Great content, thanks. Been using Adam’s Graphene but didn’t know it was silicone based. I want to try Darkside but $11 for the TW is hard to pass up. People bitching about the condition of your test tire are annoying.

    Darkside is the Heavyweight Champion when it comes to appearance and long lasting performance on the tire. It makes the rubber sidewalls look so good! My previous favorite tire dressing was PERL but Darkside is better and it lasts longer. I’ve had several maintenance customers tell me it’s the best their tires have ever looked.

    Turtlewax for me. Dark side attracts dust and browning giving its a greasy solvent. The acrylic in TW is dry to the touch and gets super shiny if sprayed on as the directions imply.

      Have you tried or are you assuming it does?
      Cause that’s not been the case for me.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Před rokem +3

      I find that if the excess of Darkside isn't wiped off then the solvents that do not dry can definitely attract dust. TW does dry much faster and easier being a water base. Personally I don't spray directly on tires because it gets too messy, but I have low profile tires.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Před rokem

      You can't really top tire dressings with anything other than reapplying more as it wears off. It's mostly due to how rubber rejects products made for painted surfaces.

    Which do y’all think is best for muddy tires?

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Před rokem +1

      I would say just based off my tests, carpro, griots, and hybrid solutions. By muddy tires I am assuming you mean something that will drive through mud. definitely make sure to thoroughly clean the tire before applying.

    It's rare for me, but meguiar's disappoints me a bit. I like the look of it but I would have thought and liked it to be super hydrophobic, especially coming from the hybrid ceramic range!. That's why I like meguiar's hot shine tire spray, with its dark matt and very water-repellent appearance. Is the new meguiar's water-based or solvent-based?. Thank you my friend.

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Před rokem +1

      It's water based. Though the car I applied it too, after 1 week and a wash, the hydrophobics were great.

      @nicorallysport Před rokem

      @@BelLavoroAutoSpa OK so it is very hydrophobic at first, sorry if I miss something you explain, English is not my mother tongue! 😉. Also, what is your opinion on solvent-based products?. Are they really bad for plastic and rubber as many say?!. Thanks in advance for your help my friend.
      In any case keep it up, I love your tests!! 👍 👍 👍

    • @BelLavoroAutoSpa
      @BelLavoroAutoSpa  Před rokem +2

      @Nico RS Mob & detailing I don't think they are bad. These more respected companies know what they are doing and would not put out products that are bad for your vehicle. In fact, rubber and plastic are made from petroleum just as these pretolium solvent based dressings are. I have never seen anyone have a bad experience with a solvent based dressing that damaged their tires or plastic trim.

    • @nicorallysport
      @nicorallysport Před rokem +1

      @@BelLavoroAutoSpa It's true for me neither, yet I regularly use Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel and Hot Shine Tire Spray (all 2 solvent-based). Your reflection on the manufacture of these petroleum-based materials is very well thought out!. next time I will try meguiar's detailer D160 all season dressing. Looks really nice and gallon to me compared to the consumer version of hot shine tire spray!. Thanks again friend 👍

    The only way I was able to remove TW Graphene or Adam's Graphene was to use Stoners Tar Remover . These new Gen tire dressings are no joke. If you ever get a chance to try Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care I think you'll be impressed. I personally don't like any shiny look to my tires. Rubber Care leaves a rich, dark black new rubber look with zero greasy look left behind. As well as UV protection and Hydrophobics. Highly Recommend

    I've tried Adams and Darkside(which I've been using lately) and to be honest I'm NOT impressed with either one. Darkside WILL NOT last long if it rains and you'll be lucky to get two weeks out of it if it never rains. I've yet to find a product that lasts over two weeks with no rain.

      These won't run either when applied properly. I know pledge is an old trick from back in the day. I might put it to the test to really see how it holds up over time. Keep in mind all of these save for Carpro are water based (Carpro is pretolium based) After some further reading, it looks like the chemical composition of Pledge is really bad for rubber and plastics over time, as it does not protect them and nstead further deterioates them causing them to crack and fade. No thanks!
